Challenge Week 3 - Low Gravity (May 17 - May 24)

The magnetic field has shifted, rendering hoverboards inoperable and changing the effects of gravity! Jump higher and move faster as your melee attacks knock back the hordes of Husks.

Challenge Week 4 - Slow Burn (May 24 - May 31)

Feel the burn as Husks drop an acid pool after being eliminated. Beware of the Husks slowing attacks,making avoiding the acid pools a bit tricky!

Challenge Week 5 - Floor is Lava (May 31 - May June 7)

The volcano has become active! Staying in contact with the ground for too long will cause a damaging lava eruption around you. Keep on the move or take refuge at an elevated position to avoid these deadly eruptions!

Flight of the Fennix Returns! (May 31 - Jun 21)

Fennix returns to Save the World. Complete the questline and earn Fennix! Their perk, Debilitating Bite, applies Damage Vulnerability to every enemy your tamed wildlife hits. When Fennix is your Commander, those enemies explode when hit or eliminated, damaging nearby foes. Work with your pack to take out key targets!

The Bundlebuss is a surprisingly accurate multi-barreled rifle that fires in powerful bursts. A high damage and large magazine help compensate for a slow fire rate and heavy kick.

Freebooter Ken - May 31 at 8 PM ET

• Standard Perk: Sea Fog
  • Smoke Bomb restores your Shields to full.
• Commander Perk: Sea Fog+
  • Smoke Bomb restores your Shields to full and freezes your enemies for 5.5 seconds on activation.

Bug Fixes

A number of Save the World bug fixes were included in the Fortnite v24.40 update, including:

• Fixed an issue where Smashers could damage the objective in Survive the Horde.
• Fixed an issue that caused players to lose the ability to build and edit if two players attempted to edit the same structure.
• Fixed an issue with D.E.C.O.Y. where the timer would run out but did not explode or perform any post-destruction Perks.
• Fixed an issue where Wooden Floor Spikes would not slow enemies.
• Survive the Horde Banners now appear under the “Special” tab instead of the “Battle Royale” tab.

Use the Force abilities they teach you to show your opponents the power of the Force.

Complete Find the Force Quests to unlock cosmetic and level up rewards in the free reward track for Find the Force, including the Clone Trooper Outfit. Want even more rewards for your Jedi acts and Sith deeds? Purchase the Premium Reward Track upgrade for an extra layer of rewards, including the Darth Maul Outfit. May the Force Be With You

Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Darth Maul await you on the Island in hologram form during Find the Force. If you accept their offer to train you, you’ll jump into a rift… then return wielding a lightsaber and new Force abilities. These Force abilities can be used while wielding your lightsaber, which’ll remain in your inventory until you drop it, get eliminated, or the match ends.

Use the Force to Sprint Faster and Double Jump

Force training will give you the ability to sprint faster and double jump while your lightsaber is equipped, regardless of which trainer you chose.

Use the Force to Push

Accept Obi-Wan Kenobi’s Jedi training and learn to use the Force to push objects and players away.

Use the Force to Pull

If you accept Anakin Skywalker’s Jedi training, you’ll learn to use the Force to pull objects and players towards you.

Use the Force to Throw

Seeking Sith training instead? Upon accepting Darth Maul’s training, you’ll learn to use the Force to lift objects from the environment and hurl them at players.

The Lightsabers

Additionally, the lightsaber you get from Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, or Darth Maul can be used as a melee weapon! From Obi-Wan Kenobi you’ll receive a green Jedi Padawan Lightsaber, and from Anakin Skywalker you’ll receive a blue one. From Darth Maul you’ll receive a red Sith Apprentice Lightsaber.

DC-15 Blasters

There are no weapons on the Island more fitting for the Clone Trooper Outfit than the DC-15 Blaster. Obtainable from Republic Chests, this Assault Rifle has high accuracy and excels at medium-to-long range combat.

Find the Force Quests

Complete Find the Force Quests to earn Galactic Reputation. You can complete them by doing things to enhance your Jedi or Sith skills, like getting trained by Jedi or Sith trainers, dealing damage with lightsabers, and searching Republic Chests. Completing Find the Force Quests will increase your Galactic Reputation, and the more Galactic Reputation you get, the more rewards you’ll unlock!

Navigate to the Galactic Reputation tab in the Lobby to keep track of your Galactic Reputation and remaining rewards.

