This emergency update was to address the black screens appearing for client players in online games. This issue was linked to our camera optimization and is now fixed.
However, it should be noted that the Labrys Gigantas special abilities currently do not properly work for the client side in our online multiplayer. We know about this bug and are currently working to fix it, which we hope will be resolved by the next update.
We considered delaying this update to resolve both issues, but decided that we could not leave an entire game mode unplayable until then.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience.
GARRISON: ARCHANGEL UPDATE v0.2.14
Hi! This weekly update introduces three new weapons to the game! The full buglist is here.
New Hand Weapon : LABRYS GIGANTAS! The new weapon is a giant axe that deals massive and quick damage but suffers from a lack of mobility and slow recovery. However, it can charge up by holding down its special command, allowing for various types of projectiles to be fired depending on the level attained!
New Shoulder Weapons : TRAILBLAZER and ORTHRUS! The new shoulder weapons are the Trailblazer Thrusters and the Orthrus Scatterguns! The Trailblazer grants passive forward boost bonuses and a quick charge maneuver, while the Orthrus essentially consists of two shoulder-mounted shotguns! More shoulder part options!
New Presets and Updated Presets! A lot has changed over the past iterations of the game. We have updated certain presets but found the rest of the roster lacking and obsolete. So most of the roster, with the exception of the champion builds, have been changed. We also added two new presets, made by members of the Garrison: Archangel team who want Archangels in the canon to represent their true (chuuni) self : 'SSS-CRIMSON.TRIGGER' and 'RUDE BOI'.
Various Optimizations! We've done some optimizations in game that allow lower-end machines to run the game smoothly. We hope you guys enjoy a smoother experience as you play the game!
Music List Update! We've decided all our songs to the custom game music list, including several new tracks: Blood-tinged Heaven, ARCHANGEL ~Shiny Groove~, and Simulacrum of Civility. They have been featured in our various videos on youtube as well as our anime trailer. We've also returned Woeful Sky (Menu theme) and Soliloquy of Restless Dream (Garage theme) to the selectable music list as per request.
Horde Voice Update! We've added a third batch of voices from our volunteers to horde mode! Now you kill less Paolores when you play! Thank you to Elosacle, Vol Ventura, and Maple from our Discord for contributing their voices! You can submit your own voices by following these instructions! here!

SchAFer Balancing Part 2 SchAFer's effective range has been reduced to 75%, the second part of its balancing after its ammo reduction from last week.
Rapid Missiles Fix We just noticed that the shoulder linear missiles individually dealt 250 stab damage. This was a mistake. They have been reduced to their old value of 100 damage.
Thruster Animations A small visual feature in which the X-Thruster and the Charger Thruster now animate depending on the direction you are boosting in!
Various bugfixes and Feature Fixes Mostly bugfixes pertaining to the new Death Tickets mode and mech save files being corrupted.

GARRISON: ARCHANGEL UPDATE v0.2.12
Hi! This update adds the new game mode, 'DEATH TICKETS' to custom game! This update is one day early due to holidays being announced in our country. The full patch notes can be found here.
New Game Mode : Death Tickets! A new game mode, called Death Tickets, has been added to the game! In this mode, each team has a number of lives or 'tickets', which are expended every time a member of that team dies. Once all tickets are spent, death is permanent (until the next match, anyway)! We hope this adds a new experience for our players!
SchAFer Balancing Part 1 Although it is outside our scheduled balancing timeline, we've decided to reduce the Schafer's ammo count down to 75. This is the first part of its balance, which we will announce and discuss next week.
Bugfixes! Several bugs were fixed, such as Mugenzakura and Dominus moves not being mirrored properly on the left hand. We also fixed a bug regarding parry victims being unable to dodge cancel after waiting out the stun period. Several more bugs (mostly menu related) have been addressed in the bug list.

GARRISON: ARCHANGEL UPDATE v0.2.11
Hi! This update is mostly bug fixes and the addition of the latest Cosmic Clash Champion's winning build, "LIOPLEURODON" to the game. The full patch notes can be found here.
New Preset : LIOPLEURODON Kikopro's winning entry in the latest Cosmic Clash tournament now become parts of the game's canon! This powerful mech boasts insanely High Melee Damage and Deflection. With its shotgun and shoulder armor, it is a monster at close-range combat!
Bugfixes! Several bugs were fixed, such as overlapping UI elements at the bottom of the screen. They now scroll if the text is too long. Other gameplay and HUD bugs are also addressed, such as being stuck in destabilize state when rapidly pressing dodge during overload and the lingering invincibility from standing up still being in effect after an action is performed. The complete list of fixes are in the patch notes.

ARCHANGEL ANNOUNCEMENTS JUNE 2018
After receiving feedback from our community here at Steam, we've decided to do a monthly newsletter (via Announcements) regarding our plans, feedback and just general heads-up of our development direction at the beginning of each month.
Basically, this is a monthly text version of our Wednesday Warzone, which allows for a little more organization (and editing!) in our information dissemination.
So... this is our first issue! Let's down to business!

