We are pleased to present you a new update that adds collectible items!
In certain areas in different parts of the world, you may encounter postage stamps. They depict the most famous landmarks - both natural and man-made. You can pick them up and add them to your collection. A total of 30 stamps have been added, 5 for each part of the world.
We added 6 achievements for collecting stamps in each part of the world. And also, by popular demand, we have included several achievements related to the recently-introduced Ladder mode.
In addition, as always, the update contains various bug fixes:
custom scenario saves are now deleted if the scenario has been edited
fixed speed bonus calculation
in Libya, the second city of Gadamis has been removed and replaced with Nalut
fixed recording of game time on the statistics screen
fixed a bug where the checkbox for agreeing to the terms and conditions was not cleared before publishing a user scenario
fixed a visual bug in the free play progression bar
fixed layout of the editor window in 1024x768 resolution
fixed a bug caused by the possibility of entering too large values in the custom scenario settings fields
fixed a bug where bonuses would disappear when restarting the current game session
minor localization errors have been fixed
hopefully fixed the bug where it was sometimes impossible to progress in Ladder mode after some point
Which of the sights depicted on the stamps have you personally visited? Share in the comments if you have already tried the update.
Update 1.1.9 - many improvements for Ladder Mode!
We continue to work to improve the game. Today's 1.1.9 update includes many different fixes.
Perhaps the most important changes concern the recently added Ladder Mode. We have added an autosaves to this mode. So, now you don’t have to keep in mind that you need to save before leaving the game. Also, all texts related to the Ladder Mode have been translated into all languages available in the game.
Fixed bugs: - Now, after restarting the game in Ladder Mode, upgrades received earlier are not lost. - Fixed a bug when the game could freeze when exiting the game on pause. - Fixed missing penalties for overloaded airports after restarting the game in Ladder Mode. - Fixed a bug that caused the "Exit to menu" button not to work after losing in a scenario. - Fixed display of East Timor on the map. - Fixed a bug with incorrect detection of the Free Game save type. - Fixed a bug when after the event “Development grant” no money was added to your balance. - Fixed bugs with broken Ladder Mode on macOS.
In the meanwhile, we are also working on an update that adds collectible items - postage stamps. This update will be released in April.

Reviewing three interesting scenarios of the last month
While we're working on the next update, community presents more and more interesting scenarios!
Let us remind you that our game has a scenario editor and the ability to upload your scenario to the server. At the moment, almost 2.500 scenarios have been published even despite the fact that we periodically purge the worst ones that have no value for players.
Let's look at three scenarios that caught our attention this month.
The first scenario is 4 Corners by KMS. We start in Canada with quite a big amount of money and the game instantly asks us whether we want to get rid of first level airports and airplanes. We advise you to do so right now because it will definitely help us in the future. At the same time, we see that the scenario is quite long as we need to survive for 60 minutes. And quite soon we understand why our initial amount of money is quite large: the next country that unlocks automatically after a minute is Argentina, located thousands of kilometers away from Canada. As we progress, New Zealand and Russia are unlocked. As you may've already guessed, the scenario is named 4 Corners because the only countries that you are operating in are the countries situated in the four corners of the game map. However, you should not only pay attention to long-distance flights as cities are progressively unlocking in each of countries, so short flights are as important.
In the next scenario called Connect 100 cities in SEA by Geography, we'll help the ASEAN region to develop a modern airline network. The goal is the same as in previous scenario - we'll have to survive for 60 minutes. The specific thing here is that Asian countries have very high passenger flow, and sometimes you'll have to react rapidly to certain changes or events.
The final today's scenario is called Europe from A to UK and is made by CVDB. Here we'll need to unlock all countries of Europe in alphabetical order, starting from Albania, a small country with 5 available cities. Earning money is a really hard task at first, but this is compensated by more than 2 hours that are given to you to complete the scenario. Countries are unlocked automatically over time, so your primary task is to keep an eye on your hubs and flights, and prevent the situation from spiraling out of control.
You can find these scenarios in the game, in Custom Scenarios. Convenient search is available there, available for look either by scenario name or by author's name.
Have you tried creating your own scenarios and uploading them to the server? How many players rated it and which rating have you got? Share your experience in the comments!

Announcing the new update!
"Since Fly Corp allows us to visit different places on our planet, why wouldn't we make some unique items that tell us about this or that territory?" - we thought. The idea transformed into collecting items, namely postage stamps. Each one of them will depict a famous landmark or sight. Postage stamps will appear randomly in all game modes provided that the territory in which the landmark is located has already been unlocked by the player. We're planning to introduce 30 stamps (five for each of the six parts of the world, so they will be evenly distributed) at the release of this update. We'd be glad if this update allows you to learn something useful and interesting!
This update is scheduled for release in the second quarter of this year.
In the meantime, tell us in the comments which famous sights or landmarks you have visited and which ones you liked the most.

First plans for the next year!
Today, we're ready to introduce the new game mode which is soon going to appear in Fly Corp.
Ladder Mode is similar to the regular Free Mode - it doesn't have the timer and the goal, and you can't lose because of airport overload.
Ladder Mode has almost 200 levels to complete. On each level, the initial territory is selected randomly, and you will need to unlock a certain number of territories to complete the level. On each level, the number of territories to unlock increases so that you will need to unlock one, two, three countries and so on. After each level, you will be able to choose an upgrade for your network. It would be effective in both Ladder and Classic Free Mode. For example, you will be able to increase capacity of planes and airports, speed of planes, initial amount of money etc.
You will also be able to compare your progress with others. Leaderboard will show who has achieved the highest level.
The update is scheduled to be released in a couple of months. We hope you'll like it!
We would like to take this opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 2023 was a very productive year for us. Vote for Fly Corp at Steam Awards!
The autumn sale on Steam has begun, where you can purchase Fly Corp at a 40% discount!
By the way, the annual Steam Awards nomination also starts today, where the best games of the year are selected in certain categories, and each of you can vote and influence the outcome. The best reward for a developer is recognition from players, and that is why we invite you to take part in the Steam Awards too.
Of course, for players who don't want a challenge and just want to relax, Fly Corp offers a Free Mode where it's impossible to lose. However, you can also find truly complex scenarios in Fly Corp, which out of thousands of players have so far only been conquered by a few. Even we, when creating them, spent many days and even weeks to finally go through and make sure that it was possible. As a reminder, these scenarios in the game are located in the "Extreme Scenarios" set. And the “Discover The World” mode often throws up unpleasant surprises: have you ever had a major transport hub be blocked due to some event? And the increase in prices for new aircraft at the most inopportune moment? What about a sue from a passenger due to minor inconveniences during the flight? We nominate Fly Corp for the title "The Best Game You Suck At". Help us by voting for our game!
For us, our highest goal has always been and remains to continue to delight players around the world with high-quality and interesting projects, and we are very pleased to receive positive feedback from you.
