A new challenge is now available! The rules of the game have changed again, and this time you’ll need to make a speedrun through the entire location. But it’s not that simple, as you’ll be racing through the Ministry, which is a true labyrinth. So, carefully examine the surroundings and available tools, plan your route, and only then make your perfect run. As always, completing the challenge gives you a reward you can use in the main story campaign.
Over the past year, the audience of Gone Rogue has grown by hundreds of grateful players and devoted stealth fans. One of the most common questions we’ve been asked is whether there will be a DLC or a standalone sequel to the game. At last, the moment has come for us to unveil the answer: yes! Active development of our new game, Deserter, has been underway for a whole year, continuing and expanding upon the ideas of Gone Rogue. In this game, we aim to realize all the concepts that didn’t make it into our first title, and take into account all your feedback and suggestions.
The game will take place in the already familiar universe of the all-powerful totalitarian State, but with a new plot and characters (though some of you will be pleased to see a few cameos from the first game). The release is planned for the second half of 2025.
We intend to regularly share updates about the game and upcoming features, so be sure to subscribe for news notifications by clicking the “Subscribe” button on the Deserter page and adding it to your wishlist.
A few minor changes related to gameplay usability.
Several bugs have been fixed.
English localization has been reworked from scratch. Thanks @toomanynights for volunteering to help! A few words from the proofreader himself:
While playing the game, I felt that the English localization lacked a bit of polishing, and the developers gave me full carte blanche to fix it. I tried my best to make the descriptions, diary entries, and menus as clear and intuitive as possible. But of course, the most overwhelming task and the biggest fun for me were the dialogues, as they required not only proofreading but also stylizing with the characters' backgrounds in mind, which sometimes even required lowering the initial text quality. Now Karl, an immigrant presumably from Germany, speaks a mix of English and German; a special tools salesman will actually try a few pitches on you; and Jack himself, excited about his new line of work, has adopted a moderate "guy from the streets" persona. I hope you will enjoy playing Gone Rogue with the revised texts, and if you have anything to say about this change, I'll be glad to hear your feedback.😊
New "survival" difficulty added!
The highest "survival" difficulty has been added. Recommended for experienced players or for repeated playthroughs. This difficulty cannot be lowered during the game.
Quality of Polish localization has been improved. Thanks to Mateusz Kwapisz for this!
Vegetation quality setting has been added to improve performance on weak computers.
More information about the new difficulty:
Food supplies After each robbery, Jack needs to leave a supply of food in the house. If not enough food is stored, Jack will feel hungry during the next robbery and some of his stats will decrease. But if Jack manages to fill his food stores to 100%, he will be full of strength and will be able to carry 5 kg more. Note that more food will need to be stockpiled with each new housemate.
Police search The more evidence Jack leaves behind during robberies, the more the police search for Jack, and the more difficult it becomes to commit further robberies. Accordingly, Jack can be in one of four states: unsuspected, suspicious person, wanted, public enemy. The increase of the police search is affected by: general alarm on the robbery, attacks on hostile characters, the amount of stolen items. There are several ways to lower the police wanted level, for this we advise you to talk to Bill or Albert.
Hostile Character Behavior Characters behave more unpredictably. They now change their routes more often, wait different times, look in different directions, etc. Hostile characters have an increased field of view as their alertness increases.
Update 1.14
Work on optimizing the game has been done. The game performance has been improved by 5-10% (depending on the location);
Added the possibility to load any completed chapter directly from the game menu;
In case of loss or corruption of save files, now they are periodically duplicated in the SavesBackUp folder in the game folder.
Slightly improved the quality of NPC fields of view.
Halloween challenge is now available only after completing 3 chapters of the story.

The game is now a little easier on the easy difficulty.
Slightly improved balance and fixed many different bugs.
Free game demo is now available for download on the game page.
Update 1.1 - The new Challenges mode is already available!
This major update adds the "Challenges" mode to the game. Here's something about it:
The mode so far includes three missions, which become available after completing chapters 1, 2, and 4 of the main story;
The missions take place in familiar locations, but have many changes and limitations (for example, on one of them you have to rob a mansion without breaking a single lock);
Each mission has an additional goal, for the completion of which is the reward. It can be obtained in the main plot of the game (in the closet in Jack's house). For example, one of these rewards is the "Bag of Ashes", we think you can guess its purpose without a description;
Added 3 new achievements.
Update 1.07
Added Chinese Simplified Localization. Thanks to qsefthuopq (Horace Pan).
Added localization to Hungarian language. Thanks to Brechler Zsolt (lostprophet.hu).
Added Polish localization. Thanks to Krzysztof Gmyr.
Fixed some minor bugs.
German and French localizations are still in machine translation form. We will be very grateful if someone can help us to edit them.
