These new NPC models donât just look better â theyâre also part of our ongoing quest to optimize the game. Thanks to tech improvements under the hood, we were able to make them both prettier and more efficient.
As we mentioned earlier, this update focuses solely on visuals â the behavior of your customers remains unchanged (yes, they will still honk if you leave them waiting too long). But we promise, theyâll look way better doing it now.

Fixed a bug where cars could still be taken by the UFO during a restart, even if the gas station was empty.
Airstrip:
Fixed an issue where cleaning the barn too early at the AirStrip could block progress in the questline.
Tidal Wave:
Fixed a bug where music would stop on Tidal Wave when transferring from Route 66 during an active sandstorm.
Car Junkyard:
Fixed an exploit in the Junkyard where a single contract could be completed multiple times by pressing Enter.
Fixed an issue in the Junkyard where cars could not be moved from the design spot.

In our upcoming update, weâre refreshing the look of the people who visit your station. Thatâs right â new NPC models are on the way! While their behavior will remain the same (theyâll still buy snacks, complain about the dust, and drive off in a huff if you ignore them), theyâll now have a much more detailed and modern appearance.
But this update isn't just about looks - it's also part of our efforts to optimize the game. Thanks to technical improvements and lessons we've learned since launch, we're now able to implement character models that not only look better, but are also more efficient.
Itâs all about giving your gas station a bit more visual flair without sacrificing performance.

Display Your Own Custom Moviesđż
Thatâs right! Weâve read your countless comments regarding that feature and we obviously couldnât have let you down. With this DLC, youâre no longer limited to pre-set films â you can now screen your own custom movies at your drive-in â the big screen is all yours to command đ¤ŠHowever, there are some requirements that you need to obey. First of all, the only file format that is acceptable is .mp4. Second of all, the maximum duration of your custom movie cannot exceed 20 minutes. Thatâs still quite a long time to watch some of your old school clips on the big screen in the game, right?

Ticket Control đŽ
Imagine going to the cinema with a fake ticketâwhat do you think would happen? Youâd probably get kicked out, and your chance to watch that long-awaited movie would slip through your fingers. In the Gas Station Simulator â Drive-In Cinema DLC, youâll step into the role of a ticket inspector, ensuring that no sneaky moviegoers try to watch films for free.
Cleaning đ§š
Just like your gas station and toilets, your Drive-In Cinema needs proper cleaning too! Apart from those pesky customers leaving trash behind, youâll also sometimes miss your shot at the Dennis dummy, right? At first, it might feel a little tediousârunning between your station, toilet, and cinema to keep everything spotless. But donât worry! As you upgrade your cinema to higher tiers, cleaning will become automated, just like most other systems in this DLC. âď¸
Events in Drive-In Cinema đď¸
It wouldnât be a proper Gas Station Simulator DLC without some exciting events to boost your renown and income, right? Letâs take a look at two new events that will be available alongside the DLC.
Rush Hour â
As the name suggests, a single hour between 10 AM and 10 PM will be randomly selected. This chosen hour will be visible in the projector screen UI, and if you schedule a movie for this time slot, youâll gain special benefitsâsuch as increased popcorn prices and faster renown growth.
Trending đ
The Trending event is a special occurrence within the projector, where 1-3 random movies are selected to participate. These movies receive a special tag, making them more visible to you. During the event, ticket prices for these movies increase by 50%, providing a revenue boost.
Important note: All events start at 12 PM and last 24 hours until the next draw.
Drive-In Cinema is coming in March 2025! đĽ
Yep, you read that right! Soon, your beloved gas station will receive a brand-new, free expansion, bringing you exciting new ways to boost your income and popularity. So, make some popcorn, grab your favorite drinks, wrap yourself in a warm blanket, and mark March 6, 2025, in your calendars!