When clicking this tab, you’ll notice the free reward track and the Premium Reward Track upgrade which is unlockable for a fee. The free reward track contains 11 unlockable rewards, including the Clone Trooper Outfit as the final reward.

If you purchase the Premium Reward Track upgrade, you’ll unlock extra rewards as you unlock rewards in the free reward track (without having to complete additional Quests). The Premium Reward Track upgrade can be purchased for 1,000 V-Bucks and contains 11 unlockable rewards, including the Darth Maul Outfit as the final reward.

This track upgrade also contains the unlockable Wolf Pack Trooper Outfit and Ahsoka's Clone Trooper Outfit. Upon purchasing the Premium Reward Track upgrade, you’ll automatically receive the Coruscant Guard Outfit.

The “Find the Force” Quest Trilogy

Just as Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith are a trilogy, so are the Find the Force Quests. The Find the Force Quests are separated into three main sets with certain Quests associated with each one. If you complete twelve Quests in a set, you’ll earn a Sith Holocron. Earn three Sith Holocrons to unlock the Sith Infiltrator Glider!



Each set of Find the Force Quests will go live sequentially and be available until May 23 at 9 AM ET:

• “The Force Within” Quests are live starting now.

• “Begun the Clone Wars Have” Quests go live May 7 at 9 AM ET.

• “Fall of the Republic” Quests go live May 12 at 9 AM ET.

There’s an epilogue to this Quest trilogy! Still need to earn Galactic Reputation for unlocking Find the Force rewards? “The First Galactic Empire” Quests — which go live May 17 at 9 AM ET — will help!

Please note that the Find the Force free reward track items, Premium Reward Track upgrade items, and Sith Infiltrator Glider are not exclusive to Find the Force, and they may become purchasable in the Item Shop at a later date.

Discord Reward: Coruscant's Pride Wrap

Starting May 4 at 11 AM ET, unlock the Coruscant's Pride Wrap Discord reward by doing one of two things:

1. For 15 minutes or more, “Go Live and Screen Share” Fortnite on Discord to at least one Discord friend. (Learn how to Go Live and Screen Share on Discord.)

   - After 15 minutes, you’ll receive a link through your Discord account. Click the link to be taken to a page where you can log into your Epic Games account. The Wrap will then be added to your Fortnite Locker!
   
   - While Going Live and Screen Sharing Fortnite, remember to keep in mind the Epic Games Fan Content Policy and Epic Games Community Rules.

2. Complete the Find the Force Discord Quest. Start by entering the specified channel in an official Fortnite Discord server. (See the list of participating Fortnite Discord servers below.) In the channel, you’ll see a bot you can interact with to join the Discord Quest.

   - Upon interacting with the bot, you’ll be taken to a page where you can link your Epic and Discord accounts. With your accounts linked, participate in the Quest by completing a task inside Discord and a task inside Fortnite. After both of these tasks are complete, the Wrap will be added to your Fortnite Locker!

Please note that the Coruscant’s Pride Wrap is not exclusive to Find the Force, and may become purchasable in the Item Shop at a later date. Players under the age of 13 are not able to access Discord and are therefore ineligible to earn this Wrap.

v24.30 introduces four new Reality Augments:

Tracker's Armory

Grants a Flare Gun and Shadow Tracker Pistol.

Desperate Reload

Your Pistols will reload faster when reloaded with an empty clip.

Steady Hands

Your Marksman Rifles will have reduced recoil.

SMG Sign Off

The last three bullets of your SMG magazines will deal bonus damage.

Along with these new Reality Augments, four make their return: First Assault, Bush Warrior, Forecast, and Mythic Munition!

Auto Confirm Edits

In v24.30, an Auto Confirm Edits setting has been added to Fortnite's "Game" settings and replaced “Confirm Edit on Release.” With this new setting toggled to “Both,” you'll be able to confirm edits and reset edits automatically as opposed to manually confirming edit selections.

Mobile Improvements

New Weapon settings for touch enable mobile players to do more with fewer fingers or button presses:

• Combined ADS + Fire: The main Fire + Look button will also aim down sights. Firing begins once the transition into ADS is complete. Other fire buttons will still work as normal.

