The Series of Updates post has been quite a success as it seems. Please keep those suggestions coming. We are collecting all the suggestions and evaluating each one of them. We just finished reviewing all of them as of today around noon and more than a dozen already made it onto our to-do list already.
We will definitely provide some improvements to handling shelves and goods on those shelves. As for employees being able to stock shelves, that is something that's already on our to-do list for a larger update for employees early next year that will also expand on the roles the employees can perform. Before that, we'll make several improvements to the handling of goods as such.
Among many of the smaller things you have requested, we will also do something about improving the experience when placing things in the gas station and allow you to do something about the larger junky structures that seem to bother quite many of you.
Those are just a few of the hot topics we know for sure that will be done, there is a lot more that is still being looked into. We won't make a final decision about what is going to be developed and in which order for at least 2 more weeks, so please keep those suggestions coming :)
Another hotfix is already live just before the weekend. I don't want to take much of your time, so without further ado let's jump straight into the patch notes
Fixed an issue that caused crash during loading a game related to employee scheduling
Fixed various issues with Party Spot triggering/resseting
Employees now should avoid trash container near Warehouse
A Series of Updates
Hey, Gas Jockeys!
We are currently working on various improvements to the game. Some of these fall into the "small improvement" category, some are quite large. We decided to not push all these things in one update, but spread them over a series of updates to not hold back things that are already done and tested.
While we do not have an estimate for a release date, yet, we will provide you with a nice update roadmap once we do.
Now, the reason for this announcement is less about letting you know that there is something in the works, but to ask you for suggestions for Quality of Life (QoL) improvements you'd like to see. While tackling some larger things there is always a bit of time for some team members that could be used to implement some smaller features that will make your life easier or reduce the annoyance of certain tasks.
So please let us know in the comments to this announcements what Quality of Life improvements you'd like to see in the game and we'll see what can be done :)
I've got some great news for ya all just before the weekend! Our team has been working tirelessly to bring you another hotfix which deals with some issues that you've been encountering since the Employee Update release. Having said that, it wouldn't be possible to track and solve all of those problems without your help, so huge thanks from all of our team members!❤️
Now it's time to delve into another chunk of fixes that made their way into the game, so let's roll! 🔥
Fixed an issue in some other scenarios, that made the player get stuck in the cash register minigame while an employee was trying to serve the customers there
Employees now should avoid Warehouse stairs
Performance in the Warehouse area was increased
Employee behavior in connection with secondary tasks in the schedule was improved
Terrain was adjusted to help customers exit a car when going to the fuel pump on the first Gas Station level
Employees now should correctly take the Ice Cream vending assignment
Employees now will not take Ice Cream vending assignments while the player is occupying the booth
Employees now should correctly take the job when the second assignment is swapped with the first one in the schedule
Employees now will not get stuck on Fuel Pumps
Just as usual – if you encounter any strange things happening during your gameplay session, make sure to let us know whether in the comments below, Steam forums, or on our official discord channel (which I highly advise you to join). Have a wonderful weekend, folks and see ya in the next announcements!

Fixed an issue that prevented cars from being removed by the UFO button

Key features 🔑
Pay attention to the God’s mood – Experience the wrath and benevolence of Chunchumanchu with the revolutionary Volcano Meter. This unique gauge serves as a direct reflection of the god's mood. As time passes or customer dissatisfaction mounts, Chunchumanchu's anger will grow, bringing unforeseen challenges to your island oasis.
Keep up the harmony – Balance the island's precarious harmony by performing sacred offerings at the altar. Toss coconuts, shells, or other items into the caldera to appease Chunchumanchu. Each action carries a distinct impact on lowering the god's anger and preserving your business.
Expand in the way you want to – In Tidal Wave, players will have the unique opportunity to freely expand their Gas Station empire. No objective limitations – just you and your money.
Face the consequences of your actions – Fail to maintain the god's favor, and prepare for a cataclysmic eruption that transforms your paradise into a fiery hellscape. Business will grind to a halt and customers will flee in terror. Can you keep Chunchumanchu at bay?
