Discovery Hotfix #2 - 7th June 2018

Greetings Captains,

Today we are releasing a balance pass to Discovery and the Home Base defenses. After listening to your feedback we have made adjustments to help prevent certain strategies from becoming the standard way to play. Please see the changes as follows:

Discovery Changes



  • Increased Core Health 50,000 -> 100,000
  • Increased Turret Health 20,000 -> 30,000
  • Increased Turret Aggro Range 16,000 -> 25,000
  • Increased Projectile Speed 4,000 -> 5,000
  • Turret Projectile Damage 300 -> 400
  • Increased Projectile Homing 5 deg/s -> 7 deg/s
  • Increased Projectile Lifespan 4 -> 6
  • Turret Projectile Tracking 3 degrees/s -> 5 degrees/s
  • Gamma Damage to Turrets 5,000 -> 10,000
  • Added ship blocking volumes around the Core to prevent Exploits

Bug Fixes



  • Fixed an issue where a random square was appearing in German Drafting.
  • Fixed an issue where the pack-open screen wasn't leveling up crew members and was instead replacing crew members leveling up with a crew XP card.
  • Fix for Forward Station capture getting stuck if Gamma 3 is taken while an enemy is re-capturing their forward station.
  • Fixed Endgame music not playing in Conquest Matches.
  • Fixed an issue where Crew isn't appearing in the hangar once the player has completed the Tutorial.
  • Fixed the "Low Rider" Aegis in the Last Stand Hangar.

Discovery Hotfix #1 - 5th June 2018


  • Fixed an issue where after submitting feedback the popup wouldn't hide.
  • Potentially fixed a timing issue in Drafting where images would not load before Drafting was ready.
  • Recovered 3v3 mode in the Experimental menu
  • Fix for the bug that was additively loading the Discovery Hangar if the Last Stand Hangar was the one currently selected.
  • Disabled OculusVR plugin since we are not using it, fixing potential audio issues for users with an Oculus system connected.

Discovery Update - 31st May 2018

New Episode - Discovery





A Zarek mining facility attached to a deep space ice field discovered something buried within the ice: a vast structure that predates mankind.

It became known as the Artefact.

News of its unique origin and the secrets it might unlock travelled fast. The other corporations began to take an interest. Competing ICSR teams were hired to seize control of the site.

Tensions were high even before the Artefact began to react to those around it.

Work with your team to defeat opposing ICSR teams as you compete to uncover the Artefact and defend your Home Base from attack. This is Conquest with a new Discovery.



Sectors

Battle over new sectors to capture the mining stations giving you and your team a resource advantage to use in the fight. With all new cover and structures to use to your advantage, it’s time to rethink your strategies in this new Conquest.



Home Base

Rather like Last Stand, you’ll be defending your Home Base against the enemy team rather than capturing it in our original Conquest mode. Push the enemy back with the help of the three defensive turrets protecting your Base Core. Once the turrets are down, your Core is open to attack!



Gamma

The Artefact. No one yet knows what it is, or what strange powers it might hold. Fight around the Zarek Mining Facility tasked with uncovering the Artefact, inside a giant Icesteroid. Line of sight is now more important than ever during these crucial Gamma battles to ensure a successful capture.

Successful captures of Gamma within Discovery behave quite differently to what you may be accustomed to. Each successful capture your team makes will deal 25% damage to the enemy Home Base turrets (Gamma Captures do not damage the Core), with Gamma III changing from a Jump Buff to now “flipping” the enemy Forward Stations, giving the enemy a bit more time to react and stop your Gamma advantage if they can successfully hold against your onslaught.

