Thorne’s defenses a thorn in your side? The v26.00 Sep 6 hotfix brings two items that’ll help you inside of a base: the Shield Breaker EMP and Sticky Grenade Launcher. The Sticky Grenade Launcher uses rocket ammo, but don’t worry if you run out: the Explosive Surplus Reality Augment will seldom have you do without.

Shield Breaker EMP

Throw down a Shield Breaker EMP to damage enemy Shields and temporarily disable electrical systems like cameras, turrets, and laser grids. But watch out during your base escape, as Shield Breakers EMPs can also bring vehicles to a stop.



The best defense is defense against defenses — find Shield Breaker EMPs from the ground, Chests, and Heist Bags.

Sticky Grenade Launcher

So your robbery attempts aren’t sticking the landing. No big deal — use the Sticky Grenade Launcher to fire projectiles that stick on surfaces! These projectiles will explode after a short delay, damaging nearby enemies and structures.



Attached to the idea of the Sticky Grenade Launcher? This new weapon can be found from Chests, Holo-Chests, Heist Bags, a flying drone, or claiming a POI.

New Reality Augments

Explosive Surplus

When explosions aren’t enough, add more explosions. After activating the Explosive Surplus Reality Augment, you’ll instantly gain rocket ammo, and containers you open will always have rocket ammo. Combo the rocket-ammo-using Sticky Grenade Launcher with this Reality Augment to be a fiery force to be reckoned with!

High Voltage

Activate the High Voltage Reality Augment to instantly gain a Business Turret and Shield Breaker EMPs. With this Reality Augment activated, eliminations you get will grant additional Shield Breaker EMPs.

Storm Chaser

Also thinkable as “Storm running-away-from-er,” the Storm Chaser Reality Augment reduces the amount of Energy drained while sprinting. The drain will be even more reduced in the Storm.



If chasing the Storm (or rather, running away from the Storm) isn’t a thrill enough, the Roaming Redeploy Reality Augment has been unvaulted. Gain Glider Redeploy whenever you gain immunity to fall damage!

HEXSYLVANIA MEETS HOMEBASE

Do you feel that chill in the air? Hexsylvania’s mysterious energy is granting Husks a modifier that reduces their damage taken from weapons, abilities, and traps! How to combat these Hexsylvanian Husks? Use a Short Range modifier to make them take 50% more damage when within two tiles of a Commander or Defender.

There are treats amidst the Hexsylvanian tricks: Hexsylvanian Husks have a chance to drop healing potions when taken out at close range. Use these to keep you going in the fight!

THE DUNGEONS BELOW…

From tricks and treats, to tricks and traps. The Dungeons under Homebase have reopened — explore all five of them to find Magical Keys, collect Gold Coins, and take down monsters! Along the way, come across weapons and Heroes to add to your collection.

The first Dungeon is the mysterious Crypts. Completing the Crypts unlocks the sweltering Inferno Dungeon plus the secretive Lab Dungeon. Complete Inferno to unlock the swampy Grotto Dungeon, then complete Grotto unlock the final Dungeon: Labyrinth!

Here are the Heroes you can add to you collection by exploring these Dungeons:

Swamp Knight

Swamp Knight’s Perk Unearthly Treat increases your damage against Mist Monsters, with the damage value based on your missing Health. (The more of your Health that’s missing, the higher the damage!)

Swamp Knight’s Commander Perk Unearthly Treat+ does the same thing as Unearthly Treat, but also conjures a Phantasm to target nearby foes when you take damage.

Mermonster Ken

Mermonster Ken makes an appearance on land! His From The Depths Standard Perk boosts melee damage based on how much Health you’re missing. (The more of your Health that’s missing, the higher the damage!) His Commander Perk From The Depths+ does the same thing, but also summons a Phantasm when you dole out a heavy melee elimination.

Chaos Agent

Completing missions in the Lab Dungeon unlocks the villainous Chaos Agent, a Soldier Hero with a trick up their sleeve. Armed with the Standard Perk Quick Fingers, any ability used will also reload your equipped weapon. Chaos Agent’s Commander Perk Quick Fingers+ does the same thing as Quick Fingers, but also creates a chance for a Phantasm to spawn.

