Team AI Patch

Team Ai improvements made and released last January have been lost in recent updates. This patch will improve team AI back to the state it should have been in last January.

FINAL UPDATE PATCH FOR v1.0.5

Final patch update which brings some more improvements and fixes to the game.

In this 899MB update

Zombies have been remastered with better AI and better animation.

The flashing green screen when hit by an enemy has now gone and has been replaced with a more relevant effect when having armor or not.

Fixed bug in ASMI cutscene where the player could throw grenades switch weapons etc.

Fixed a bug in Third person Advanced Rifle (Green floating orb has now gone)

Fixed up an issue where the end of the level would not trigger when clearing out the Yellani base.

Fixed Lean not working

Fixed Monster Mash Achievement not working

Fixed F as interacting/use a pickup, not as default (previously T)


These fixes and improvements help the gameplay and feel of the game. Thanks for the feedback everyone, a major announcement will soon follow with the full updates log for Version 1.0.5

Inventory Improvements



The inventory has gone through some major improvements to make it easier and quicker as well as more informative. The items now stack, and give you a number for that item. Before the items were placed in individual slots and would litter the inventory and make it very difficult to count a specific item in inventory. The I button has now been removed and items now display information when hovered over the slot. This has also been applied to weapons which all now have descriptions.

ATV - Buggy Improvements



The ATV has had much more work on mechanics which makes it feel much better in the game and handles much better on the terrain. The vehicle eject has also been fixed up where previously the player would be ejected from the world.

New Content



As a random element, the first 2 starting chapters have a new story which will make it more interesting and fun especially for those who have played the game. This is the starting base for more random story branches with new areas of the ship in the next update.

Overhauled the pick-up / Interact



Previously only a hand icon was visible when you could interact with items, lockers, doors, and consoles. As a lot of people were unsure of the controls this has been improved. Using gamepad or keyboard and mouse item interactions have been improved which tells the player which key to press.
This improves the flow of the game, especially for new players.

Other Improvements and Fixes




  • The Ending is now also working with some new cinematics.

  • Fixed a bug where enemies would get stuck in Maintenance - Story Mode

  • Fixed misc typos

Update V1.0.3.2 is now available

We have released a few patches over the last couple of days fixing up and improving the game. The new update is 2.2gb and improves some crucial aspects of the game and also fixes a few crucial bugs which have been found in the last version.

All AI has had some major improvements to animation, navigation and and are less buggy.

Improved team mates - Team mates are more effective against zombies and now run away when attacked.

Fixed Icarids and team mates walking through the gate on Onslaught and story mode.

Fixed flamethrower issues

Fix tutorial and SATS - small arms training sim were HUD would not show. You know start with the correct weapon, a CDF combat knife.

Grenades no longer kill team mates

Grenades no longer kill you!

Improved Launch set up utility which now includes detailed quality settings before launching the game. This is also used to fully customise movement and all controls in the game with any keyboard.

Misc bug fixes and improvements.

We all took a step back in 2020. In 2021, we move forward with hope and enthusiasm and our first update of 2021 for Ghostship Chronicles.

Tutorial

The tutorial has been worked on and expanded upon. The tutorial is now much easier and more fun to play. The game now requires you to have completed the tutorial which now emphasizes the main aspects of some crucial gameplay elements much better.

New additional content

There is an all-new and much more relevant single player onslaught map - Yellani station! Battle a new enemy with lots more fun in a more practical and relevant scenario for an onslaught mode map. There is also a host of new infected which was tried and tested during beta testing which is now in story mode and onslaught maps.

Gameplay Quality

As an indie game with a lot of unique features and a shoestring budget. This game will receive regular patches and updates over the coming months. In this latest update, the balance and quality of the game have had some major improvements over the last few updates in 2020. We have a fun and extensive game that works great with single-player and over the coming updates we will be extending and fixing up the current multiplayer build. As an honest developer, don`t get this game at this time for multiplayer. In the months ahead, we will be moving forward and get enough testers to release some cool new multiplayer-focused content.

Performance Optimisations

We have made many optimizations in the game in general and everyone will get much better FPS rates. For ATI based players, there are common Unreal engine Game problems with spikes and irregular gameplay drops. This is something we will always do what we can, but for this release, ATI users should get much better performance than before as well as fewer or no crashes. Feedback from the ATI community is vital to work on this more in the coming updates.