Discovery Episode Pack





Joining the Store in this update is the Discovery Episode Pack. A new way to unlock new rewards for playing the new Conquest: Discovery Scenario. This pack will only be available to purchase while Discovery is the featured Episode. If you would like more information about the Discovery Campaign Pack, please read this FAQ

On purchase you will receive:

  • Access to the Discovery Campaign
  • A Discovery Nameplate
  • A Discovery Badge

Unlock in the Challenges:

  • A new Discovery themed Hangar
  • 3x Crew Pods
  • Kraken skins for the Gladiator, Protector and Reaper
  • A new permanent Aurelian Energy Mod
  • A new permanent Mauvine Energy Mod

General Changes



  • Your ship icon on the Minimap and Jump Map is now white. This change was added to allow players to tell the difference on the Minimap between themselves and their squad mates that they queued with. Squad mates are now yellow, and other allies are still blue.
  • The skills bar of other players is now visible while spectating.
  • Reduced the Wave requirement in Last Stand to earn a Swarm skin from reach Wave 13 to reach Wave 9.
  • There is now a dedicated button on the Hangar page to allow players to change their selected hangar.
  • Ships in drafting are now sorted by their role type, instead of Manufacturer.
  • The Ally Status Widget will now reorder according to who is in the same sector as you, who is not in the same sector and who is dead. There’s also been an improvement to the highlighting of nearby allies.
  • The sub pages inside the player profile are now listed alphabetically.
  • The “Profile” button on the hangar page has been moved, it is now accessible by clicking on you Profile picture in the upper right. In its old position is now a direct link to your Campaign page.
  • FX Mods have been renamed to Energy Mods, and the color names have been updated. Red FX Mods are now Vermillion Energy Mods. Green FX Mods are now Viridian Energy Mods.

Last Stand

  • Added a jump prompt and Voice Over if player is below level 11 and doesn't jump out of home base or warp area after respawning in a certain time.
  • Made intro and outro cinematic sequences skippable.

Balance Changes



Unlike previous updates, this release does not contain any balance changes to the Player Ships or game mechanics of original Conquest. The next batch of balance passes will be part of their own patch arriving in the next few weeks. We intend to follow this process for the foreseeable future.

Last Stand

Wave 10, Endeavor boss:

  • Max health reduced from 10000 to 7500.
  • Reduced cooldown on turret deployment from -25% to -10%.
  • Reduced number of frigates accompanying it from 6 to 4.
  • Added 3s to time between subwaves

Wave 11

  • All ships in the second subwave are now accompanied by 2 frigates each instead of 3.
  • Added 2s to time between subwaves

Wave 12 (Furion/Enforcer variant)

  • Replaced one of the Furions with an Enforcer
  • Added 3s to time between subwaves

Known Issues


-Searching for Last Stand will show it as Conquest in drafting
-If you go into the Sector Preview while drafting it will show you the Frontline map.

Double Credits Weekend - Starts 6pm UTC

Client Hotfix - 9th May 2018

Greetings Captains,

We have just pushed a small client hotfix for Fractured Space. This will require no server downtime, but you will be asked to update when you next launch Fractured Space.

This hotfix will remove the imposed group size limits previously found in Co-op games that were preventing matches being found. Thank you for reporting this issue to us so we were able to rectifiy this.

Last Stand Hotfix #5 - 3rd May 2018

Last Stand



  • Increased the health of the base turrets in Last Stand by 25 percent.
  • Added percentage health text to Base and Turret bars
  • Changed how showFrigateHealth HUD Tag option works. The option now affects untargeted frigates only. Targeting a frigate will always display the health.
  • The Interceptor's Targeting Inhibitor should no longer affect enemies targeting objectives in Last Stand
  • Adding in Base Alarm warning as Core is damaged
  • Hooking up Music in Last Stand
  • Reduced the cooldown buff the Endeavor boss ships receive in Last Stand (this should limit their ability to spam turrets).
  • Delayed some LS VO triggers so they're easier to hear (not falling on top of wave complete stings / ship explosions). Increased volume of Base alarms
  • Campaign Hangar: - if the campaign hangar is purchased, it will be activated as soon as the reward is claimed
  • Fixed an issue where important sounds e.g. player's own weapons would seem to disappear into the noise, particularly noticeable in the LS Base sector.
  • Adjusted turret balance - homing from 2 to 3 degrees per second. Damage from 350 to 500
  • Changed Matchmaking Rules for Last Stand so that players below rank 10 and above rank 10 won't ever match.
  • The waves sometimes got stuck. Now checking to see if a bot doesn't jump out of its spawn area, and if not it'll get destroyed so game can continue.


