March balance and content update!
Another goo update just went out. This update has tons of balance changes and bug fixes and even a few cool new features. Lets get right into it.
Balance changes
The area has been reset as many goos have been buffed or reworked. Firstly heres some nerdy stats brought to you by nerdy birdy
All Goos last Arena (expect intermediate goos like seed, tadpole & burning) Got some wins in the arena! Here are the one who had the most luck:
With all the recent buffs to fire goos in recent updates it seems to have paid off for the Flirx as it had the most luck in the arena with the highest win rate of all goos!
Most of the rest of the goos were pretty close in the middle of the pack, however there were some goos who fizzled out at the bottom!
Cha-boom even with its recent re-works only won in the arena ONCE since the last balance update (with around 15k matches happening since then, that's not a good look) We decided to give these goos a little bit of love in this update.
Bubble and Mooshy are both goos that come into play in the mid - late game. They used to be painfully slow at 3 speed so upping their speed to 4 and giving them a bit more attack and health should help them be able to catchup with some of the other goos at that stage of the game! As well Mooshy's Mushroom summons will be a little faster and have a little more attack!
Kite, Chomper, Yolki and Jacks all had buffs to their abilities buffed as their stats are not bad. Kite now will also give +5 ATK to Flying goos as well as Electrik goos after being hit. Jacks as well now gives 13 HP to fresh summons instead of the 10 it did before! (This will also help Mooshy be more viable when they are combined) Lastly Chomper and Yolki's abilities got better giving slightly more HP for both of their abilities.
And for the big bomb in the room, Cha-boom got a major buff and now starts with 40 HP (up from 30) , 20 ATK (up from 16) and also now starts with 1 Defense! So it will now have an easier time staying alive long enough to go off in later rounds!
Ease of Use updates!
We added a ton of community suggested 'ease of use' improvements to the game this update! You can now see the type and starting stats of goos in the Goopendium, as well we now have a special section in the item list for Items got from goos (bubble, sap, ect)
As well we have made it easier to join friend's private matches! Adding a 'join game' button below them if you have them on your friends list.
Ever been in a match and forgetting how many wins or losses you have at that point? Worry no more! as we now show your current run stats on the battle menu as well.
Lastly we have added a Global replays to the replays menu! It will show the most recent Arena wins and the Teams they have won with, Go here to gloat or try to get some ideas from Teams that are winning in the arena!
Final Thoughts and new update
The next update is going to be the biggest update in the history of the game! We will have over 20 new goos, 4 new goo types a new game mode and TONS of new content :) Thank you guys so much for the support that you have shown Goo Gladiators the past Year and a half the love and support you have shown these creatures means the world to me <3 I'll leave you with a sneak peek at someone who you will be seeing a lot of soon...

Content Update! Daily Quests, tons of improvements, Balance changes.
A new update is out with tons of new content! Lets get right into it.
Daily Quests
We have added daily quests! Every 24 hours you will be given two quests to complete that range from winning matches with a certain goo type or playing a private match! Completing Quests will reward you with Goolah and Experience.
New Background & Skin
We have added another background to celebrate the coming cold season. Its a little too cold for the Frobz so we also decided to give him a beanie to help keep them warm!
Quality of Life Improvements
There are now more ways to get Goolah! Getting awards and Ranking up will now award you with some extra Goolah. Extra goolah has been added to all accounts that got awards and level ups before this update :) As well completing the daily quests will give you Goolah and Experience.
We have also added a way to reset your password if you forget it in game! You can now recover it via your login email.