Clip’s Nightmare Returns September 6

Just as Hexylavania is giving off a mysterious energy, a nauseating spell is overtaking Hexylvania. It’s in Homebase’s best interest to dispel this curse, so do just that in the Clip’s Nightmare questline! Complete this questline — available from September 6 at 8 PM ET to October 3rd, 2023, at 8 PM ET — to unlock a Hero: Homebase’s favorite blacksmith Clip!

Bug Fixes

Several issues were resolved in the v26.00 update that we previously posted on v26.00 is now live! Reddit post.

• Fixed an issue with the Totally Rockin Out perk from being triggered again.
• Fixed an issue where the Hero Icon and Commander perk could disappear when evolving in the Hero Loadout Tab.
• Fixed an issue where the Daily Wargames was not interactable in the Storm Shield Console.

The same cursed energy that dominates the world of Jujutsu Kaisen has taken over the Battle Royale Island. Harness and wield this energy in Fortnite’s Break the Curse!, running 'til August 25, 2023, at 2 AM ET!

Destroy Cursed Llamas to learn cursed techniques. While using these techniques and battling in other ways, complete Break the Curse! Quests for cosmetic and level up rewards in the free reward track, including the Shadow Play: Toad Emote.

Learn from Llamas: Cursed Techniques

Cursed Llamas are roaming on the Island — break one and it’ll drop two cursed techniques: Straw Doll Technique and Hollow Technique: Purple.

Straw Doll Technique

The Straw Doll Technique is a swift hammer combo that launches nails filled with cursed energy. Use this technique to help nail in your win!

Hollow Technique: Purple

Often referred to as just “Purple,” this cursed technique is a secret combination of cursed techniques that erases buildings in its path and deals damage over time to enemies.

Break the Curse! Quests

Completing Break the Curse! Quests will earn you Cursed Energy. There are Break the Curse! Quests for battling on the Battle Royale Island and earning XP in creator-made islands. The more Cursed Energy you earn, the more in-game rewards you’ll unlock! Navigate to the Break the Curse! tab in the Lobby to keep track of your Cursed Energy and remaining rewards.

On this screen, you’ll notice the free reward track and the Premium Reward Track upgrade which is unlockable for a fee. The free reward track contains 11 unlockable rewards, including the Shadow Play: Toad Emote as the final reward.

If you purchase the Premium Reward Track upgrade, you’ll unlock extra rewards as you unlock rewards in the free reward track (without having to complete additional Quests). Go Up in the Grades

The Break the Curse! Quests start at the Grade 4 level of Jujutsu High standards, and will progress up to the Special Grade level! Each grade level’s Quests will go live sequentially and be available until August 25 at 2 AM ET:

• The Grade 4 Quests are live starting now.

• The Grade 3 Quests go live August 10 at 9 AM ET.

• The Grade 2 Quests go live August 15 at 9 AM ET.

• The Grade 1 Quests and Special Grade Quests go live August 17 at 9 AM ET.

Upon completing a certain number of Quests in a grade, you’ll receive the token for that grade. Get five tokens to unlock the Nue Glider!



Please note that the Break the Curse! free reward track items, Premium Reward Track upgrade items, and Nue Glider are not exclusive to Break the Curse!, and they may become purchasable in the Item Shop at a later date.

Jujutsu Kaisen Cup

Don’t just go up in the grades, go up in the competition too. Taking place on August 11, the Jujutsu Kaisen Cup is a Duos Zero Build tournament where you can compete to be among the top point-earning players in your region, unlocking the Good Boy Kon Emoticon.

If your duo gets three eliminations in the tournament, your jujutsu sorcery skills will be rewarded with the Gojo's Eye Emoticon. Also, all players who earn at least eight points will earn the Yuji's Training Spray!



Competitors can play up to ten matches within their region’s three-hour time window, and the specific event timing for each region can be found in the “Compete” tab in-game. (Remember: Once a player participates in a region in any competitive event during Chapter 4 Season 3, they will be locked to that region for any subsequent session for that event, and all sessions for future events in the Season.) Scoring will follow the format below:

• The weapon will deal +30% bonus damage to targets above 85% Health.

Bug Fixes

A number of Save the World bug fixes were included in the Fortnite v25.30 update, including:

• Fixed an issue with the Storm Shield console that prevented players from seeing the user interface and menu on PC and Console.
• Fixed an issue with the Back button and ESC buttons would not function properly in some menus like Batch Recycling.

Augment Your Pistol Game

Timely for the Mammoth Pistol’s unleashing, v25.20 brings the Pistol Recycle Reality Augment! Activate this new Reality Augment and your Pistol shots will have a chance to cost 0 ammo.

