Edit Appearance for Weapon and Shield Attachments

With the addition of the new Dark Odyssey weapon attachments and shield rönd in the patch, we have added the ability to use the ‘Edit Appearance’ feature on those components of Kratos’ arsenal.

You’ll be able to pick whatever visual suits your look with the functionality you want for your build!

Updates

• Edit Appearance Feature changed to no longer require gear to be fully upgraded to level 9
• The Armor of the Black Bear set will no longer require reaching New Game+ to unlock it. For all new and in-progress saves, you will be able to access the armor set in the Lost Items chest as soon as it is available in-game.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue where Brok would not path correctly to the shop in Freyr's camp
• Fixed an issue where Hilts could not be crafted if item was not crafted before a NG+ run
• Special resources required for crafting Hilts can no longer be sold
• Special resources required for crafting Hilts will drop again if player sold the item on accident

Added New Gameplay Options

• Reduced Puzzle Hints: Reduces companion puzzle hints throughout the game to allow for more exploration time and trial and error

New PS5 Pro Enhanced Options

• PS5 Pro Enhanced Mode: New mode added for PS5 Pro that enables Favor Quality features while running at 60 frames per second
• High Frame Rate mode will unlock framerate when running on variable refresh rate monitors
• PS5 base Favor Performance mode is boosted on PS5 Pro
• PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution option available as an upscaler in addition to Temporal Anti-Aliasing

• Fixed an issue where rifts would not close and block progression after many hours of play
• Fixed an issue preventing the Rönd of Purification from being unlocked successfully
• Adjusted score calculations (Settings / Difficulty Hud Visualization to enable) to increase reward for higher risk taking and avoiding death
• Fixed an issue with final score calculation being lower than expected after using suspend and resume
• Fixed an issue where health stones would erroneously re-appear

Accessing God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla

Head to the PlayStation Store and download God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla. The DLC will not be automatically downloaded as a patch to the base game, you will need to download it separately from the store.

In order to play God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla, you will also need to have God of War Ragnarök fully installed. If you are re-downloading GoWR and downloading GoWR:V at the same time, please wait until the base game has completely finished before trying to access the DLC.

Once the base game and DLC have been fully installed, you will be able to access God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla via the main menu in God of War Ragnarök.

Known Issue

• If a user installs God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla before installing God of War Ragnarök, then tries to launch the DLC before the base game has finished downloading they will get an infinite loading screen.
  • WORKAROUND: Finish downloading God of War Ragnarök before attempting to access the DLC.
