Update 1.0.21

As we promised you before, we will continue updating the game.
A new update has been released for Goblins of Elderstone. We're still working on other stuff in the shadows, so stay tuned.

Read the notes below to find out what’s been updated.



Update 1.0.18 - Notes:



Features - πŸ“



  • Added double-click selection for dropped resources to select all of them on screen.
  • Added a button to the Dropped Resource UI that does the same thing as double-clicking a dropped resource.
  • Made particle effects for the prioritization changes update immediately instead of fading out over time.
  • Made it so Peons can only have one Resource Type set for scavenging or one Construction site prioritized at a time.
  • Made it so Scavengers can only have one Resource Type set for scavenging prioritized at a time.
  • These priorities still allow for those one Resource Type to be a cluster for an Elder Resource.


Balance - βš–οΈ



  • New King/Queen select screen when your leader dies.
  • Goblins can no longer start with more than 4 traits.
  • Increased the angles for walkways to attach to buildings allowing them to attach more easily between buildings.
  • Dropped resources can now be collected by workers at buildings that generate those resource types.

UI - πŸ–₯️



  • Added new tooltips for dropped resource UI and changes to the checkbox for their priority handling.
  • Added a Clean Up Job prioritization for dropped resources to all crafting jobs, scavenger, and woodcutter jobs.

Bug Fixes - πŸ› οΈ



  • Burrows teleport links are fixed, so they should never create an unlinked pair.
  • The frog pond and tile ramps have had their physics fixed, so the camera should no longer react to them.
  • Crash related to a dead goblin in a trek is fixed.
  • Frogs should no longer always die off after 4 years, so on easier game difficulties, with longer summers, if the scavengers have not collected all of them, there should still be frogs alive in Autumn.
  • Fix for the harvest priority particles not working.
  • Delivered resources that go over the capacity for a building will now be dropped on the ground, including over-collected stones, etc for construction.

Patch 1.0.17

Patch Notes:

  • Hotfix for an issue where every second recipes, first resource at all crafting buildings wasn't being delivered

Patch 1.0.16 hotfix

Patch Notes:


  • Balancing has been updated for job priorities.
  • Insomniac trait has been disabled for new play through, we are looking at ways to balance this trait and will bring it back when we are proud of the change.
  • Woodcutter hut storage has increased from 20 β†’ 100.
  • Woodcutter hut unloading base priority slightly increased.
  • There should be a Randomize button in the Clan Create screen to reroll your starting selection of goblins.
  • The Elder trees should highlight correctly when hovered and clicked now.
  • The Pigs tooltip has been updated to explain that Pigs are not able to be stored in the storage hut and need to be processed first.
  • The No Production, Low Production and Missing Resources billboards on crafting buildings have had their behaviours for when they pop up as warnings above a building less frequently and only when an issue is ongoing, as they were causing some confusion with their previous triggers.
  • On a newly installed game, the game should default to full screen for your monitor resolution correctly now.
  • The Spell book audio has been updated.
  • The Trader arrived audio has been added back in.

  • Gender Icons added
  • King Radius to behave better - more defensive.
  • Tutorial Resources On Chief and Elder difficulty disabled.
  • Rocks/Berries/Construction only one prioritised per job.
  • Priorities balancing.
  • Checkbox Long Live the King - to allow the King to be the End Game or to be replaced on death.
  • The inheritance chances improved for faction and traits

Let us not forget our streamer friends who spent time playing our game and sharing it with the world.


➣ Secondly, we want to let you know we are aware of all the frustrations and issues some of you faced while playing the game that prevented you from enjoying the best experience of Goblins of Elderstone.

Our primary goal has always been to present a different colony sim experience. An experience that guarantees that you have fun wrangling these crazy goblins and seeing what goblin life and leading a tribe might be like.

Which comes from our deep love for goblins and our game. Ruling goblins is hard - they are silly creatures of chaos, and managing them should never feel too easy - the job of a goblin king or queen is to try Rule the Chaos! Otherwise, we would have made a game about passive, boring elves :D.

However, we want to apologize to our players again. The frustration with the issues with the priority system and especially the leader going off psycho mode is something that we thought we had gotten right in the final version.

We promise you that we have been reading all the reviews and listening to our players, new and old, and have been working day and night since we released the game to address this.

We have released a patch today to fix as many of these issues as possible in the time we’ve had and will continue working on updates to improve everything further.
