It’s time to talk a little bit about car customization in Car Junkyard DLC 🚗
Hey, Gas Jockeys! ⛽
I’m excited to share the latest updates about our upcoming Gas Station Simulator – Car Junkyard DLC, with a focus on one of the most thrilling features: car customization. I honestly believe that it's gonna be one of the most exciting mechanics in the game, so let’s not waste any more time, and dive right into it, shall we? 🔥
Customization Overview 🎨
Once you've cleaned the desired parts in the Chemical Bath and given the wreck body a thorough scrub with the Grinder, you're ready to embark on the customization journey. Customizing your cars not only adds a personal touch but also influences the car’s overall evaluation, impacting its value and appeal.
Customization is divided into two distinct phases: Design and Assembly. Each phase offers unique opportunities to enhance and personalize your vehicles.
Design 🤔
Every customization begins at the Platform Panel. This interactable station becomes accessible once the wreck body is cleaned. The Interface provides a comprehensive overview of your car. Here, you can see the car's name, dynamic statistics, current price, and tier, all of which update as you add or change parts. The interface includes slots for each car part, clearly marking crucial parts and distinguishing already installed components.
You’ll also see any active contracts, helping you ensure that the parts you select meet specific requirements. For a streamlined experience, there's even a button to automatically add all available parts that match your chosen contract’s requirements. How cool is that? 👀
Express your creativity by selecting from various paint types (metallic, matte, etc.) and painting styles (plain, stripes, etc.). You can apply different colors to different car parts for a truly customized look. When it comes to decals, pick your favorite designs, adjust their position, rotation, and scale, and add them to your car. You can remove decals individually if you change your mind. We wouldn’t call it a customization without those options, right?
Once you're satisfied with your design, you can save the configuration, reset to the cleaned wreck state, or proceed to the Assembly phase.
Assembly ⚒️
In assembly mode, you will use a customisation gun, similar to a spanner. Activate inspection mode with the SHIFT button to see all the interactive parts of the car. Hovering the cursor over these parts highlights them, making it easier to see what you are working on.
To assemble a part, simply left-click while using the customisation gun and the part will be placed in its place. The car colour and decals are then applied, adding the finishing touches.

Unfortunately, as the saying goes “All things must come to an end”. In the end I hope you’ve enjoyed our little sneak peek into the whole customization thingy. I’m curious to see your comments regarding this feature. Your feedback has always been invaluable for us, which is something that we’re so grateful for. I cannot wait to showcase you even more stuff that our production team has been cooking off recently, but for now until the next devlog, fellow gas jockeys! 👋

Learn more about Chemical Bath 🧪and car parts in Car Junkyard DLC 🚗
Hey, Gas Jockeys! ⛽
Welcome to another Gas Station Simulator - Car Junkyard DLC development sneak peek. Today, I’m excited to share some more information about car parts ⚙️ (assembling and disassembling them, how you can make some profit, etc.) as well as the Chemical Bath which is gonna be another spanking new structure that will be introduced with the DLC. Ready to jump in? 🔥
Chemical Bath ⚗️
The Chemical Bath is a brand-new structure crucial for the proper functioning of your junkyard. Designed to wash car parts and prepare them for assembly onto freshly prepared wrecks, it's an essential feature that will allow you to restore some rusty car parts that you find while progressing through the game.
Chemical Bath Management 📦
Chemicals are vital for efficient cleaning. The more concentration, the more efficient the cleaning process is. As you’ve probably guessed, as soon as the concentration drops to 0%, the cleaning process stops. In order to restart the process, you need to first restore the concentration to 100%. Have a quick look at how it looks currently in the game.
Car Parts Overview ⚙️
Car parts play a crucial role in the Car Junkyard DLC. They are obtained from wrecks delivered to the junkyard, and they can used to build a brand-new vehicle. Car Parts can be separated into two categories 👇
Dedicated Parts: Includes front and rear bumpers, left and right doors, and the hood. These are essential for car customization and they only fit particular car models.
Universal Parts: Includes rims, spoilers, exhausts, mirrors, engines, and turbos. These parts can be used across different car models.
Each car part has its own tag indicating which particular requirement (performance or design) it will affect. As you’ve probably already guessed, parts with a performance tag will impact stats such as acceleration, top speed, handling, etc. On the other hand, the ones with a design tag will only impact the car's visuals.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, gas jockeys 😥So, before we finish, let us know in the comment section down below what you think about the idea of chemical bath and car parts. How do you like some spanking new tools that are on their way to Car Junkyard DLC? The more feedback we collect, the better the DLC will be, I promise. Keep those comments coming, and I’ll do my best to answer them. Transfering between DLCs 🔄, VIP update 🕵️, and Car Junkyard DLC release date.
