FORCED v1.03 live!

Hi everyone, today we've got a number of fixes focused on alleviating the network and crashing issues people have had since launch.

Here's the changelog:

  • General

    • Reduced memory usage in Main menu, Preparation Room and Hall of Trials. This should fix many of the crashed people have experienced.
    • The mouse is now locked in the window when playing in fullscreen mode.
    • Vsync option available in settings.
    • Fixed an issue with some ability descriptions not appearing when right-clicked.


  • Network

    • Implemented friend invites, you can now invite and connect to your friends directly through the steam overlay. Using this feature will also help in connecting to people.
    • Opened server list search to all download regions for steam. This will enable everyone to find games from around the world. Beware however that this will mean some connections might be unstable and cause lag.
    • Made an attempted fix at the issues with massive network spikes with regular intervals.


  • Linux

    • Fixed some issues preventing players from proceeding past the starting screen.
    • Fixed some issues with the mark system not working on Linux.

Patch 1.02 going live!

This patch contains:

A fix in corrupted files that we believe made some trials unplayable or made the game crash at load times on some systems.

The warlock would get stuck when trying to cast a spell on a Spirit Decoy. No mo’.

Search range. You can now search for games by their location relative to you (Near, Far, World wide). We still havn’t been able to fix pings for all, but this should help with the issue of finding games with good ping.

German translation had some words missing – It is fixed now! Bitte schön.

The beginning of an invite system (for some reason you’ll have to join the game twice for it to work as it is now. Working on it)


As always, we've done some internal testing of this version, but we'll try and get right on with working on the next patch, so if you encounter any issues, please let us know. That's what we're here for ;)

Saturday Morning Patching

Hi there!
You might have noticed a little patch and a really hasty second patch this morning. That was just us trying to rework the entire matchmaking structure (hey what could go wrong), then failing, pulling our hair and reverting to a (more) stable build.
We'll try again later with some more testing, and hopefully that will help with the current server list issues.

Servers online again!

Hey everyone, the servers are now up.

Thanks for waiting, now the experience should go much smoother as the community expands.

Servers under heavy load

Hi everyone,

FORCED is currently receiving a lot more attention than we had initially expected, and we're afraid our servers might not be up for the task, so we're trying to upgrade our capacity to pre-empt any problems.
Unfortunately, this means the network might be down for some time, but we're expecting it to be running smoothly in a few hours.

Singleplayer will still be available of course, and you can play local co-op if you have friends nearby, so don't let technical issues stop you!

FORCED v1.0 Released!

Hello everyone, today we’ve got the final build of FORCED for you, with the last few bug-fixes we could squeeze in before launch!

We want to thank everyone who participated in the early development of FORCED, it wouldn't have been the same without you!

We will keep working and expanding on the game in the future, making patches and new content for all the Gladiators out there, so stay tune for more FORCED action!

Hello everyone, a quick patch after the last one, this one brings localization for Russian, Spanish, Swedish, German(90%) and Portugese(90%) as well as a few bugfixes.

Hello everyone, as some of you have noticed we uploaded a new build, and we're pretty excited about the stuff we've brought to you this time, even if some of it is rather small fixes and improvements.

    • Aligned the versions for PC, Mac and Linux. All platforms should now be able to connect to each other
    • Fixed some issues with the profiles system
    • Fixed some issues with music and dialogue volumes and timings.
    • Implemented drop-out lobby, if a client leaves a 3-4 player game, the remaining players will enter a lobby together.


  • Hall of Trials

    • Chamber 4 population in Hall of Trials finalized.


  • Trials

    • Trial 9, fixed an issue with a shrine cooldown icon appearing permanently for clients.
    • Trial 18 - Lunch Time

      • Improved visual feedback of the Fly Swarm
      • Improved Graw’s death animation.

    • Trial 21, improved death animation and effect of the Blood Machine.
    • Trial 24, inserted and improved some visual effects to make Mordars spells clearer.

      • Trial 12: Don't destroy any spawnershrines
      • Trial 13: Don't recieve any healing

      • Trial 18: Only let 4/6/6/8 eggs hatch.
      • Trial 22: Never go below 180 health.



  • Survival mode

    • The Amphitheatre now has no limit on crystals while playing.


  • Enemies

    • Increased Taurus’ pin damage from 5 dmg/tick to 10 dmg/tick.
    • Increased Warlocks pin starting damage from 1 dmg/tick to 5 dmg/tick. (Still increasing by 1 every tick.


  • Frost Shield

    • Fixed an issue with the player not being able to cast Slick Moves while holding down attack.


  • Storm Bow

    • Improved visual effect of Lightning Storm so that it doesn’t obscure the battlefield too much.


  • Known Issues

    • Some of the new challenges don’t have correct texts.