Ship Changes



  • Fixed magazine refire intervals (e.g. Paladin's Heal Balista and Superlifter's Heal Buoys) not scaling with ability/utility cooldown modifiers when the subsystem is marked as an Ability rather than a Weapon. As a result of this change those abilities will scale with ability cooldown instead of refire rate.


General Bug Fixes



  • Options Page: - Fix for the bug that highlights the string No Key Assigned' when the cancel button is pressed;
  • Fix for Detected status effect sound not being cleared when the status effect ends
  • Fix for that bug was causing the explosion animation camera to continue following the mouse movement when radial chat is in use
  • Fixed campaigns to no longer show the alternate item on the completed campaign
  • Fix for Last Stand hints showing in Conquest when pressing O
  • Fix for comparison on breakdown screen not responding when clicking left arrow.
  • Made sure that the searching loop can't get stuck when transitioning from lobby to game
  • Fixed an issue where the savings title would clip with the name of a bundle in the store popup
  • Adjusted position of Completed banner on campaign missions for German
  • Fixed an issue where longer names in the details panel on the right of the Hangar would overlap with the compare arrow
  • Fixed an issue where a tooltip would sit behind the feedback form
  • Editing Launcher file to display Deutsch instead of German
  • Changed "Please complete the flow before accepting a game invite" to ""Earn your Starter Crew first: Play one more game before you can accept game invites".

Last Stand Hotfix #4 - 27th April


  • Fix ability icons not correctly displaying on certain ships.
  • Removing overlapping chat text with system messages in the chat box.
  • Fixed Last Stand Sectors names not appearing on the minimap and Tab map.
  • Moving Minimap down slightly to allow German sector names to appear correctly on screen.


Clarification on recent UI changes:

Players from before the recent changes may be accustomed to how the UI was displayed. Due to some late German localization and technical issues arising because of this, it was necessary to adjust the following.

-Chat is remaining in the bottom left.
-The Armor Widget has been moved to the bottom right.
-The Minimap has been moved to the top right.

We understand the changes may be disorientating but we will be exploring more options for the future.

Hot Fix - 26th April 2018

Greetings Captains,

We have released a small Hot fix to address the following:


  • Moved the chat to be in the bottom left, the armour status widget to be in the bottom right, and the minimap to be in the top right.
  • Changed text "average wait time" to "average game time" in PvP Lobbies.
  • The hangar will be automatically applied on mission completed. This only applies if the user owns the Last Stand Campaign before unlocking the new Hangar


We are continuing to look through your feedback and will be making more changes and adjustments as the weeks go on.

Last Stand Hotfix #2 - 25th April


  • German is now available for selection in the launcher. The language options are available in the main launcher page, first time setup or settings page.
  • Added a fix for a bug that was causing the explosion animation camera to continue following the mouse movement when radial chat was used.
  • The Premium Campaign now appears as completed on Hangar and Lobby view when it has been completed.
  • Infiltrators Ion blast now correctly damages misc objects such as turrets, frigates and buoys.
  • Fix for the Last Stand intro video not always playing properly once joining a server and dismissing the loading screen.
  • The Jumping server messages have been shortened.
  • Fixed an issue where the Destroyer in the tutorial would have jerky movement after the video cutscene if the video is skipped.
  • Moving the entire Chat UI to the right hand side of the screen due to German localization.
  • Temporarily defaulting to the short (first time) tutorial for all players, even if replaying tutorial due to a crash bug.


EDIT: The Protector change previously mentioned did not correctly apply.
EDIT #2: Due to an error with our Patch Note Tool, some changes were included which are not live yet, apologies.

Last Stand Hotfix #1 - 20th April


  • Players will now get the Last Stand Hangar in their UI without the need to restart.
  • Fixing issue where the crew tutorial video wouldn't play for some players.
  • Added new Crew to the Completionist tab in the Barracks.
  • Added a workaround fix for a Persecutor wave getting stuck in allied warp space on Wave 10.