• Release to Fire: When using scoped semi-automatic or single shot weapons, the main Fire + Look button will fire when released instead of when pressed. This means players can aim down their scope, line up their shot, and fire their weapon all with one button press. Other fire buttons will still work as normal.

• Continuous Fire: Semi-automatic weapons will fire repeatedly while any fire button is held.

Balance Changes

In case you missed it, we’ve recently made the following balance changes:

• Storm Circles 6 and 7 now move further into the Storm as the safe zone shrinks. Storm Circles 8 and 9 now begin moving earlier and travel further. Storm Circle 12 takes longer to close.

• We've vaulted the Game Time Reality Augment and reduced the probability of Chug Splash loot.

  • We will continue to monitor the impact of healing items and matches that end in "heal-offs."

Competitive Notes

• Force abilities, Jedi Padawan and Sith Apprentice Lightsabers, and DC-15 Blasters are currently not included in Arena or tournaments. We’re investigating possibly including these abilities and items in Arena and tournaments after FNCS Major 2 concludes.

Major Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue where large rocks on the Island were not providing as many materials as intended when harvested.

• Fixed an issue where using ODM Gear would sometimes cause a player to fly even if no longer using the item.

• Back Blings no longer appear detached on the Highwire Outfit.

• Fixed an issue where the Starter Island timer did not go down properly.

• Fixed an issue that caused a long load time to occur when entering a match with the DirectX 12 rendering mode enabled.

• Trunks and tree branches no longer appear to move erratically when playing Fortnite on mobile or PC Performance Mode.

• The majorest bug fix: the Infinite Dab Emote wasn't looping for 15 hours when performed in the Lobby. This is fixed and it now loops for 16 hours.

Battle from Above: ODM Gear

Retrievable from the ground, Chests, and Scout Regiment Footlockers, put on Omni-Directional Mobility (ODM) Gear. Having this apparatus equipped will give you the ability to grapple in the air and strike opponents below! After attacking with the built-in blades, you’ll immediately boost back into the air so you can grapple elsewhere… or hover and execute another attack.

Fight Explosively: Thunder Spears

Also retrievable from the ground, Chests, and Scout Regiment Footlockers, Thunder Spears are arm-launched rockets designed to penetrate armored structures, detonating to damage enemies on both sides!

Bug Fixes

A number of bug fixes were included in the v24.20 game update, including:

• Fixed an issue with the Phase Shift Forward+ Commander Perk that prevented it from applying the 140% movement speed increase when used.
• Fixed an issue where players would receive a generic Network Connection Lost message when loading into a Save the World mission without it installed.
• Fixed an issue where the audio wouldn’t play during videos before and after the tutorial.
• Fixed an issue where console players could not see duplicate perks on Defenders.
• Fixed an issue where the Hoverboard could appear invisible when players mounted it.

Scurvy Shoals Venture Season Returns

Get ready for a high seas venture: the Scurvy Shoals Venture Season sails on from April 5 at 8 PM ET to June 21, 2023, at June 21 8 PM ET. In addition to the treasure-filled Pirate Llamas, here’s what to expect:

Bouncy Husks

Rock the boat with the Bouncy Husks modifier! With this modifier, Husks, Huskies, and Mist Monsters will all have increased Health, but to your fortune, they’ll all be more susceptible to knockbacks, especially from ranged and melee weapons. Send those Husks back into the Storm from whence they came!

Super Treasure

Loot like a real pirate. With the Super Treasure modifier, Treasure Chests filled with valuable loot will periodically drop from enemies you defeat. Rough sailing makes for strong Commanders: the tougher the enemy you defeat, the more likely a Treasure Chest will drop from it.

Dungeons Return Too!

Raging evil awaits — gear up and descend into the depths teeming with monsters and traps. What’s in it for you? There are weapons to collect and Heroes to recruit along the way! Dungeons are available for descent starting April 5 at 8 PM ET.

Completing the Lab Dungeon by the end of the season will unlock a Banner as well as the Chaos Agent Hero. Completing The Crypts Dungeon Quests, available until June 21, will unlock the Swamp Knight Hero. Completing The Grotto Dungeon Quests will unlock the Mermonster Ken Hero.

  • Whenever you use any ability, Quick Fingers reloads your equipped weapon (if it can be reloaded).

  • Whenever you use any ability, Quick Fingers+ reloads your equipped weapon (if it can be reloaded), and upon reloading you have a chance to summon a Phantasm based on how empty the clip was, with a cap of 80%.