Content update: Electrik Goos & more!
New update! New goos, New background, some reworks and more! Lets get into it.
New Background.
We have only had two backgrounds since launch as such we added a new one (we will try to have a new one each update as well to add even more variety) This can be unlocked by anyone in the background area on the main menu!
Rework of 'reflect' attacks
Fire goos have really never risen to be relevant in the games Meta like I would have liked them too. As such they are getting a slight buff. The reflect abilities on Burning, Flirx, and Shoe goos would only ever drop a goo to 1 HP. It now can KO them! This should make them more dangerous as you can now take out enemies without even needing to attack them!
New Goos!
5 new goos to discover and play with! The Electrik Goos. Electrik goos center around doing effects to other goos when they are toched. That is pretty shocking if you ask me. All Electrik goos have a new type they target of 'fastest goo'. This can make for some interesting counters to fast teams.
Lets go over the new goos briefly and talk about their abilities...
Shocks:
The Base for all Electricity is a little spark. That is where Shocks comes in. They are a Round 1 Goo that will mutate into any of the 4 other Electrik Goos. Shocks by themselves can pack a punch too reflecting two damage on any goo that touches them.
Kite:
The Kite goo is a mid game goo meant for heavy Eletrik Goo teams. Whem hit it will give any other friendly Electrik goos 5 ATK!! Wowza
Eel:
Eel brings in another new mechanic of doing an action at the start of a battle! Eel will shock the entire enemy team for 2 points of damage at the start of the battle! This will help knock out anyone who is neglecting beefing up shields in the late game!
Robby:
If you leave shock goo to grow on its own it will turn into Robby! Robby has a secret Weapon, Whenever Robby's Shields break it will deal 200% whatever Robby's Attack is onto whoever hit them! This can insta KOa goo without shields fairly easily!
Hedgehog:
Lastly we have the Hedgehog! This is a great late game goo to help slow down the opponent. Hedgehog will set the speed of any goo that hits it to 3!! This can really slow down the enemy team so you can go lighting fast past them!
Final thoughts
Thank you guys so much for still having fun with Goo! We are still working on a mobile version that will be cross-play and cross-progression with the Steam version that *should* be out fairly soon. Spring Goos Content update!
Spring has sprung. With this we have 5 new goos and a ton of game improvements.
Performance improvements
Lets get the less exciting stuff out of the way first. As any current or old player would know the game takes a long time to even show up on your computer! Some people had to wait for over a minute before they saw anything show up. That is now been brought down to just a few seconds! On top of that the game now uses less than half of the memory it used before while running the game AND is half size it was before (its now less than 400mb from 1GB). Long story short the game runs a whole lot better now.
New goos!
Now for the fun stuff. We have 5 new goos joining the gang! (spring goos will go into free rotation this Saturday (7/1) so everyone will get to check them out.
Lets talk about about our new friends!
BOohuk
BOohuk brings some new mechanics to the table! Whenever any goo mutates he will gain +2 HP/ATK You can get him turn one with the new banana Item so you can start scaling BOohuk right away! He is mutated by the new held item Banana, When holding a banana any goo can benefit from gaining stats when mutating! This can stack with BOohuk's ability to really get things growing quick.
Acorn
A big focus with this update was to give Plant goos some more options to be on par with Water goo teams. Acorn can help plants with a buff of +1 Defense to all other plant goos! Acorn is very selfless though and only can provide protection to his friends and not himself.
Buggo
Buggo is the only Goo that you can't get from the base goo until Round 9! That is for good reason as they are a TANK, They gain +1 Defense after EACH attack. This can make them super annoying to kill if you don't have fast goos as they will keep protecting themselves!
Turnip
Keeping with the trend of empowering plants, We didn't have something to compete with Gramma on the plant side so we have added Turnip! Turnip like Gramma will gain +1 HP/ATK PER plant goo that is also on the team. Combo-ed with Acorn and you can get some strong plants pretty quickly!
Chomper
Lastly we have Chomper. They are an aggressive early game Plant goo. They will gain +5 HP whenever they are able to KO another Goo. This can really help your plants win some early game battles especially if they are getting buffs from the other new plant goos!
Other thoughts and future updates
Sorry for the long time between this update and the last update!! We originally planned for this to come out last month, however my harddrive with a ton of the content for this update died and I hadn't backed it up in awhile so we had to re-do a ton of the work. I have better backup practices now so this will be avoided in the future. As such we are inching closer to the mobile release of Goo Gladiators and plan to add a new Type of goo very soon, You might be SHOCKED to see them so soon..

