  • Physics : Reworked ball-net collision physics, and adjusted bounce physics.
  • Gameplay : Disabled 'clear net' auto-correction on dropshots and double tap slices, as it was wrongly enabled for those shots, which allowed easily reaching targets very close to the net.
  • Controls : Fixed issue that prevented use of numeric pad for keyboard controls.
  • Visuals : Fixed racket/hand shift on intermediate interpolations.
  • Visuals : Stamina bar, serve bar and timing orb's movement smoothness on-screen now benefits from over-50 Hz monitor.
  • Online : There is an issue where separate lobbies can be created simultaneously when several players launch the game at roughly the same time. They now should quickly merge when that happens (in a matter of seconds).

Version 1.14.0 : Gameplay, character movement, animations

  • Visuals : Many fixes/improvements on overall character movement, transition to and from shots.
  • Rendering : Graphics engine's DirectX mode now uses DirectX 11. This should improve compatibility and performance on all computers, and opens up new graphical possibilities in the future.
  • Physics : Refined ball-net collision physics.
  • Gameplay : Tuned character speed, ability to change directions and overall rally rhythm.
  • Gameplay : Changes and improvements for on-screen objects (timing orb & serve gauge)
  • Gameplay : Tuned double tap power so it is easier to get intermediate values as well as fill it completely.
  • Gameplay : Added colour-blind mode.
  • Interface : Changed SETTINGS > CONTROLS menu and controller selection for more clarity.
  • Replay : Added replay after a challenge if the point was a winner.
  • Anim modding menu : Fix an issue in FBX Export that messed up "deplacement" and added sliding. Unfortunately the animations that were corrupted as a result of this can't be detected automatically and will have to be fixed by hand. Any FBX exported with an earlier version of the game shall be used with great care.
  • Anim modding menu : Added log control displaying duplicated animations with same Unique ID.
  • Anim modding menu : Allowed viewing modded animations and editing their flags when FBX source isn't available.
  • Anim modding menu : Disabled editing one hand/both hands flags for serve animations and when FBX source isn't available.
  • Editor display : Fixed animations display adding artificial sliding when shown in 3D view.
  • Bug fix : Fixed some issues when hitting the shot button very early with automatic preparation enabled.
  • Bug fix : Depth hint sometimes blinked when ball was bouncing near the net.
  • Bug fix : Many many bug and crash fixes.

Version 1.13.0 : Major modding changes


  • Major modding changes : These changes open up a lot of new possibilities for modders. Installed modding data will be automatically converted, when launching Full Ace and accessing editor or any game mode. Documentation about modding is now available at https://fullacetennis.blogspot.com/.
  • Gameplay : Removed power penalty on dropshots and lobs.
  • File safety : Every time you save in the editor, the previous version of data.fas will be backed-up as data.fas.bak.
  • File safety : Every time you save a game, the previous version of saveXXXX.fas will be backed-up as saveXXXX.fas.bak.
  • Bug fix : Fixed crash at the beginning of a challenge animation if the game was paused just before.

  • Gameplay : Modified gameplay for a better balance of penalties for hitting a shot in bad conditions (while running, preparing late, too low, too high, bad timing...).
  • AI : Modified AI behavior according to gameplay changes and increased difficulty level for maximum settings.

Version 1.11.0 : Achievements added

  • Feature : Added achievements. Progress for online stats, TUTORIAL and CHALLENGE mode were already being tracked, so achievements linked to those will be immediately awarded when launching the new version. Others will have to be built from scratch.
  • Gameplay : Challenge animation is now faster and focuses better on certain ball impacts. It is now possible to challenge balls that are further away from the lines than before.
  • Gameplay : Small change in stamina system because characters with low stamina weren't able to reach their max speed when trying to recover a dropshot.
  • Gameplay : Fixed unnatural spin on very short lobs.
  • Gameplay : Prevented automatic replay when the point ending on the ball touching the net.
  • Interface : The last player used in PRACTICE mode is now saved.

  • New texture name convention to notify the game that a texture should be used as is, instead of using color edition, using suffix _NCE (for No Color Edit).
  • New logo system that allows creating more logos and mixing them with any top or bottom clothes.
  • New racket assets : racket is now textured for easier modding (an example is provided with 'raquette_10_NCE.png').
  • For easier texture modding, right-clicking in the editor's 3d view now reloads textures.
  • Changed EXHIBITION menu for online games so that chat isn't blocked after you choose BEGIN GAME, and can be cancelled as long as your opponent hasn't done the same.
  • Fixed some tricky online synchronization issues, which should improve online experience when it comes to lag.
  • Fixed online sync issues after one of the players opens SETTINGS menu.
  • Fixed a difference of 0.4 millimeters on each side of the serve line between how it was displayed, and umpire/challenge calls, so that the ball would be called out when it should have been in.
  • Fixed audio desync issues in replays saved during online games
  • Fixed crash when using "save replay" button while viewing a previously saved replay.
  • Fixed motion blur sometimes not displaying properly when exporting replay to video.
  • Fixed some options being wrongly modifiable by client player in EXHIBITION menu when playing online.
  • Fixed display of electronic challenges so that court lines are perfectly horizontal and vertical when showing IN/OUT.
  • Fixed bug that caused crashes and file corruptions when some modded PNG images didn't have a full 256 color table.