Save your ammo!

Alongside Pistol Recycle, the Desperate Reload Reality Augment has been unvaulted! With this Reality Augment, your Pistols will reload faster when reloaded with an empty clip.

More Hope with a Scope

In addition to the Pistol-related Reality Augments, Scoped Salvo makes its debut in v25.20! Activate Scoped Salvo for your scoped weapons to have increased damage (but a decreased fire rate).

Lever Action Shotgun Unvaulted

Turn the battle back to your direction with the Lever Action Shotgun! This unvaulted weapon can be found from the ground, regular and Rare Chests, Holo-Chests, a flying drone, or claiming a POI.



To accommodate the return of the Lever Action Shotgun, the Maven Auto Shotgun is now currently only obtainable from Characters.

Bug Fixes

A number of Save the World bug fixes were included in the Fortnite v25.20 update, including:

• Fixed an issue that prevented Husks from attacking the objective if a certain structure was built around the objective.
• Fixed an issue that defaulted players to the Plankerton zone in the Map tab despite current story progression.
• Fixed an issue that caused several Hero rows to be invisible.
• Fixed an issue with the Utility Belt perk that prevented the cooldown reduction from being applied correctly to the Smoke Bomb ability.
• Fixed an issue that caused duplicate voice over audio to play during Eliminate quests.
• Optimized the performance of the Anti-Air Trap.

Slap Splashes can be picked up from a variety of sources: the ground, Chests, coolers, Holo-Chests, claiming POIs, and shooting down flying drones. Once you have one in-hand, throw it down to splash Slap Juice for you and your teammates! The Slap Juice will restore your and your teammates’ Effective Health, plus give you and your teammates short-term unlimited Energy regen in case you need to sprint from menacing foes in the Wilds.

Exotic Slap Splash

Want Slap Splash with even more kick? Exotic Slap Splashes can be found from Exotic Holo-Chests and Loot Llamas, and will grant more Effective Health and a longer temporary Energy regen than regular Slap Splashes. (To accommodate the entry of the Exotic Slap Splash, the Chug Cannon has been vaulted.)

The jungle is full of many hidden dangers. Luckily the v25.11 June 29 hotfix introduces a weapon capable of taking down prey at a distance: the Sharp Tooth Shotgun!

Paleontologists Prefer the Sharp Tooth Shotgun

With a more extended range and smaller spread than the standard Pump Shotgun, the Sharp Tooth Shotgun is the perfect weapon for stalking your sneakiest foes. You’ll become an unstoppable Mesozoic machine with this in your arsenal, especially while riding atop one of the wild raptors roaming around Rumble Ruins and Creeky Compound. Claim your spot as leader of the jungle!

So where can you load up on prehistoric heat? This Pump Shotgun can be found from many sources: the ground, regular and Rare Chests, Holo-Chests, fishing spots, claiming a POI, or by shooting down flying drones.

Kinetic Boomerang Vault

With the release of the v25.11 June 29 hotfix, the Kinetic Boomerang has been vaulted.

Fortnite v25.11 has released, which means Fortnite’s summer celebration kicks off July 4, 2023, at 9 AM ET 🌴 But before this party begins, shoot some explosive rounds with the Explosive Repeater Rifle! Also, no party’s needed to augment your reality: activate two new Reality Augments with the release of v25.11.

Fire and Repeat: Explosive Repeater Rifle

Live now, the Explosive Repeater Rifle fires rounds that trigger a small explosion on impact 💥 Because of this explosive effect, you don’t have to directly hit your target to deal some damage. Suspect an enemy’s in a bush? After enough attempts at your target, the bush itself can be destroyed by the explosive damage, leaving your opponent out in the open!

To accommodate the entry of the Explosive Repeater Rifle, the Heavy Sniper Rifle has been vaulted. You can find the Explosive Repeater Rifle from the ground, regular and Rare Chests, Holo-Chests, and for sale for Bars from Nia.

New Reality Augments, Heavy Benefits

v25.11 introduces two new Reality Augments fitting for the heavy ammo-using Explosiver Repeater Rifle:

Heavy Headshots

Your weapons using heavy ammo will have increased headshot damage.

Heavy Ammo Acquired

Instantly gain heavy ammo, then gain more when you open containers.