Discovering the impossible: Cryptid Content Update!
A new goo update is here!!! Tons of new stuff, 10 New goos in the new Cryptid DLC, Improved goopendium, new Icons, a lifetime goo pass, 8 new Icons, and a new DLC in free rotation!
New Cryptid Goos
We have added a new goo DLC! The cryptid goos! The cryptid goos have a new unique way to mutate and unlock. There is a new goo for each type of goo! Using the new item of the 'Magnifier' You will get the cryptid of the corresponding type.
So for example using it on a plant goo would give you the Swamp Monster.
Or using it on an Ice goo would give you a Baby Yeti.
Lots of fun new mechanics have been added with each of these goos having unique abilities that will allow for some really fun new strategies. I'm super excited to see what teams you guys come up with :)
Improved Goopendium
Many of you have been asking for improvements to the Goopendium, Ask and you shall rececive!
The Goopendium on the main menu will now show you all Goos (even ones in DLCS not active or owned) To get a better idea of all the goos that are in the game! As well you can now hover over each of the goos to see what their ability is and who they attack! This will allow you to plan out a goo mutation plan with more information.
As well we have now added an 'Items tab' to the goopenidum! This will show you all the items in the game and what round they will appear on.
Goo Lifetime pass and other things
As we are getting to a lot of DLC goos with the Cryptid DLC being our 4th pack, we wanted to make it easier for the 'hardcore' goo players to not have to keep worrying about getting the new DLCS. Getting the lifetime pass will get you all current and future DLCS (We want to have a ton more)
Here is a sneak peek at one of the goos in the Next update once spring has fully sprung :)
In the meantime we will start shifting the 'free rotation' DLC monthly. This month we will start with the Eggcellent DLC and then rotate through each of the DLCS from there. So May will be the Spooky DLC -> June will be the Chilly DLC and July will be the Cryptid DLC and so on :) As well you can now turn off the the Free DLC if you with to just play with the base goo pack.
We have also added 8 new Icons!!! Each DLC now has its own icon attached to it as well we have added a few other new icons to unlock and show some flair
Finial Thoughts
We have been hard at work on this update, and a ton of feature that didn't make it into this update yet. On top of that we still are working on a mobile version that should be coming very soon. Winter Update! New Goos. Free DLC rotation & More.
The Winter update is here!!! 5 new goos have been added. 3 new items, New goo skins have been added. We have added a new 'free dlc pack' rotation, And of course we have some balance updates.
Free DLC pack rotation
Starting with this update we will start changing what goos are available to all players every couple of months by rotating between our three current DLC goo packs! We are starting of course with the winter pack so everyone can try out the new Ice type goos!
Winter goos
5 new goos have been added this update. All of them also have a new 'goo type' of ICE. Let's go over each of them briefly.
Chiloki
This early game goo likes to steal some extra things from the lab. Chiloki can be gotten by giving a scarf to a basic goo. They have pretty low starting stats, however they give you an extra item to pick from in your lab! This allows you to get items to get the right team earlier and easier!
Snofle
Snofle is a snowflake goo who likes to keep it cold. Snofle is another early game goo that will give friendly ice type goos +3 hp PER ROUND!!! There is a lot of potential for some big health Ice teams early on. Snofle will grow up into a bigger goo after 4 rounds...
Floaty
Like their previous form Floaty likes helping out other Ice goos. Floaty will protect ice goos from dying once! (like golem does currently to itself). They throw snowballs at other goos with their floating powers.
Ice Golo
A chilly version of the golem. Like their golem counterparts they are slow and tanky. However as they are made of solid ice they will slow down all enemy goos when ice golo faints!
Sheal
Lastly we have the latest game goo we have ever added! Sticking with the theme of slow and tanky that the Ice goos have Sheal has a large shield that they carry around and will use to protect their friends when they faint. They will give all friendly goos +5 defense before fainting!
Login bonus of Snowhat goo skin
Everyone who logs in in January/February will get an exclusive goo skin! Goo gotta stay warm with all these new ice goos running around.

As always we have adjusted a few of the goos to be more balanced and fit better with the ever evolving meta! All balance changes are based off of win rates of certain teams as well as hearing your feedback on frustrating and underperforming goos!

