Meet Chief BonBon, Sweet Spot's first chocolate based firefighter ๐ฉโ๐. Some know him only by his famed chocolate ๐ซmusk smell, but Chief is best known for his heroism during the great Candied ๐ถJalapeno Wildfire where he single-handedly saved Sweet Spot from certain destruction. Remarkably, he was also the only eye-witness to see and report on the incident. Nonetheless,
Chief's legacy as a fiery chocolate-spewing firefighter led him to establish Sweet Spot's first chocolate based fire department. The results of fighting fire with chocolate have been somewhat mixed, but Chief remains a beloved and reliable resident of Sweet Spot.
At one point Chief actually ran for president, but once it got out that he loves spicy red pepper chocolate, an extremely controversial chocolate in Sweet Spot, he dropped out of the race. His primary equipment is his Chocolate Hydrator, a special device that collects his chocolate sweat ๐ฆ for later use to put out fires (don't ask us).
His Chocolate Hydrator can also be used for wicked fast terrain flipping.
Hero Spotlight: Meet Rolbert ๐

Meet Rolbert, the ground rolling master from Stufford. He's got a bit of a superhero complex and self-styles his persona as "The Plungerman". His recent promotion to Assistant Manager at the Stufford Pipe Emporium probably went straight to his head.
He spends most of his time working on non-superhero related projects with his one and only other team member, Cranks. Cranks, incidentally, thinks the whole superhero business is way overrated.
But what's not overrated is Rolberts powerful ability to roll ๐the ground around him and steal powerful weapons and items. Superhero or not, when he sends dangerous environmental hazards your way at lightening speed, you better be prepared.

Georifters Update v1.0.1.169 is now available
It's Friday People! and Rolbert is back! Today's rollout is all about langauges! and as always we'll explain some of the main highlights and skip stuff like fixed typo blah blah blah.
Portuguese
Rolbert, with a little help from Chief, have been hard at work localizing Georifters to Portuguese, so all you players in Brazil, Portugal, and Portuguese speaking countries can get in on the action. This was quite the learning experience for them, Rolbert and Chief had to go back and make some fundamental changes to the UI both in design and code. The great thing is that it's going to make it easier for them to bring Georifters to more languages in the future!
UI Improvements
You may notice some subtle tweaks and changes to our UI. It's all to provide future support for not only languages but also planned improvements.

Happy Friday People! Rolbert here, bringing you another update! As always we'll explain some of the main highlights and skip stuff like fixed typo blah blah blah.
Punch Improvements
Big fist bump ๐ค๐คto all of you who have been showing Rolbert some love with your feedback about using our ground bending "Punch" system; Rolbert has made a huge tweak to how it works. The old implementation knocked players out of the flow when it was being used; you loved punching so much and wanted to be able to keep punching, but we also wanted to avoid spamming and button mashing and encourage some strategic elements in using this move. With the new system, we think we've found the right balance, now you can go ahead and punch to your hearts content, but if you get too fast and too furious ๐, you'll get tired and will need to rest up a little bit before you can unleash another flurry of punches, but don't worry during that cool down time you can switch over to your other ability, or throw a weapon, thus guaranteeing you'll still be a danger to others ๐ฑโ๐ค If you pace your self right in Adventure, you'll hardly ever enter a punch cool down state, but in the multiplayer battle arena where things are a lot more hectic, you'll need to use a lot more skill and your wits when letting your fists loose, let us know what you think about the new system? Breath in๐จ, Breath out...๐จ
Added in some additional animation on our speech bubbles. That subtle breathing feeling just adds more character to the heroes. [previewyoutube="Eucduz2TRVE;full"]
Energy System
The punch move, ability and a few other systems are interconnected, we tie them together with an energy system; So in making some updates to how punch works, we had to also completely re-work our energy system, this was not just for punch but also for some super secret future updates that we have planned for the future.
Wall hugging
We added in a new lean system, so if you keep running against a wall or object you'll just hug ๐คit instead of looking like your constantly ramming your head against a wall. Also works while crouched. [previewyoutube="cR98AmkzdbM;full"]
Divert power to the shields
This ones more for the dev's at heart out there, but we made our shield system a little more dynamic.
Enemy balance
In Chapter "Are we there yet?" we we did a balance pass on "Spitball" for some reason he just was wrecking havoc on a few players "S" rank runs.

Updated some of the achievements descriptions in steam, so your not spoiled we don't list them out here.

Balancing acts
The epic adventure Chapters "Follow the white light" and "Going Back... somewhere" -- thanks to the awesome support and feedback from the players, has received a bit more tweaks and twerks, we balanced things a bit to provide more balance to the various rankings awarded to the player. Give it a try, let us know what you think about the new balance.
Be kind rewind
Those rifts we're playing havoc on our auto tutorial videos, we found out that a rare few were not replaying as they were supposed to. Rolbert's fixed that for you, your welcome!
Crazy about crystals
The "Crystal Craze" achievement was not popping up for a few players -- This is now resolved and you should now be able to go crazy again. But try not to go too loco!
Rock shower
Not advised to shower with rocks, but if you do have the inkling for it, Rolbert's got you covered. We addressed an issue in chapter "The simplest solution is always the easiest" about how the rocks shower spawned around you.
Card collection
Fixed a minor issue affecting a few players where stickers did not update properly when you acquired new cards.
Overlapping terrain
If you don't notice this, then Rolbert's done his job well, we've done some under the hood polish on how blocks that occupy the same physical space behave. Physics yo!

Georifters Update v1.0.1.41 is now available
Hey guys! Rolbert here to give you a quick rundown of all the fixes and improvements I am delivering to you--yes, moi--there were no other Georifters involved or harmed in delivering this patch, none of the developers worked on this. Seriously, I didn't get any help whatsoever.
Balance adjustments to ranking
With way more players competing for the high scores and better rankings we found that there was still more we could do to improve the balance of what ranks players achieved when they completed a level. Now achieving the different ranks, S through to C should be a little more fair and reflective of your performance.
No more speaking in tongues
Those crafty rifts were causing an issue where, when switching between languages, would every now and again, cause the game to be stuck in that language, and the only way for you to progress was to either learn the language, or open up google translate. Sorry if you already put down a deposit for that Chinese language course.
Unlockable upgrades progress meter
We have a ton of upgrades that players are able to unlock in the game, and some require a bit more effort to obtain. For players it was hard to see how much more work they needed to do to get their next upgrade, so we have now implemented a progress bar and a bit more information for players to be better informed about how far they need to go or what else they need to do to get that juicy upgrade for they're hero.
UI updates
There were some areas in the UI that we felt could be clearer for players, so we've gone and started to tweak a few areas to just make it a bit easier to discern certain elements and information.
Pop up messages
Discovered that an incorrect message would always pop up after players used in game rewards to obtain a swanky new costume; we've corrected that message. (Also, don't panic, all purchase are from your in game heroics, no real money transaction required ;) )
AFK Buddy
Some players were complaining about friends who left them hanging when they needed their support in the game, but still were able to take credit for all their hard work. We've fixed that, AFK players wonโt be able to take unnecessary credits and crystals, they're going to have to get off their ass and work for it.