Hey, Gas Jockeys ⛽
Exciting news ahead – today we’re thrilled to share the release date for the upcoming Car Junkyard DLC. If you think that’s all then allow me to surprise ya all. Gas Station Simulator has received a brand-new content update which brings a new type of your one-of-a-kind clientele. Anyway, we have a lot to cover in this announcement, so let’s not beat around the bush and start with a spicy Gas Station Simulator – Car Junkyard DLC trailer 🔥
Car Junkyard DLC teaser and the release date 👀
Sean, a daydreamer with muscle cars know-how but little to zero financial knowledge, is on the lookout for someone who will help him turn his falling business into a money making machine. That’s where you come in. New challenges, missions, story, mechanics, and business await. All of this available on August 15th, 2024 for 16.99 USD.
VIP Update is here 🕵️
That’s right! From now on a VIP customer will visit your station from time to time. Basically, you wanna serve him just like a normal client but there is a catch – serve him properly a couple of times in a row to receive a special bonus which will boost all of the sources of your income. However, there is one difference that distinguishes VIP customer from a normal one and that is its own cooldown. As soon as you serve the VIP client you’re gonna have to wait a couple of minutes until he comes back again, so you don’t have to stand on your tiptoes 24/7.
wake up gas jockey, we have a VIP customer to serve
Transfer between DLCs 👀
From now on you can freely move between maps if you happen to own a particular DLC. Right now you can transfer between Tidal Wave and Route 66 but we’re planning to expand this feature for a Shady Deals map as well. If you want to transfer your character to a different map all you need to do is simple interaction with the sign post below.
With this update we’re also introducing a brand-new feature called passive income. The idea is simple – if you’ve unlocked different maps (in this case Tidal Wave and Route 66) they can basically profit from each other. The amount received is calculated based on the average income of your Costs and Revenues from the last seven days on the given map. In other words – you need to spend at least seven days on a particular map. Otherwise the system won’t be able to calculate how much passive income you should get. You can delve into all of the necessary statistics in the section in the Economy Tab called “Passive Income”. As always – I’m counting on your feedback, folks!
Stay up-to-date 📰
And that’s gonna be it for today! So, how do you like our little surprise? Feedback is much appreciated so go now and enjoy a fresh update. I can’t wait to see your comments regarding both the trailer and VIP update, so do not let me down, okay? And last but not least for all of the things related to Gas Station Simulator and upcoming DLC, stick with us and consider adding the game to your wishlist 🙇Until the next devlog!
Progression in Car Junkyard DLC + info about the upcoming update🔥
Hey, Gas Jockeys! ⛽
Welcome to another Car Junkyard DLC development update. Last time we shed some light on the crane and crusher which are one of the main features of the DLC. If you would like to catch up, don’t hesitate to click ➡️ this link ⬅️ which will direct you to the recent announcement 🔥
Today, we shift our focus a little bit. We’re gonna cover everything you need to know about the Board 📋and Contracts 📈 in the DLC – you know, without them there is no point of running your own business, right? Without further ado, let’s get started! 😎
Update is coming to GSS 👀
The production team wanted me to announce that another update for Gas Station Simulator is just around the corner. There is still some stuff that is rough around the edges and we’re working hard on bringing it as soon as possible to you. I guess it’s fair to say that you can expect it to go live sometime next week. Don’t know when exactly tho, that’s all they told me.
The Board 📋
Board serves as your command center and helps you get around the junkyard with ease. Here you can check and access all of the necessary information which includes map (crucial when choosing the next wreck delivery), contracts (will talk about it later on), sale, and fame. Think of it as the heart of your business. It’s your number one go-to place when you need to check whether you’re going in the right direction or not.
Contracts 💼
Everyone knows that strategic management is as important as running and operating your junkyard. Every business needs different kinds of jobs in order to prosper and expand. It’s basically the same case in Gas Station Simulator – Car Junkyard DLC – you’re gonna need different contracts to build up and grow your empire.
Contracts are related to the specific client order and they have different requirements in order to complete them. The requirements are divided into the ones related to car parts as well as the general appearance of the car, so you will have to pay close attention to the details and demands of the particular client.
As you progress through the game by earning contract points, you’ll unlock different types of contracts as well. They might be a bit more demanding in terms of requirements, but the reward will be much, much higher. As the saying goes – high risk, high reward 😎
Independence Day🗽
To all of our players and community members that today celebrate Independence Day in the United States, we’d like to wish you a joyful 4th of July! Let’s hope that one day Denis will stop haunting your gas station, so you’ll finally be able to live your peaceful life.
Stay up-to-date 📰
Unfortunately, that is the end of today’s announcement. So, how do you like our brand-new development sneak peek? Do you still need some more details regarding contracts maybe? If so, don’t hesitate to leave your comments down below.
Just before we finish, I'll take a risk and share some insight news, but let’s hope that my boss won’t check this announcement before it goes live. Some people told me that the Car Junkyard DLC teaser is coming pretty damn soon, so I’d suggest you should keep an eye out on our social media channels. I’m gonna leave you now with this information. Let’s hope you’re gonna hear from me again. Until the next devlog 👋
Crane & Crusher: The Heart of the Junkyard 🏗️ + ⚙️ = ❤️
Hey, Gas Jockeys! ⛽
Welcome to another Gas Station Simulator – Car Junkyard DLC development sneak peek. In our previous one, we’ve delved a little bit into the whole customization thing, so if you somehow missed it, you can freely check it right now by clicking this link.