Improved lighting

The start of the story mode is very dark, some maps are also very dark. With improved scopes (Aiming) there is now much better visibility and some sights see through fog such as the SMG Image Intensification sight. While others such as the battle rifle have a thermal scope with a friend or foe tagging system. The standard assault rifle now has a new sight that eliminates dark areas and highlights pickups and items of interest. Aside from the weapon lighting improvements the flares are now working great and give off much more light. Some decks now have emergency lighting which will help light the area around you while keeping the atmosphere of the game.

AI Improved

Improved teammate AI and also reduced damage from enemy attacks. They should now help much more and help players got to further chapters with a surviving teammate.
Enemy AI is now much better, with bug fixes, and more varied and new enemies which really help the look and feel of the game as well as huge gameplay and experience for new and current players of the game.

Improved multiplayer

We have made some major improvements for multi-player such as removing the aliens, improving the weapons and sights, and making the 4 available team death match maps more fun. As not many people have the game it is best to arrange to play with a friend or group of others who have the game. Coming updates will see much more added to multiplayer including co-op survival mode.

Story Mode Random elements and Balancing

Story mode has now been much better balanced and easier progression curve as you get through the chapters. With the new extra additional chapters, the player needs to survive with at least 1 teammate. This should now be much easier and will make you work more as you get through the story. Each new game will seem that little different with new additional random elements for encounters and flow of the game. This will be expanded on much more in our next update.



Bug Fixes and Improvements

In our new update, many issues, bugs and some weird things happening for some of you in single-player have been fixed up. Multiplayer is still being worked up for coming updates.




  • Fixes some muzzle flash effects on laser rifle mk5 and the Advanced assault rifle.
  • Fixed a bug where Friend or for tracker would keep some zombies and other enemies highlighted after death.
  • Improved all AI smoothness for animation.
  • Fixed multiple bugs for most enemy AI which animation for hit and attack did not activate.
  • Fixed a rare bug where some gas-masked zombies would spawn blood in the air with collision - which in turn affected player movement.
  • Zombie navigation improvements.
  • Zombie animation and bone improvements for better close up effects.
  • New enemies added ( A new and official enemy update guide will be released for the community on the 18th of January 2021.
  • Fixed up issues with the player collision in stasis on story mode.
  • Added more items in story mode.
  • Teammate AI damage reduced, collision improved, and additional teammate inclusion in the tutorial.
  • Improved the flow and balancing of story mode to make the progression curve much better.
  • Icharids now jump as well as some other enemies.
  • More voice acting added.
  • UI improvements and main menu enhancements for Onslaught mode.
  • Performance optimizations for AI and in-game effects.
  • Lots of misc. bug fixes, this is a major update.
  • Multiplayer fixes and improvements


Additional Notes and Tips :



ATI users are best using Vulkan! Our game supports it and will really help with fps and other issues.


There is a setup launch option that gives everyone the ability to customize all the controls such as movement and on different keyboard types. Be sure to check out the config utility which is a launch option on steam before starting the game. A New Year update is now available!

We finish 2020 with a second major update - V1.0.2.1 - (1.9gb) which really adds a better feel and quality boost to the game. In the last major update we introduced extra content and more improvements. This update follows on with some major improvements to some core parts of the game such as aiming down sights, weapons, Zombies, special effects and much more.

Improved weapons and usability! Most weapons have had a number of improvements. The new Vision X holo-sight for the standard rifle now illuminates dark areas and highlights pickups. Other weapons such as Battle rifle and mini-gun now have new sights with Friend or Foe systems to highlight hostile targets.



Zombie improvements! Less buggy, more varieties, improved animation and AI and much better Zombies with better headshot effects and new blood effects.

Team Mate Boost - Team mates are now much better and keeping at least some alive should be much easier. Better AI, can take more damage and generally fight much better.

Better performance! We have made more optimisations to make the game run much better. You will still need to observe minimum specs and if using a laptop - Use low Effects settings.

More random elements added to story line so no 2 games will be exactly the same. Story mode is much more fun and still full of surprises after this update.

Winter 2020 Content update now available

Hi everyone, a huge content update is now available (3.4gb) download and the game size has now been extended to 36gb.



The new update is huge and offers many hours of fun and extends story mode with lots of extra fun and objectives as you try and survive on the planet. If you have at least one survivor you can play through the extra chapters. If you survive alone then the game will end there.



We have made it easier to keep team mates alive, improved team mate AI and improved enemy AI. There are lots more goodies for you such as more medical boxes to keep your team alive.

There are lots of improvements and more lighting has been added to the first chapter on story mode. There are also some team death match improvements.

As we look forward into early 2021 we will be introducing the Co-Op survival mode as well as more voice acting, cinematics and content for Story mode and Onslaught modes.
