Giants Uprising - PATCH 1.0.2

Update 1.0.2

General:
- Slight optimization throughout the whole game (f.e. VFX and meshes complexity and skirts of Slaver-type giants)
- Fixed an issue with disappearing quest log after reloading the last checkpoint (NOTE: this patch will most probably erase all of the previous save states from ver. 1.0.1)
- Camera has been slightly zoomed
- Framerate cap has been set to 60 FPS
- Increased meat health recovery from 40% to 50%
- Display of version in the upper right corner of the screen has been added
- Health of the Player has been increased

Blood & Sand level
- Damage received from Giants AI has been reduced
- You can now destroy the doors directly, without having to walk into the waypoint in front of them first
- Space outside of the arena has been properly meshed
- Overall Lightning has been changed
- Torches pointing the way have been properly positioned near the destroyable doors
- Navigational dialogues have been added

Borderlands on Fire level
- Palisades have been erased near the end of the Level
- Decreased number of towers and soldiers near the end of the level
- Trigger areas for the first anchoring traps have been enlarged

Homecoming level:
- Disabled the objective marker in the labirynth
- Dizziness effect has been visibly reduced

Update from the team - 15 Nov 2021

Dear Giants,

We are finishing our work on repairing the Save System, along with a few other optimisation issues and crashes. Tomorrow the patch will be published on Steam, however BEWARE - although this patch does fix some of the issues reported to us in the last two weeks, our changes to the Save System require erasing all of the User's current progress, as saves that were created beforehand are corrupted and will not cooperate with the new tweaks included in the patch, therefore this action is necessary to avoid any other potential issues.
We are sorry for this inconvenience, but we truly hope that you will give our title a second chance, as this patch makes our game a bit more approachable.

Patch 1.0.1 for Giants Uprising is now available

Dear Giants,

We are still solving the issues regarding optimization, we solved some of them, but due to the lack of possibility to perform proper compatibility tests, proper optimization process might take a little longer. If the game running on maximum graphics settings does not let you to fully enjoy the experience, we recommend going into the "options" sub-menu in order to lower the settings. We do understand, that this is only a half-measure, but we will do everything we can in order to replace it with proper solution as fast as possible.

Our tests also resulted in tracking down some issues regarding the various graphic cards, please make sure that:
- You are using the latest drivers for your graphic card
- You are using the latest DirectX
- (Laptops only) You are using a proper graphic card, not an integrated one

Patch 1.0.1 for Giants Uprising is now available on PC - Steam. Here's the list of changes for this update.
Please note that the issues listed below did not affect all players.

General:
- Fixed an issue with camera clamping in Skill Tree view
- Fixed an issue with cannon's collision after destroying the towers
- Dialogue informing about low health has been disabled
- Humans falling out of destroyed buildings have been disabled (SFX stayed)
- Death screen has been disabled, checkpoint is now automatically loaded
- Fixed an issue with Quest Log's visual offset
- "Damage received" animation can be cancelled much earlier than before
- Bunch of Audio issues has been solved
- Story Missions now have proper description in World Map view
- Added navigation UI in the World Map view
- Slight optimization with destruction
- If the save is made with Rogbar having less than 10% of health, loading the game will refill health to 10%
- Rebalance damage of Cannon Towers
- Giant Hunters deal less starting damage
- Added low life UI life bar animation
- Added low life meat UI animation
- Added UI animation for picking up the meat
- Added UI animation for eating up the meat

Blood and Sand
- Fixed the issue with being stuck in metal gate after destroying the very first wooden doors
- Improved chasing Giants AI
- Chasing Giants no longer use superman punch
- Damage dealt by Chasing Giants has been lowered
- Enlarged width of waypoints
- The User is now able to progress even after missing a waypoint by destroying wooden doors
- Changed the number of cows required to interact from 3 to 2
- Rebalanced damage of Giants primary attack with fists
- Lightning improvements in the corridors of Arena

Borderlands on Fire:
- Fixed an issue with gate not being properly destroyed by the boulders (edytowane)

Homecoming
- Fixed an issue where the game randomly crashed after watching the "Mask" cutscene
- Drest's Giant no longer A-pose after watching the cutscene
- Terrain at the beginning of the map has been changed
- Fixed a couple of issues with collisions
- Diziness effect has been slightly decreased

Plan Failed Successfully
- Fixed an issue where the quest waypoint appeared behind the User after loading the checkpoint

Over the weekend another small patch will be uploaded on Steam, this patch will contain fix regarding the save state on Borderlands on Fire map (the issue that causes quest log to disappear and inability to move forward with the story). Thank you for your patience.

Dear Giants,

We see your struggles, we hear your opinion. By the end of this week, a patch containing fixes for the most severe issues will land on Steam.

Additionally, by the end of November, we will increase accessibility of our product by:
- overhauling "Options" sub-menu,
- allowing to enter "Options" sub-menu from in-game pause menu,
- allowing to re-bind the controls to your own need

GIANTS UPRISNG EARLY ACCESS ROADMAP!

Dear Giants,



Today marks the start of the ā€œGiants Uprisingā€ Early Access. After more than three years of development, we are happy to finally share the effect of our hard work with you. During the development process the project has seen major redesigns, some of them during the tough COVID-19 times. We are proud of the final effect and truly believe that today we are merely publishing the beginning of a powerful story and a much bigger final game. We decided to go with the early access formula, because we plan to expand the game content with the help of our growing community. We have many ideas for the game’s further development, and we also believe that there are many roads that could be discovered with your help.

We have prepared a roadmap where we present our content plans for Q4 2021 and Q1 2022. This does not include many of the smaller patches and content add-ons that will happen in the meantime. During the incoming weeks our team will focus on tweaking, balancing and fixing the reported issues. We also want to celebrate a little, because this, in all honesty, is a big milestone for us as a team, and no matter what happens, from this point onward it can only get better.

Thank you for your continuous support throughout the process, the road has been long and sometimes bumpy, but we are happy with the final effect, and we can only hope that you will love it as much as we do.
