It’s been a while since we last spoke, but today we bring some exciting and important news. Before we jump into it, we want to extend a huge thank you to all of our players. Whether you're currently building your goblin village or have taken a break (once a goblin, always a goblin!), we truly appreciate all the feedback and support you've given us. You’ve played a big part in the game's success, and we’re incredibly grateful. However, we know we have not fully delivered on the promise and potential of this game we love so much. So, after a lot of long thinking and design work, we have come to an important and difficult decision. Do some major rework!
Over the past months, we’ve been working hard, not just on smaller updates and bug fixes but on something much bigger. And here it is: Goblins of Elderstone will be launching a major 2.0 overhaul update later this year! This includes a much-needed and overdue engine upgrade to Unreal Engine 5.5! This will mean significant visual improvements, new gameplay features, and an overall enhanced gameplay experience, taking into account all of our players' feedback over the year. We are very excited to deliver this new version to you soon!
Of course, such a big shift comes with challenges. As a result, we’ll be pausing regular small updates for a while so we can focus all our efforts on this major update. But don’t worry—this isn’t a step back. It’s a major leap forward for the future of the game.
We’ll be sharing sneak peeks along the way to keep you updated. Once we’re close to launch, we’ll invite some hardcore players to help test the new version and share their feedback.
Before we wrap up, we want to say thank you once again. Your passion and support make everything we do possible. Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or just joined recently, your presence means the world to us.
And if you're not already in our Discord community, now's the perfect time! It’s the best place to get early looks, share your thoughts, and stay on top of all things Goblins of Elderstone.
Until the next riot! ~ Outerdawn Team

Greetings, Goblin Chieftains!
We are pleased to present to you a new King of the goblin nation, our hefty, hungry, husky new Highness of Goblins. The Goblin King now has a fresh visual upgrade, including new animations. There’s now increased player control over resource management with new toggles at the Storage Hut. The team has been hard at work on some large balancing changes and design goals this update, with a number of bugs squashed along the way.

Major Design Changes:
Needs Wheel functions as an overview of Goblin Needs fulfilment instead of Warrens storage.
Storages and Warrens have local resource storage instead of global.

Added fixes to the butchery to rebalance the storage sizes to more correctly match the ratio of the recipe from breaking down a pig.
Added blocks for jobs that would overflow a crafting buildings storage to not get queued, but if for some reason they still do, to have the overflow drop resources on the ground so none are lost.
Bug Fixes:

Thank you for your continued support and feedback!
Update 1.5: Return of the Burrows
Greetings, Goblin Chieftains!
We’re pleased to bring you a small but significant update as we continue to improve Goblins of Elderstone. Our team has been hard at work enhancing features and tackling pesky bugs to ensure you have the best gaming experience possible. We’ve added a powerful new crash reporter tool to help us gather better data on bugs and crashes, allowing us to address future issues more effectively and keep your gameplay smooth and enjoyable. Check the patch notes below to see the specifics.
Features:
• Reenabled burrows with improved navigation, goblins will now physically travel through a tunnel below the map at increased speed instead of teleporting. • Destroying a Burrows while a goblin is using it will allow them to exit via the entrance, if both are destroyed then any goblins using the tunnel will be killed. • Trade merchant courtyard now has animations, and the turtle is better centered when settling down for trade. • Updated crash reporter for better bug tracking, added some custom art to the crash reporter.
Bug Fixes:
• Work efficiency on the Worg den UI is fixed. • Incorrect skeleton count in the enemy's notification has been fixed. • Added some new unstuck code for more fixes/detection for how goblins can resolve their state if their pathfinding fails. • Added a fix for some empty notifications that could be loaded from a save.
Thank you for your continued support and feedback!