Major Netcode Development and changes to the Roadmap
Netcode and multiplayer are a major area of concern for us, and we have been continually fixing and updating it to make it a smoother and better experience for everyone. However, we reached a point where its development hit a roadblock.
To overcome this challenge, we would need to overhaul a core framework of the game, which we estimate will take a month to complete. It is quite the heavy update that will affect many systems in the game (even combat in offline/singleplayer game modes) and thus we have to change up development schedules to prioritize this.
Obviously, this would impact the roadmap laid out in our previous announcement, especially since we intended on completing development on dedicated server applications and implementing dedicated servers at the end of this month. This will also potentially impact future plans, possibly moving them back by a month or changing them entirely (particularly online services).
Completing this development will lead to improvements in the netcode and online play we previously could not achieve. This will improve our current system of peer-to-peer online matches, as well as future dedicated server-based multiplayer systems.
But do not fret, for we will continue to have weekly bugfixes and lesser feature updates (the details are below!) We thank everyone for their patience as we continue to make the game a better experience for everyone.
Camera and Lock-on
Related to the news above is our redevelopment of the camera system, which will also affect lock-on and general movement. We hope that this improvement will create a better experience in battle.
We've also received feedback regarding the lock-on systems which we've already begun to fix.
We're developing a 'soft lock' feature while your mech is in free-look mode, which automatically locks the attack to the target closest to the center of your screen when you attack.
However, as you are not in the traditional hard-lock mode that forces your camera to fix on the target, the soft-lock immediately disengages when the target leaves the edge of your screen.
We believe that this change will give players more options to deal with multiple enemies.
This feature will be released with the Framework update mentioned above.
Single-player Content
Admittedly, when we set out to create Garrison: Archangel, we initially wanted to focus on the pvp and multiplayer aspect. However, as time went on, we've noticed the repeated calls for a true single-player experience.
This is why we released horde mode as our test, our first step in this direction. We're testing the waters with this mode as a springboard for further efforts.
Although we can't give everyone a solid timeline of what to expect just yet, we have recently begun development of assets and systems for future campaigns and missions - particularly those of non-archangel enemies.

New Game Mode : Death Tickets
A game mode being developed is called 'Death Tickets', which will be initially available in Custom Game. We aim to release it by the second (or is it third?) week of June, specifically in the June 15 weekly update.
In this game mode, players have a number of 'tickets' or 'lives', that get reduced whenever they die. If they die and have no tickets remaining, they are finally eliminated from the game for good.
This means that players can respawn in the heat of battle. To avoid getting pounced on during this period, they will have lingering invincibility, similar to the quick wakeup state from destabilization.
This mode had not been announced in the roadmap prior, but it was actually one of the features we had initially planned for release.
Like horde mode and survival, it won't be available for online play just yet - that feature will follow as we continue to develop the online experience.
New Parts Coming!
Staying true to the pattern of updates thus far, we are releasing a slew of new parts at the end of this month.
We aim to add one hand melee weapon and two shoulder weapons at the end of this month.
All we can reveal at this point is that the hand melee weapon will be as heavy as the Dominus, will deal lots of base damage, and will utilize a similar charging system.
The two shoulder weapons will include a new thruster and a projectile weapon.
New Cosmic Clash Champion and New Preset!
If you've been listening to our other social media, you may have heard of the Cosmic Clash tournament we held last June 2.
If not, then here's a little introduction: Cosmic Clash is a monthly tournament we held during the early demo phase of the game. It is a collaborative effort held at Cosmic Gorgons for players in the Philippines, particularly the Manila area.
Traditionally, the Grand Prize winners of this tournament have the option to add their winning builds to the game as Archangels you can encounter in arcade and use in Custom Game. In this Cosmic Clash tournament, discord regular Kikopro won and became our new Champion.
For this reason, we will be adding his Archangel "LIOPLEURODON" to the game's preset roster. Its high Melee Damage and Damage Deflection make it a terror to behold in the arena!
Fashion Fight 2018 Top Ten Voting begins!
We've been running a contest called 'Fashion Fight' in which players can submit their builds in a bid to be crowned the best-looking Archangel in town. The submission phase is over and the top ten finalists have been chosen.
It's up to the public now to decide who is the most fashionable of them all!
Vote now and decide who gets to become part of Archangel canon!
The grand prize winner will also work with us to design a cosmetic 'skin' of a part of their choice, which will be added to the game! Aesthetes unite!

Garrison: Archangel will be at Toycon 2018 this year, at SMX, Mall of Asia, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. If you are in the area, you can try out the game at our booth. We also have a raffle and a mini-tournament on Sunday, where you can win Steam Keys of the game!
