Update 28, December 1: Increased Play Field, 16:9 Aspect Ratio, and Level Changes

Changes:
<*>Reenabled 16:9 Aspect Ratios and adjusted UI to fit.
<*>Expanded the playable area.
<*>Increased difficulty on levels 1-5.
<*>Made it so that DuoBoss's tail shoots a triple bullet when the blue head is gone.
<*>Adjusted spawn rates on Level 6 (Shipwreck) to make the part before the boat appears more intense.
<*>Adjusted positioning of several UI elements.
<*>Bug Fix: Addressed an issue where the new songs would cause lag on level transitions.
<*>Bug Fix: Fixed the bug with shields not applying when picked up as “Level Complete” appears.
<*>Bug Fix: Fixed a bug where the eyes on the third boss were disappearing.

<*>Addendum: We are currently testing out some different UI looks and layouts. For the moment, we have removed the blocky backgrounds from behind the text on the title screen.

Update 27, November 30: Sound Track Update and Control Adjustments

Changes:
<*>Changed the music on a number of levels in response to player feedback. These new songs have been added to the Soundtrack DLC. The old songs are still included in the DLC as "Bonus" tracks at the end of the album.
<*>More adjustments to player ship inertia.
<*>Bug Fix: Fixed an issue where using the keyboard for UI input would sometimes skip over menu options.

Update 26, November 25: Control Tightening & UI Adjustments

Changes:

<*>In response to player feedback, we've turned down the "floatiness" of the player ship movement to tighten up the player's controls and emphasize the bullet-dodging slow motion mechanics of the game.
<*>Updated controls screen to reflect the hold-to-fire change and added a message to the screen that the game was designed with gamepad in mind and that it is recommended input method.
<*>Adjusted UI responsiveness.
<*>Adjusted position of the "Back" option on the Volume Control Slider.
<*>Added solid black backgrounds behind the Pause and Options UI menus.

Update 26 Coming

2 updates coming today.
One to the game itself, which should be active in a few hours.
The other will be to the soundtrack, which will go live later this evening.
In regards to the soundtrack, we will be switching out some of the tracks but the ones we replace will stay on the OST as Bonus Tracks.

Galagan's Island NEEDS YOUR HELP!!

So....we have recently added some new content to the game.
After Boss Battles, the players have the choice to go into the pilots ship and play a mini game on his personal game console.
For this sequence, we are adding monologue, where the pilot will communicate with the players of Galagan's Island.
This, is where we want your help...not help really...but your participation.
We want you to tell us what you'd like him to say.
I wrote a bunch of lines for this sequence, but after a lot of consideration, I thought this would be a much more fun way to interact with all of you....and give you the opportunity to contribute to the game as well.
We are adding dialogue when the player enters the ship until the game console turns on.
We want the pilot to have words with the players directly.
We are looking for funny things he can say to all of you that have been controlling him.
We do need to keep this at least PG-13 rated.
BTW...the console in his ship is called a SpaceStation.
Oh....and the best lines that we choose to put in the game....well....there will be prizes.
So help us interact with all of you...and help our pilot do the same.

Update 25, November 18: Mini Game Added

Changes:
<*>We have added our first minigame, allowing our pilot to pause the action and play games inside of his ship. Access these minigames by picking up the game pad emblem after beating a boss. This first mini-game is The Tower of Elements.
<*>Increased baseline player ship movement and firing speed.
<*>Adjusted formula for music fading between levels.
<*>Changed the enemy sprite used for the boss entrance animations.
<*>Added brain enemies to fifth boss level.
<*>Swapped out music on Hive/Hornet boss. This changes is in our soundtrack DLC as well.
<*>Adjusted the rate at which music fades out at the end of levels.
<*>Music now fades in at the start of levels.
<*>Adjusted rate of fire for Red and Blue enemies.
<*>Made it so that Blue enemies can't fire while chasing the player.
<*>Bug Fix: Removed audio "popping" at the start of the game if BGM settings are low.
<*>Bug Fix: Fixed a graphical glitch with the P2 ammo meter.
<*>Bug Fix: Moved spawn points on Level 19 that were in the wrong place.
<*>Bug Fix: Removed black box from behind the right hand smiley face UI

November 16: Boss Entrances Animations and Music Fading

Changes:
<*>Bosses have new entrance animations.
<*>Music now fades out at the end of each level.
<*>More enemy spawn balancing.

November 14: Increased Play Field

Changes
<*>The amount of playable space the ship can move around in has been increased. UI positioning and enemy formations and spawn points have been adjusted to fit.
<*>Decreased the amount of "hang time" before dropping when the ship stops moving.
<*>Bug Fix: The Red enemy bombs no longer destroy the Red enemy bullets.
<*>Bug Fix: Fixed an issue with the "Ammo" UI meter extending out of bounds.