Today we shift our focus from customization to some of the core mechanics of the DLC which is operating crane and shredder. Apart from that, we’re more than happy to finally share our brand-new key art for the DLC – Not gonna lie, our 2D art team did an astonishing job with that one. Without further ado, let the game begin! 🔥
Key Art 🎨
I honestly don’t think there is a better way to kick things off than showing you our official key art for the Car Junkyard DLC. As always I’d love to hear your feedback so you know what to do, right?
Crane & Crusher: The Heart of the Junkyard ❤️🔥
One of the most critical additions in this DLC is the introduction of the Crane and Crusher structures. These features are integral to managing your junkyard effectively and are available from the very start of the game.
The Crane 🏗️
The Crane is your main tool for handling car wrecks. It allows you to attach and transport wrecks either to the Shredder for processing or to the Junkyard Workshop for further work. It actually works in the similar way to Towy from the Airstrip DLC, so I assume some of you might already have some expertise in controlling the crane. Check it out below and let us know what you think in the comments down below.
The Crusher ⚙️
The Crusher is designed to handle car wrecks which will no longer be of any use. This wide machine crushes the wreck with the enormous force of powerful presses. All that remains of the wreck is... a small compressed cube flying out of the back of the machine. When you'll hear the clank of that metal, you won't necessarily want to save every wreck at all costs...
Wrecks 🚗
Wrecks are one of the key parts of the Car Junkyard DLC. When these wrecks arrive at your junkyard, they bring with them the potential for profit and discovery. You can choose to crush them for immediate money or take your time to extract interesting parts from them. These parts can be used to assemble your own cars later on, so depending on what you currently need, you’ll have to choose wisely.
Stay up-to-date 📰
And that’s gonna be it for today’s update. So, how do you like it? What do you think about these features? What would you like to see next? Are there any other things that we should consider with this DLC? I’m gonna be looking for your answers in the comments, so you know the drill. Last but not least, if you want to stay in the loop of everything Car Junkyard DLC make sure to add it to your wishlist 👇
P.S While you’re waiting for the Car Junkyard DLC release and spending countless hours looking for some fantastic games to play, we have a recommendation for you. We’ve teamed up with some fine folks from Movie Games and we’ve managed to create a great bundle for ya all. If you’re looking for an awesome deal (pun intended) you can kill two birds with one stone and get Drug Dealer Simulator 2 with Gas Station Simulator – isn’t that cool? 😎
If you're not familiar with the title, now's the perfect time to check it out.
We "highly" recommend it.
Paint Grinder 🎨, customizable wheels 🛞, and more!🔥
Hey, Gas Jockeys! ⛽
We’re back with another Car Junkyard DLC development sneak peek. In our 2nd episode we've uncovered some backstory of the main character in the DLC – Sean. If you're curious to see what kind of person he is and what's gonna be his role in the game, feel free to click this link.
Today, I'm gonna go through some new mechanics that we'll introduce with the DLC along with some awesome-looking customization options. But before that, let's make some noise, because it's time for another update for Gas Station Simulator 👀
Car Junkyard DLC 🚗
Now, let's move on to the main event—updates from the Car Junkyard DLC. The team has been working tirelessly on brand-new features, and I can finally share some first iterations from the development. Keep in mind that most of the stuff you see here is still work in progress, and the final look might differ as soon as the DLC launches.
Grinder 🎨
Grinder is a powerful tool that lets you strip old paint from cars, preparing them for a fresh new coat. It’s a hands-on tool that requires precision and care, making the restoration process both challenging and rewarding. Satisfying, isn’t it? 🤩
How about something even more enjoyable? We’ve added stunning visual effects to the paint grinder. As you work on stripping the paint, you’ll see sparks and detailed particle effects, making the experience more immersive and visually appealing. Honestly, I cannot wait to get my hands on it ❤️🔥
Customizable Wheels 🛞
We couldn’t help ourselves not to introduce customizable wheels with the Car Junkyard DLC. With the ability to add customizable wheels to your muscle car, you’ll be able to add that final touch and hopefully create the car of your dreams. Check some of them on the screenshot below, and let us know what you think.
Changing Car Parts ⚙️
We’re also excited to introduce the ability to customize your cars. Bumpers, engines and exhausts – you’ll have a wide range of components to work with. This feature will enable you to repair and upgrade cars in more detail, giving you greater control over the restoration process. Do you recognize these patterns?🐶 Let me know in the comments below 👇
Stay up-to-date 📰
And that’s it for today! Let me know in the comments down below what you think about the whole customization thing in Car Junkyard DLC. Your feedback is the most valuable thing for us, so keep those comments coming. I’ll do my best to answer most of them. Last but not least, get ready for the Car Junkyard DLC by adding the game to your wishlist – we can’t wait for you to experience all of the new features. Until the next devlog! 👋