Mortal Business Logic – Equip your Gas Station and other structures wisely. Neglecting proper maintenance can lead to accidents, resulting in the escalation of Chunchumanchu's anger. Monitor equipment durability carefully to minimize risks.
Engage with a variety of different activities – Diversify your repertoire by providing scuba diving and surfing rentals. But beware, equipment neglect can lead to accidents that will directly affect the Volcano meter's volatile mood swings.
Confront threats that lurk in the ocean – A lurking shark adds an element of danger as it occasionally targets your customers. Quickly react by throwing objects or deploying underwater mines to protect your patrons and profits.
And much, much more – Fuel jet skis, receive cargo by boat, and confront unexpected weather phenomena such as gray sandstorms and thunders, making each day on the island a new challenge.
We’ve also just revealed the Steam page for our upcoming DLC, so if you don’t want to miss any future updates, consider adding it to your wishlist 🙇
Unfortunately, this is the end of our announcement. Thank you so much for sticking with me till the end, folks! Last but not the least – we’re open to hear your comments and feedback regarding not only the employee update, but also our freshly announced DLC. The stage is yours, gas jockeys – any comment that you share is valuable, so don’t hesitate to leave those down below. See you in the future devlogs!

Genesis of the Employee Update & Live Stream announcement!
Hey, Gas Jockeys! ⛽
In our last announcement I’ve shared some important information with you about why we’ve decided to move some tools from the Gas Station Simulator: Can Touch This DLC to the base game. If you somehow haven’t seen it yet, make sure to check it out by clicking this link.
In today’s devlog I'd like to delve into the genesis of the Employee Update. So, what are you waitin’ for? Grab your favorite drink and let’s roll!
Genesis of the Employee Update💼
First and foremost, it all started with an analysis of a plethora of your comments. After that we’ve realized that sooner or later some additional employees, as well as the ability to schedule their work time and tasks, will be required.
After the release of the Airstrip DLC, we’ve noticed that there are even more comments stating there is simply so much stuff to do at the same time. This was a crucial moment for our team, as we’ve decided to put the emphasis on that matter and bring you guys the much anticipated employee update.
With that being said, we just wanted to let you know that we’re here for you and we’re constantly checking your comments whether it is on Steam, social media channels, or our discord server. In fact, after the release of the employee update, we’ll be focusing on some other major fixes that were requested. Stay tuned for more information!
We’ll be live streaming🎮
Before we proceed to the end of this announcement, I just wanted to let you know that we’ll be live streaming on September 18th, 2023 at 6 p.m. CEST time. Come and visit us at Gas Station Simulator Steam page. We’ll be showcasing the new Employee Update, answering your comments, and giving away some keys for ya! – How cool is that? Don’t hesitate and mark that date in your calendars, folks!

P.S Today marks the 2nd anniversary of Gas Station Simulator, so here is to another wonderful years to come 🥳
Customize your station with tools migration!⚒️
Hey, Gas Jockeys! ⛽
In today’s devlog we’re gonna talk more about tools migration. We’ll delve into all the details so you guys are familiar with the stuff coming to the game along with the Employee Update. Before we jump in, we’d like to thank you for all of the comments that we’ve recently received. Your constant support, feedback, and the fact that you cannot wait for this update to come to life are pushing us forward on this journey, and we’re so thankful for that. ❤️
But enough talkin’. We know you are eagerly waiting for some exciting news so we won’t bother you any longer, folks! Without further ado, let’s jump into the devlog!
What actually is tools migration? 👀
For those of you who are not familiar, in order to further customize your station you need to own the Gas Station Simulator: Can Touch This DLC. Having this DLC present in your Steam library allows you to customize roofs, floors, and even walls with a variety of different styles and decals (Christmas, Valentines, etc.)