Spooky Season Update!! 1.8 New Goos, Private Matches, Goopendium & More
Hey guys! The first major update for Goo Gladiators is here and we have a TON of new content. I'll try to keep it short, but its a lot of stuff so feel free to skip around, anyways lets get into it.
Private Matches
Ever wanted to play against your friends in real time?? Now you can!! Private matches are here, with its first game mode: 'Last Goo Standing.' In this mode you go through a normal 'arena' build facing off against other teams in your match. As the name implies its a free for all with each player getting 5 losses before they are eliminated! This is a super new feature so please let me know if you have any weird issues with it or any feedback on how to make it even better.
Goopendium
BY FAR our most highly requested feature was to have some sort of in game guide for how to mutate the goos. Well now we have one, The Goopendium. Once you discover a goo it will appear here, You can view the Goopendium from the main menu or while in the goo labs.
New Spooky Goos!
We have a new spooky group of Goos to add to your team! Some spooky Halloween Goos!! As well as some new Goo Skins.
GoOoOo
GoOoOo has a unique mechanic where it can be mutated from ANY goo. If you poison any goo it will be sent to the afterlife in the form of GoOoOo. It will maintain any stats it kept in its old form and gain some new abilities... First, it only takes 1/2 damage on all things hitting it, however as the goo is a spirit it can no longer hold or use items!
Candance
Candance is ready to collect some candy! She gets HP whenever a friendly goo faints. The HP will be equal to the 1/2 ATK of any goo that faints. She can get pretty beefy if she is positioned smartly!
Stirkal
Stirkal is another Fire goo. Fire goos are all about Damage, as such Stirkal has a way to get a lot of ATK. Each time Stirkal attacks he increases his attack by 33%. (So if it had 9 ATK and hits something it will get +3 ATK after its first attack). If you manage to keep him alive he can get some pretty high attack values!
New Skins
We have also added some new goo skins. The witch hat is automatically unlocked if you get the spooky goos!
Gang Leaderboards
Want to be the best gang??? Now you can see what gangs have the most wins. Here are the current rankings at the time of this update coming out. Stay tuned for more gang features in the coming months!
Balance Changes
As this is the first balance update we have done since public release some things to note. #1: Our balance philosophy is buff weaker goos before nerfing stronger goos. #2: The leaderboards do not reset. #3: All goo Teams will reset (only goo teams made after this update will still be active).
If you just want to see the raw balance updates feel free to skip to the bottom of this post. Below I'll go into some of the bigger changes and the justifications behind them.
A big balance that affects a lot of goos is the changed 'hit by' mechanic. Any goos or items that would trigger 'when hit' now trigger when hit by more than just an attack (Ex: Shoe Goo's reflect).
Bubble and Cha-Boom by far have the lowest win rates of any goos. To fix this they both are getting reworks to make them more interesting to use and win with! Bubble still will hit enemies for 1/2 of ATK however instead of popping its ATK and HP will just be halved each time it attacks! That way you can get multiple attacks in with them. As well Cha-Boom won some more matches than Bubble it still was hard to win with. Cha-Boom now doesn't damage any other Fire goos and got a 33% increase in starting health to tank more hits before exploding.
Speaking of Fire goos, Fire goos are viable but still less effective than plants and water goos that scaled late game. As such Burning Goo and Flrix now reflect more damage onto their attacker. (25%-> 33% And 50% -> 75%) This paired with the damage changes and the Cha-Boom rework should make for some interesting team compositions!
Only one goo got a sizable nerf this update (see note #1) That is the Freddo the dragon. Freddo was very hard to beat once he started to knock out goos and get bigger. Freddo now gets +10 HP & ATK when knocking out an enemy instead of +15 HP/ATK/Defense. This should make his scaling less crazy.
We have reworked a ton of the held items to make them all have certain roles in certain builds. The Crown and Top Hat were by far the most used items. Crown now only gives +1/+1 on a win instead of +2/+2 and for an item that you could attach on round 2 it was a must have item at a +2/+2. As well sword/fedora/sunhat all give an extra +1 to each stat they modify!
Final Thoughts

Hey guys! We just pushed out a smaller update fixing some of the issues people have been having since launch and make things a little easier.
Sign-in Fixes
The most commonly encountered bug/ complaint was on signup not being able to paste in things! So we fixed that as well as added a button to add the @ symbol as some keyboards were not detecting people hitting the @ symbol on them.
Ease of Use Improvements
A lot of newer users were having trouble understanding how mutated vs held items were handled. So we have added some more text prompts when applying items to help make it more clear what is going on. As well as not allowing people to do silly things like giving a fish to a goo already holding a fish.
Final thoughts/ future things
Overall thank you guys so making the launch great so far! Over 500 people have tried out the game since it came out Thursday. We have a lot more planned for the game such as new Goos, new game modes and even more free content. Big update to prepare us for launch! There are new goos, new items and tons of Quality improvements.
NEW GOO!
The first of the unlockable Goo packs is out! It contains a ton of new Items and 10 new Goos. Some of my favorite goos are in this pack all with cool new strategies and ways to play.
Balance changes
The two most under utilized goos where by far the bubble goo and the Frob. As such both are getting pretty big buffs. The bubble goo now will only hit enemies instead of everyone. As well the bubble goo used to be quite difficult to get as you had to lose a bunch of matches to unlock them. Now you get them by using the 'bubble' item that is gotten through having 3 or more water goos on your team.
The Frob did not have nearly enough HP to be the tank it was intended to be. As such its starting HP has DOUBLED as well as doubling its starting defense. This should make the frob more of an attractive option in the mid game

Balance things
Bubble goo now only hits enemies
Fish item will no longer appear if you have 2 losses
Microscope moved from turn 9 to turn 7
Devil and Brumpor's abilities now stack with multiple of each
Sap/milk now scale with the amount of Moos/Frumptuns you have
Tears no longer mutate into bubble goo
Speed tiebreakers are now in place. Enemies got a lot of the random tiebreakers before, now if speed it tied its highest hp -> Highest attack -> highest defense
