Halloween Event
Halloween Event in GIBZ will run from the 13th of October to the 7th of November (UTC).
This is an automatic event that happens in-game each year. Some exclusive hats and achievements can only be earned during it!

Trick-or-Treat! - random houses appear on the overworld map, knock on the doors for chance for some loot or a fight
Some houses give you a chance to get the exclusive Werewolf or Spitter Masks! Both with unique abilities.
Pumpkins appear in random encounters and explode like mini tnt crates - smash enough of them to unlock the Pumpkin Head
Candy of all sorts replaces the regular food pick-ups - Eat enough candy to unlock the Witch Nose and Witch Hat

It's Xmas time in GIBZ again! Everything from previous years is back, a couple of hat buff changes were made and a rare upgrade has been added to the Travelling Merchant. Buy the "Dynamite Pouch Expander" to permanently be able to hold a total of 9 sticks of dynamite (12 with the Mining Helmet buff). The chances of it being in-stock is greatly increased during the Xmas event, so make sure to get it if you like to throw dynamite around.

I also did some more work on the texture loading to try and help the people who've been getting LoadingFailedException crashes. Let me know if this update causes any problems for you, though hopefully it should work better for everyone.
High Resolution Sprites/Textures
The support and option for High Resolution Sprites/Textures (4K) has been added to the game! Great for people that play the game at a 1440p resolution or higher.
Originally the game used sprites/textures made for 1080p, which didn't look that good when you played the game at higher resolutions. So I went through a re-exported them all for 4K, added support for sprites at different resolutions and fixed a whole bunch of problems that came with it. Now the game can look nice and crisp at higher resolutions!
Patch Notes:
Added new option for high resolution (4K) sprites/textures (default sprites/textures are 1080p) - the game now looks nice and crisp on 1440p+ resolutions
Tweaked how textures are loaded (should fix the LoadingFailedException crashes that occurred for some people)
Tweaked pre-loading and loading screens to fix some issues
Fixed AI path-finding bug that could occur on some maps when zombies spawned from doorways
New and Updated Translations
GIBZ has finally gotten offical translations for French and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional). The translations for Russian, Ukrainian and German have also been updated to include the recent content (Spanish was updated last week as well).
The game has already done pretty well in China and France compared to other countries so I thought it was about time I actually added support for their languages.
In other news, I'm currently working on adding High Resolution (4K) sprite/texture support. Which will add a new option to use high resolution sprites that makes the game look a lot nicer on 1440p and higher resolutions. It's practically done but a weird issue came up so I'll have to take some more time to get it ready.

A new update for GIBZ that brings a new activity to enjoy! Along with a new weapon, hat, 10 new achievements and 2 new leaderboards to compete in. There is a lot of various fixes and improvements with the update as well, as you can see in the patch notes below.

In there you'll find a brand new upgrade tree you can throw your coins at. The first 100 waves are pre-set, afterwards they are randomly generated, getting harder and harder. Compete the in the new leaderboards to see who can reach the highest wave or who can clear the most total waves.
The Halloween event has also started! You can now earn the Halloween themed achievements and hats from previous years. Food crates stock candy and random houses are popping up around the Overworld Map, so dress-up and go trick-or-treating.

Build and defend your base from waves of enemies and bosses!
Becomes available after beating the final boss - appears on the overworld map near the Lumber Yard

Balance Changes -
Blunderbuss - 6 pellets are now loaded into the gun at the start of reloading (continues to load 3 at a time afterwards)
Scoped Rifle - Speed is now affected by "+Single-shot firerate" perk (25% faster reload, 15% faster bolt action)
All bosses now give 25% more coins on Normal Difficulty and 50% more on Hard
The Treasure Chest from the Treasure Mini-game now gives 750 coins (up from 500)
Lowered chance of finding empty crates
Increased chance of the Treasure mini-game appearing when going for the Hardcore Achievement
