It has been a while since we've shared anything. We wanted to give an "official" announcement that Gladio will no longer be worked on. We just wanted to be clear in case there was anyone who was thinking about purchasing the game but waiting for more updates first, and in general for those who already own it. The game wasn't a huge success, but we had fun and learned a LOT in the process. It just doesn't make sense to continue investing time and resources into it further.
Thank you to everyone who has supported the game over the past 2+ years and for all of your feedback.

2.0 Update Patch #1
Hi everyone,
I just released a patch that fixes some issues and addresses some early feedback.
For those of you who have been having crashes upon trying to launch the game, check to see if you have a file called "Video.sav" located at (yourname)>AppData>Local>gladio_v2>Saved>SaveGames>Settings>Video.sav. If that save file does exist, delete it. When you go to launch the game, it should launch in a window. You can then change your window options in-game from there. Apparently this is a known issue with other Unreal Engine 4 games.
As for the rest of the changes, they are as follows:
Added option for corpse lifetime
Added option for blood decal lifetime
Added option to turn off low-health screen effect
Added "Victories" stat
Added separate options for Invert Mouse Y and X
Added separate options for Invert Controller Camera Y and X
As always, if you have any questions or any type of feedback, please let us know! We apologize to those who have been having those startup issues, but this should help.
Thanks, Strider
2.0 UPDATE
[previewyoutube="DI_tJGIbzvA;full"]
Hello everyone,
The 2.0 Update for Gladio is finally ready to download! In this update we have redesigned the majority of the game based on player feedback and our own.
New Gameplay
We have completely redesigned the combat to feel better and overall be a lot more fun. We used to have a directional attack system that, while interesting, was neither reliable nor intuitive. We have replaced this with a Single and Radial system that is based off pressing or holding attack. We find this to be much more fun and definitely more consistent.
We have designed the Health system to be a bit more dynamic than usual. Attacking and/or utilizing a mobility mechanic will use some of your health. However, landing hits on and killing your enemies will give you back health. This means you will have to manage your health carefully.
We have also added in various Crystals which add a layer of difficulty to the game. Whether it's draining your health or spawning in tougher units, you will want to dispose of these Crystals quickly.
New Enemy Types
You will be able to fight against 5 different enemy types:
Archer
Grunt
Legionary
Knight
Mage
Each of these types of enemies presents a unique threat and will require a unique approach in order to defeat them.
New Abilities
Your Health also serves as a resource to perform various special ablilities. You can perform a Palm Strike if you have enough health, and depending on how much you have the Palm Strike will have different effects. You can also buff your Sword when your health is full which allows you to deal much more damage. Activating any of these abilities will consume the majority of your health though, so use them with caution.
Controller Support & Configurable Controls
We have added in full controller support and remapping of buttons. We have also added rebinding for Keyboard & Mouse controls.
Achievements
There are 46 achievements to be unlocked!

Hi everyone,
4188 is now on Twitter! Be sure to follow us there!
It has been some time since we’ve shared anything in regards to GLADIO. We have been hard at work and we’re excited to share a new trailer with you all!
[previewyoutube="kNIbVCpILmI;leftthumb"]
We also wanted to share some general info with what’s been going on and what to expect in the future:
Why the Radio Silence?
We weren't completely sure what the game's identity was until recently
We didn't want to mislead people and promise features or mechanics that we couldn't deliver on
What Took So Long?
The first iteration of GLADIO was buggy, performance heavy, and not very much fun so we chose to remake the entire game and old mechanics from scratch
There was a lot of iteration and prototyping before the game became fun to play
A lot of new assets had to be made and new gameplay mechanics programmed
What is the Current State of the Game?
Most of the game's combat mechanics have been completed and are being tested/balanced
Maps are in development
UI is in development
Game modes are in development
Will There be Updates After Release?
We will be updating the game based on community feedback
Support for the game is planned to continue through next year
As stated before, all future content will be free for owners of the game
We look forward to sharing more info with you soon, so be sure to stick around!
Gladio: Sentinels | Mobility Trailer 2
Check out our latest trailer for Gladio: Sentinels! [previewyoutube="5ZDjZo50_vQ;leftthumb"]
If you haven't already checked, Gladio is currently 50% off as part of the Steam Summer Sale!
Keep in mind that our next major update (and any other future content) will be free for everyone who owns the game, and the purchase price will increase once this next update rolls out.
This will likely be the lowest price for the game for a while, so if you are interested now would be a great time to jump in!
As you all should know by now, we will be releasing our next major update soon.
When this happens, the purchase price for Gladio will increase. We are not 100% certain on the total price increase yet, but it will be more than its current price of $2.99.
This is more aimed at those of you who have the game wishlisted and do not yet currently own it. I would highly recommend you buy the game before the update so that you get it for the lowest price.
I will be posting announcements here periodically until the update is released to keep everyone current on our progress.