The Swamp Knight

  • Increases damage vs. Mist Monsters by up to 42% based on the percentage of your missing Health.

A black flag has emerged in the horizon. That can only mean one thing: pirates are here and they are aiming right for Homebase! In Yarrr’s questline — available from April 5 at 8 PM ET to May 17 8 PM ET — fend off these invading swashbucklers and you will be rewarded with the infamous pirate Hero, Blakebeard the Blackhearted.

The Fortnite Creative v24.10 update includes the new Channel device, the Nitro Drifter vehicle, Spring chickens and consumable item eggs, the Egg Launcher weapon, new options in My Island, and bug fixes.

Channel Device

The Channel device is simple: it takes a signal and sends it forward. You can use this functionality to link one group of devices to another group of devices in a way that is similar to the old channel system. You can set up a Channel device to send events to many devices at once, then change the source of those events without using a lot of Trigger devices or having to change a lot of options in the connected devices.

Nitro Drifter

Get ready to drift! The Nitro Drifter vehicle is ready to use in your racing islands. This car seats four to encourage social play in many types of games.

Wildlife Spawner Update: New Spring Chickens

Green and purple chickens have been added to the Wildlife Spawner device! Like their Fortnite Battle Royale counterparts, these brightly colored chickens lay Heal Eggs and Hop Eggs. These eggs are consumables that players can keep in their inventory and use at any time.

• Fixed an issue where the value set for the Pinball Flipper's "Damage" option would reset to the default when an island was converted to use upgraded devices.

Island Fixes

• Battle Royale Island Plots can now make use of the Signal Remote Manager.
• Ice Boxes will now drop loot upon being searched in Battle Royale Island Plots.
• Keys will no longer drop when Items are disabled in Battle Royale Island Plots.
• Fixed an issue where creators other than the owner of an island could appear to make changes to the Debug menu.

Gameplay Fixes

• Fixed an issue where the “Debug” option in the Debug tab of My Island was difficult to select with a controller.
• Fixed an issue where the Kinetic Blade would not respect the “Allow Weapon Fire” option when the option was set to “No” on a Mutator Zone device.

Commanders, the Mild Meadows Venture Season is coming to an end on April 5, 2023, at 8 PM ET! Make sure you complete all your Mild Meadows Quests, including the Blockbuster questline, before the Season ends. After the Mild Meadows Season ends during v24.10, v24.10 will kick off the Scurvy Shoals Venture Season! We’ll provide more details on the Scurvy Shoals Venture Season on April 5 at 10 AM ET.

Last Chance to Compete the Blockbuster Questline

With Homebase still shaken to its core by a meteorite, Loki is in charge while Ray investigates. Help Loki lead the crew in the Blockbuster questline. The Blockbuster questline’s rewards are two Heroes:

• The Mythic Soldier Carbide, whose Standard Perk Zip and Zap applies affliction dealing 13 base energy damage per second for three seconds.
• The Mythic Ninja Cloaked Star, whose Standard Perk Fan of Stars makes you able to throw all your Throwing Stars together in an arc, and adds an additional Throwing Star.

The Blockbuster questline is available until the end of the Mild Meadows Venture Season (April 5 at 8 PM ET).

• Continued to make improvements on the issue involving the Third Rail weapon firing blank shots.

Wargames Week 8:Meltdown

Wargames’ Week 8 begins Thursday, March 15, 2023, at 8 PM ET. Your Storm Shield has gone critical and is emitting a growing radiation field. This radiation causes visibility issues and deals damage to players while in direct contact.

Wargames Week 9: Double Trouble

Week 9 of Wargames begins Thursday, March 22, 2023, at 8 PM ET. There are two indestructible Golden Smashers with cycling modifiers loose in your fort. If that doesn’t sound terrifying enough, their ill temperament switches between attacking Heroes and the fort.

Homebase Naming Update

In the v24.00 update, we’ve removed Homebase names. We're now consistently using your Epic display name across the game instead.

Battle Pass XP Update

In the v24.00 update we’ll be updating Battle Pass XP to the following:

• Quest XP has been reduced slightly.
• Mission XP (and the daily cap) have been increased.
  • Combined the XP rate will be similar.
• XP for Wargames Dailies was changed so that only the first daily quest you do rewards XP.