Competitive Notes

• Wildguard Relik, Wildguard Relik’s Cloak Gauntlets, and Relik’s MK-Alpha Assault Rifle from v25.10 are now included in tournaments.

Major Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue preventing Victory Crowns from appearing in players’ inventories (which also prevented Victory Crowns from being dropped from players’ inventories).

If the Wilds and mud weren’t camouflage enough, how about reflective Kinetic Ore? In Fortnite Battle Royale v25.10, activate the new Cloak Gauntlets to become practically invisible! Looking to find nearby enemies? Use the unvaulted Flare Gun to torch your opponents’ structures. Plus, show off new looks with Chapter 4 Season 3’s Super Level Styles!

You “Kinet” See Me

Embrace stealth by equipping Cloak Gauntlets, made with reflective Kinetic Ore. Cloak Gauntlets allow you to blend near-seamlessly with your surroundings, and can be obtained from the ground and Chests. You’ll be covered in Kinetic Ore for a limited time before the gauntlets enter a cooldown, but because the gauntlets possess unlimited charges, you can cloak yourself again and again!



Though you're unable to attack while using Cloak Gauntlets to cover yourself, you can end your cover early by unequipping the gauntlets or swapping to another item in your inventory.

Wildguard Relik’s Cloak Gauntlets

Wildguard Relik has emerged in the jungle. Defeat this boss and Wildguard Relik’s Cloak Gauntlets will be yours for the taking! With this Mythic version of the gauntlets, you’ll be able to cover yourself in reflective Kinetic Ore longer, with a shorter cooldown.

Relik’s MK-Alpha Assault Rifle

The MK-Alpha Assault Rifle — a fully automatic assault rifle with an attached red-dot sight — debuted last week. And now a Mythic version is on the Island: upon defeat, not only will Wildguard Relik drop his Cloak Gauntlets, but he’ll also drop Relik’s MK-Alpha Assault Rifle! Pick up this Mythic weapon to pack a whole lot of power.

Make the Heat of Battle Hotter

As if the jungle climate wasn’t already hot, the Flare Gun has been unvaulted! Use the Flare Gun to start a spreading fire on enemies’ structures. Don't wanna face the heat of somebody else's Flare Gun? Cover yourself in mud to avoid being marked!



You can find Flare Guns from the ground as well as Chests.

Shockwave Grenades in Zero Build

Shockwave Grenades have been unvaulted in Zero Build, findable from the ground and Chests.

Reality: Augmented and Wilder

Two new Reality Augments make their debut in v25.10! Augment your reality with:

Mud Warrior

While in mud or covered in it, you’ll regenerate Health and Shield.

SMG Extended Mag

Your SMGs will have increased magazine size.

Also, the Tracker’s Armory Reality Augment is unvaulted. Activate this Reality Augment to get a Flare Gun instantly (and of course a Shadow Tracker!).

Note: This Season, as new Reality Augments debut and previous ones are unvaulted, they will be immediately unlocked.

Miscellaneous Updates

• Chickens and Sky Jellies have been vaulted.

• The population of wolves and that of boars have been reduced.

• The frequency of fishing spots has been reduced.

Rank Reset

As announced previously in our recent Ranked blog post, we have reset everyone’s ranks for Battle Royale and Zero Build in v25.10 as part of Ranked Season Zero. This is a planned test of resetting ranks before the launch of Chapter 4 Season 4 Ranked.

Your Ranked Urgent Quest completion in Season Zero has not been reset. However, the appearance of your Burn Bright Emote may be updated to reflect your new Battle Royale or Zero Build rank. Your ranks at the time of the reset helped determine your v25.10 ranks, just as would happen in a turnover between Ranked Seasons.

Chapter 4 Season 3 Super Level Styles

Look stylish, look scorchin’. In the Bonus Rewards section of the Battle Pass tab, bonus Styles for Battle Royale Chapter 4 Season 3 Battle Pass rewards have been available for players who progress past Level 100. With v25.10, Chapter 4 Season 3’s Super Level Styles have been added as bonus rewards!

The Super Level Styles this Season? Progress past Level 125 during Chapter 4 Season 3 and start unlocking the Wildscorch, Confetti Claw, and Regal Hunter Styles for the Mariposa, Rian, Lorenzo, Relik, and Trace Outfits.

Please note that Wildguard Relik, Wildguard Relik’s Cloak Gauntlets, and Relik’s MK-Alpha Assault Rifle are currently not included in tournaments.