For us, however, such an approach leads to multiple problems when it comes to adding new content to the game (as it most likely requires Can Touch This: DLC). Having said that, we’ve decided that those tools need to be available in the base game as well. Doing so allows us to unlock new possibilities to enrich the Gas Station Simulator even further. We won’t spoil anything yet, but we already have some great ideas in our heads, so make sure to visit our socials and Steam page regularly 🤩
On the other hand, bear in mind that to unlock additional roofs, floors, doors, windows, decals, and more, you’ll still need to own a Gas Station Simulator: Can Touch This DLC.
Ok, now it's time to tell you a little bit more about what exactly those tools will allow you to do in our game. Let’s roll!
Hammer tool 🔨
Stop… It’s hammer time! With the hammer tool available in Gas Station Simulator, you’ll be able to change the positions of the cash register, trash can, walls, windows, doors. You will also be able to adjust queue placements – how cool is that!
Decal gun 🔫
With the decal gun you’ll be able to create your own text that you can use later on to decorate your station in whatever way you want – let’s show Dennis a true display of skill.
Vacuum tool 🌪️
As we stated in one of our recent announcements – the vacuum tool is getting an upgrade, so it won’t leave trash bags anymore – just you and your shiny gas station ✨
What is yet to come?
Before we finish today's short announcement, we’d like to let you know that you can expect another devlog coming next Friday. We’ll talk about the genesis of the employee update, and we might have a cool surprise for you. We cannot say more for now, so unfortunately you have to wait untill next Friday to find out what it might be. You can also try to guess in the comments – let us see those comments!
Stay up-to-date
And that would be it, gas jockeys! Once again, we’d like to thank you for the feedback that you’ve been giving us. Having said that, we’re open to any suggestions and ideas regarding the game, so don’t hesitate to share those in the comments section below.
Manage your way up to the top - Scheduling System Devlog
Hey there!
We’re here to make your life in Dust Bowl much easier - managing a whole gas empire would be difficult without help of your employees, wouldn’t it? Well, the news is that with the upcoming Employee Update things are about to get much smoother - today we’re talking about a whole new Scheduling System.
Grab yourself some coffee or tea, and let’s roll!
UI-wise we decided to make it clear and simple - no excel spreadsheets, no meetings that could’ve been an e-mail, no corporate atmosphere. Just you, your employees, and your task manager.
Starting with the left side, you can access all the info about your employee - it’s important to get to know them better, right?
Other than their backstory, you can also access your employee’s skill levels here - how convenient!
Next up we have those two buttons:
The orange one sends your employee back to their camper - let’s say Riccardo get’s stuck. What do I do? I just press the button resetting his position, so he can get back to work. The red button can be used to fire your employee whenever you’re not happy with them - damn, let’s hope you won’t have to use it.
And here’s our favorite part of the whole system - task management:
You can task your employee with two different actions at a time - the upper one will have a higher priority, which means the lower one will be executed once the employee is done with the other activity.
In this example Riccardo will be fueling cars whenever there’s a client waiting to get it done - if nobody’s waiting, he’ll be repairing cars instead.
IMPORTANT: You can see a little checkbox next to the tasks - it allows you to activate and deactivate actions. If both of the actions are inactive, the employee will return to their camper. Deactivating the action with the higher priority automatically deactivates the other activity as well.
Now, for the finance-management part, we have employee’s salary. Whenever they are doing their job, they accumulate a certain amount of money they will have to be paid whenever they go on a break in order for them to come back to work. The yellow button with a star means you can give your employee a bonus that will replenish their stamina bar and allow them to work overhours.
And last, but not least - we have two different shifts now!
Here you can choose whether the employee is gonna work night shifts or day shifts on your station (or both if you give them a bonus salary).
On the right side you also can see how much you have to pay your employee at the end of their shift - if the checkbox is ticked, the game will automatically pay the salary with your funds.
And that’s it for today! Stay tuned for the rest of the devlogs regarding The Employee Update!
By the way, you should definitely check out our Airstrip DLC, and also Car For Sale Simulator if you want to have some more time while waiting for the Employee Update!
