Five new roles! Undertaker Duck - Has the ability to drag bodies. Can hide bodies in forbidden passageways. Adventurer Goose - Cannot be killed by environmental hazards. Ninja Duck - Can perform double kills, but don't accidentally kill a friend! Has 3x the normal cooldown, but refreshes their cooldown faster when hiding in the passageways Avenger Goose - Temporarily gains the ability to kill if they see someone get killed Identity Thief Duck - Takes the appearance of their victims.

As always, we hosted a giveaway, as well as covering what we've done recently like the Jungle Map , the konami code upside down April Fool's Day joke, our Canadian Game Awards nominations, and the first donation to the Donbass SOS Ukrainian humanitarian group.
In terms of future content, we talk about the five roles that we are releasing in this patch. We talk about the upcoming basement map, some of our design principles in map design. Lorewise, it's the basement of mallard manor, and as with all new maps will have its own unique mechanics! the simplification of our currency system and materials going forward, and the plushies we'll be selling soon!

04/03/2022 Developer Update!
We had our first ever developer update last week, and we plan on having more. It'll likely be once a month, although we might just switch to zoom or discord for convenience. We covered quite a bit, with the most pressing and important being that we added a cosmetic to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. We've generally been against adding flag cosmetics into the game, but we decided to make an exception here. All the proceeds we make from purchases of the cosmetic will go towards https://www.donbasssos.org/ , a local humanitarian organization in Ukraine that focuses on helping Ukrainian citizens displaced by the conflict in the Donbass region. A quick refresher on what we have done recently, which included the Demolitionist and Dueling Dodo roles. The core friend system was implemented, with additional functionality coming soon. You'll be able to request to join a friend's game, as well as the ability to block
Our next update that should be coming soon will contain the new Jungle themed map, which will have new mechanics and new map-specific roles. We have a comic detailing some of the backstory and lore as well of peetato and pootato.
We also gave a sneak peek of the Desert themed map we have planned after the Jungle theme as well as a new fishing lobby area
Other things we talked about adding soon are the ability to link accounts, our moving of game logic to servers to have faster games and to eliminate the ability to cheat, the addition of unique and tradeable cosmetics, and new achievements and player cards, and a general Q&A. We capped it off with a giveaway of the new St Patrick's Day cosmetics.

1.08 FRIENDS LIST + Dueling Dodos!
v1.09 - New friend system added! You will be able to add friends and invite them to games. Pick your Friend ID carefully. - Overhauled UI. The buttons on mobile have been shifted around as well. - New Dueling Dodos! Instead of one dodo, you have two competing to be sole dodo. When they finish their fake tasks, they will gain the ability to kill the other dodo. If the other Dodo is dead, they will win when voted out. - The Snoop now gets enhanced vision and listening range while hiding - The range of the Birdwatcher's vision now expands when using their ability - New hiding spot in Mallard Manor! Find it, and figure out what happens when someone interacts with the task while you're hiding.

1.08 Kaboom
New Demolitionist Duck! They plant bombs on other players. The bombs automatically activate after a period of time, and will explode after a timer counts down. Pass the bomb to someone else before its too late!
Upgrade to the Gravy goose! Gravy goose has gotten greedier and more cowardly. If someone tries to kill the gravy goose, they will hide behind anyone else in the area.

New Party Duck! This duck gives players a high pitched voice during meetings. He's like the silencer, but twice as cool.

Server upgrades
We upgraded our servers. Some people joining games created before the migration started may experience the inability to use voice chat. Once the hosts and players restart their application newly created lobbies will be fully on our new servers. Sorry for the inconvenience but please trust us, this is for the greater good of GGD and it should make games more stable and faster for the majority of our players.

v1.06 Lounge and Spectator Mode release!
A big update with more things to come soon!
The Lounge. A new place to make friends, chat and hang out. It has private rooms and a card game currently, and we plan on having more activities in it like minigames and karaoke in the future. The host of a public lounge can migrate the lobby to a private game.
Spectator mode. The long awaited spectator mode! You can now join games in progress as a spectator. You'll also be able to switch to spectator mode in a lobby, as well as after you die in game. Note that Geese will have to finish their tasks to spectate.
Celebrity Goose. A goose that lets other geese know when they die. Ducks and Neutrals will not be alerted.
