ACHIEVEMENTS!!!! READ THIS!!!
Ok. So we are having a couple bugs with achievements in Galagan's Island that we need to address....many of them are working just fine, but a few of them are being awarded without actually earning them. So this is a notice to the players...we are fixing this issue, however once we are done with that, THE ACHIEVEMENTS WILL BE RESET!! Which does mean that if you unlocked some of them, you will need to do so again. I realize this will piss off a few of you....however, we are in Early Access for a reason...to allow you to play our game and help us find some of these issues, allowing us to fix them for you...not to mention most of you didn't buy the game anyway, so don't look a gift horse in the mouth. We are working on this right now and will have them fixed as soon as possible. As soon as they are 100% operational and working correctly, we will make another announcement in regards to resetting them.
I will let you also know now that additional achievements will be added when we introduce new levels and bosses....I mention this so that the current players realize that it will not be possible to complete 100% of the achievements until the game is 100% complete.
Sorry for the news, but at least you know we are working on it always.
Thanks for your time and Happy Gaming! ːsteammockingː
November 9 Bug Fix
<*>Fixed a bug where the achievements for beating bosses without getting hit were being granted just for beating the boss at all.
November 8 Update: Achievements are Live and Feature Playtesting
Changes:
The game now has 34 Steam Achievements to unlock.
Feature Test: The player's gun is now hold-to-fire rather than a toggle fire.
Feature Test: The ship's base movement and firing speed is now constant throughout the game. It is hoped that this will put more emphasis on damage and repair as well as help to ease new players into the early levels. Enemies have been re-balanced to match this.
The Shield timer meter UI is now a circle around the player's ship icon rather than a horizontal bar.
Changed the formulas for power up drop rates.
The first boss battle song now has lyrics. This has been updated in the soundtrack DLC as well.
Bosses now have proper sound effects to their attacks, matching those in the Metagalactic Monstrosities DLC.
Player 1 can now use either WASD or Arrow Keys to move in Story Mode.
Adjusted the amount of time it takes the player's gun to overheat.

New Free DLC: Metagalactic Monstrosities
We have just launched a Free DLC package titled Galagan's Island: Metagalactic Monstrosities, originally created for the Ludum Dare 33 Game Jam.
In this DLC you control the bosses from Reprymian Rising, trying to destroy the hero.
This DLC uses separate application file to launch. After downloading the DLC, when you hit "Play" in your Steam Library you will get a popup asking whether to launch Reprymian Rising or Metagalactic Monstrosities.
As we move forward, we will be continuing to update and polish this DLC alongside our work on Reprymian Rising.
September 20 Patch Notes: Sound Track, Co-Op Changes, Swarm Updates

Demo Update
The game's demo has been updated to reflect the current state of the game. Demo downloads also include a folder titled "Original Demo" (downloaded to the same location as the new demo file), which holds our original demo to show how far we've come since first entering early access.
