Bug fix, Optimization

Bugs regarding gameplay after mission reset and doors were fixed. Vegetation shader was improved, vegetation transparency will not change with the viewing distance. Various optimizations were implemented.

New assets, Optimization, Bug fix

Level loading has been improved and optimized. New trees and props were added. “House” map surroundings were improved. Vegetation shader was improved so the trees won’t blink in certain conditions anymore.

Today’s update is more of a cosmetic type, nevertheless we are still working on the final verification and balancing of the singleplayer levels and finishing the multiplayer mode.

Vegetation improvements, Optimization

Vegetation shader and assets have been improved and optimized. Deciduous trees have now new models and textures. All outdoor plants have now a way better, new animations. Rendering has been optimized.

Lighting system update, Levels update, Optimization, Bug fix

Lighting system has been entirely updated. Every mission has now a new lighting. Light in cellar was added so it isn’t dark in there anymore. Visibility in night missions is also a lot better now. Most of the artifacts (light leaking on diagonal walls and on the roof and black or bright spots on the walls) have been removed. Levels have been updated to a completely new technical architecture. Levels are now even more optimized so the game should work more smoothly. All levels have been checked in terms of props colliding with each other. Reflections in windows were also improved. Few new props were added. Textures of some of the props were improved. Some of the existing props were modified. First ten levels were verified in terms of story. Overall playability was improved. Shaders were improved. Physics system was optimized.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Due to the change of level architecture some of the levels (except first ten) may be a bit buggy. We are currently working on final verification of levels.

We also recommend clearing your local game data for Flying Circus in Steam.

Furthermore we have to inform that due to the current global situation we may not be able to upload future updates in time. Nevertheless we still plan to run the two week update schedule.

Today’s Update

We want to inform that today’s update will be postponed due to unexpected delays in development process. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

We are currently working on improving lighting on "House" map and finishing singleplayer campaign.

Sound improvement, Optimization, Bug fix

Sound system in general was optimized and improved. Many new sounds were added. Engine sounds for both propeller and jet/rocket aircrafts are now finally working (it will be further improved). Sounds for machine guns and cannons were improved and are now different for every aircraft. Various minor UI bugs were found and fixed.

We also want to remind that yesterday we introduced the Flying Circus Early Acces Roadmap. It contains a list of features we want to implement before Final Release, which of them we are currently working on and which of those are going to be included/improved in upcoming updates.

Optimization, UI improvement, Added new sounds, Bug fix

Lighting rendering and aircraft selection screen were optimized. UI theme style was refined and various minor UI bugs were fixed. Sounds for collecting Golden Stars, Silver Stars and weaponry were improved.

Added multiplayer classes, Bug fix, optimization

Multiplayer now allows playing with aircrafts unlocked in singleplayer campaign (this is temporary solution and will be changed in the near future with addition of progression and perks system). New UI screens for managing and editing multiplayer classes were added. Various minor bugs were fixed. Various features were optimized.

Improved stability, Bug fix, optimization

Bug with break-ups breaking by themselves when the level is loaded was fixed. Bug with disappearing doors was also fixed. Doors won't disappear when they are opened and camera is facing away from them. Doors' collision meshes were corrected. Various minor bugs were fixed.
