The new year has started with great excitement for us! As you all know, the release of Go Fight Fantastic is just around the corner.
However, what you may not be aware of is that, to offer you an even more immersive gaming experience, we've recently launched an update for the demo on Steam.
Key changes include:
We've fine-tuned the difficulty level of the Chapter 1 mid-boss, Gigapud, with a special focus on those who found solo play a bit challenging.
The final boss of Chapter 1, Froggy, has also undergone fixes addressing bugs reported by the community.
Additionally, we've reworked some encounters to make areas in Chapter 1 more captivating.
We hope these adjustments are well-received by those who have already tried the demo. For those still on the fence, we encourage you to give it a shot! 🎮✨
Go Fight Fantastic! December Update
Hi everyone!
As we roll towards the end of 2023, the day you can dive into the full version of the game is getting closer and closer! It's been our highlight of the year, knowing that soon you'll be having as much playing the game as we did creating it!
First things first, we’re MVP with all the environment art!! That means all the essential parts are drawn, and we're moving on to the polishing phase – a big milestone for us! We're also making strides with the cutscenes in Story Mode, polishing and adding more character portraits.
We've kicked off a major polish pass on all the VFX, making everything clearer and giving it that extra punch! Bosses are getting some extra love too, with hand-drawn smear-frames and hand-painted motion blur. It's a game-changer, especially for those quick animations like attacks, where readability gets crystal clear, and animations pack that extra punch!
Our Technical Director even took some free time to drop some fan art for the game – a pixel-art reimagining of the Lobby. Go Fight Pixel-art, anyone?
We've also wrapped up and implemented all the text in the game, everything from NPC dialogues to descriptions – "Script Locking" the game, as they say.
Here you can see three of our community contributions, Party Parrot Perry, Beef Quack and Grover the Frog Mouth!
We’re also implementing all the music that’s been created for the game, so all the chapters have their own unique and kick-ass music.
The UI work is also continuing, wrapping up the Forge and everything else that’s been created.
Since we're on the brink of 2024, we want to wish you all the best for the upcoming year! May it surprise you with unforgettable titles that stay with you forever!
Thanks a bunch, The Dino Team
Go Fight Fantastic! Devs Update
Hello everyone!
November was an incredibly busy month for us. We're putting in all efforts to ensure you get the maximum enjoyment from playing. Here's a summary of what we've been working on:
🎮 UI Overhaul: We've been diligently implementing the UI created over the last few months. This includes a significant overhaul, updating everything from the layout of attack icons to setting screens and game mode selection. Almost all UI elements in the game have received some form of update. Here’s a sneak peek of the Strikers new attack icons and layout.
🖌️ Chapter Art: We're progressing with environmental art for chapters 5 and 6, nearing completion. The game is coming together, and visually, it's stunning! Most environments are drawn, and we're gearing up for the polishing phase. Check out a sneak peek from Chapter 5 – a beautiful autumn mountain.
👥 Character Portraits: Adding more character portraits, introducing new ones, and enhancing emotions to certain characters to enrich the story.
🌐 Online Multiplayer: We're synchronizing the last bosses in Story Mode to ensure everyone sees the same action simultaneously. Playtests for Online Multiplayer were successful, and we're refining features like "Buff Towers" in the updated Horde Mode, adding new challenges and dynamics. Buff Towers makes the enemies harder in different ways, e.g. it can empower them, so enemies in proximity do extra damage or it can give them regenerative buffs that heal them up over time, even without an aider! This really spices up the gameplay a lot!
🚀 Optimization: Conducting a thorough optimization pass to ensure the game runs efficiently on a wide range of computers.
🎮 Playtests: Recent playtests went well, focusing on improved UI, more environment art, Online Multiplayer stability, boss polish, and other enhancements.
🔨 Forge Implementation: Alongside the updated UI, we're finally implementing the Forge! In the Forge, players can level up existing meteorites using shards dropped from enemies, chests, etc. This provides more options and allows players to invest in upgrades without excessive grinding.
We're pushing hard to accomplish as much as possible before the Christmas break. Stay tuned for a more enjoyable Go Fight Fantastic! experience! 🚀🔧🌟

Studio update & NEW DEV DIARY!
Hey everyone!
Since our last update the studio have been very busy! There has been a lot of progress and we’ve come far since last time. The final art for chapter 2 is almost done, and in the beginning of next year we’ll move on to finalizing chapter 3! And in regards of the art, we’ve just moved to chapter 5 with concept art and mock-ups, and soon we’ll have a rough sketch out map over the whole story mode journey in the game!
A huge new feature that is implemented in GFF is... The new Meteorite Upgrade System! As the game progresses, you’ll find different kind of meteorites that you can use to build your character with. For example, it can make your character do more damage, run faster, or increase their special abilities! We have now added a sample of meteorites that is ready and playable, and we think that it really makes a huge difference for the game! The meteorites gives the player the chance to build the character to fit their game style.
Other things that we are working on is the online multiplayer, it is not done yet but we are getting closer! We are also creating new enemies, making new UI for the lobby and doing more cutscenes!
Our new Dev Diary is now live!
So, if you are interested in getting to know our characters more, we suggest that you watch this new episode!! We’ll tell you how some of the characters stumbled into each other and how we thought when designing them!
