We have made some additional fixes and improvements to the game, mostly stability and quality of life fixes. Here is the list of changes:
Fixed an issue that happened when the movement controls were set to the arrow keys and this caused movement to abruptly halt for some strange reason. Now when this happens, you can just press any other key and everything will work as intended.
We have added an additional startup option to the game: Vulkan mode, which should fix some weird compatibility issues with mainly AMD video cards.
Fine-tuned the controller dead zone setting.
We fixed a strange crash that could happen when interacting with the football.
Some materials were too dark and are now fixed.
Some localization fixes.

Hello everyone!
We made a couple of small, quality of life updates to the game, here is what changed:
Added a button to skip the football game, now you can just pick up the horseshoe. So it is now possible to 100% the game without completing this challange.
Added a numeric indicator to the Admiral's croquet puzzle to show the order of completion.
Upgraded the game to the latest Unreal Engine version, this should make everything run a little smoother.
We also remade how the highlight system works, now the effect itself looks much better! Plus, an indicator tells you the distance to the highlighted object.

Hello everyone!
We are back with another update to the game, there have been a lot of small improvements over the past few months, which have all added up to this patch. So without further ado:
The Japanese translations has been meticolously reworked, which essentially means a complete overhaul of all the descriptions and story elements in the game. We really hope that our Japanese players will enjoy this qualitative leap!
We have upgraded the engine version of the game to the latest Unreal Engine version, which should bring some additional performance improvements.
We also recently added the option to launch the game in DirectX 11 mode, which should help older systems run the game better.
We have made several small changes to the look and feel of the game:
Completely remade glass materials, with several different variations for furniture, windows or lamps.
We have changed the amount and behaviour of fog on the island, you should be able to see better, and the overall "greyness" you could feel in the garden areas should be greatly reduced.
Some wooden surfaces have been re-coloured or improved.
In low light settings, you should see less fog colour overlay.
We have disabled the player's default depth of field effect. This means that the blurriness you experienced when looking at distant objects without zooming is gone.
We are steadily working towards the console releases of the game, first on Playstation and Xbox and hopefully on the Nintendo Switch 2 as well in the future.
Of course, for our Steam users, we will include any upgrades and features that we develop for these systems.

Hello everyone!
We have made some minor improvements to the game, taking your feedback into account. Here is the list of changes:
Loading in the game is now handled differently, resulting in much less RAM usage. This makes it possible to run the game with less RAM, and also reduces loading times.
Every faucet in the mansion can now fill the pot with water, even the bathtubs!
Checkpoint location shenanigans have also been fixed. You will no longer be reset to the shore checkpoint instead of the one closest to your location.
Additional proofreading and localisation improvements have been made
A small pot icon has been added under the painting puzzle in the dining room to indicate that the key to the kitchen can be found there.

Hello everyone!
We are happy to announce that we are back with another update, this time with several new features and improvements. So without furder ado, here is the list of changes:
Gordian Rooms 2 is now fully Steam Deck compatible. We made several changes so that it gets the Verified badge.
Steam Trading cards, Profile features and additional Steam Community items are here! With someone's favourite cabbage as the main focus. :gord2smile: :gord2heart: :gord2cry: :gord2cool: :gord2clown: :gord2angry: :gord2sus: :gord2wow:
We have made significant changes under the hood and as a result the game should run smoother, we have seen an increase of 15-25 FPS on average on the Isle of Lye.
Thanks to the great efforts of WNM the game's Russian translation has been overhauled!
We also went through the German, French and Hungarian translations so they should see small improvements too, your feedback was also included.
We fine tuned some puzzle descriptions and corrected some typos in the English version as well.
Controls have recieved some upgrades too, the gamepad thumbstick controls movement speed much better. Now slower, more intricate movement is possible.
Additionaly there is a Dead zone setting for gamepad users, which changes the sensitivity of the thumbstick. You can use this to fine tune how fast you move and look around.
From now on, the default graphics settings are set to low, to make sure that the game won't run into any problems. Plus, we disabled head bobbing by default as well. You can change these settings instantenously from the options menu.
We added a RESET button for the Dining room slider puzzle. If you find this one difficult to solve, you can check this video for some clues: https://youtu.be/1HEAa1vqTVI?feature=shared&t=188 You can decrease the playback speed on Youtube if you find the video too fast.

We are back with another small update, largely based on your feedback. Here is what changed:
Improved the controller controls for the scrollbar in the inventory
Added a dead zone setting for the controllers, so you can change how sensitive the thumb sticks are
Improved how the cursor mode works with controllers
Steam Achievements are now localized in all languages, previously only the in game system had this feature
For the Inspector/Zoomer achievement now you only need to zoom in completely a 100 times
Improved the french description of the pIpER MAIL puzzle
Fixed some minor graphical issues

Hello everyone!
In this update we have fine tuned the Highlight mode, introduced in the previous patch. (Press Left-ALT to activate it by default) Now it will only display a maximum of 10 items and only those that you can pick up at some point.
We also improved how the percentage figure display works, now it should track everything more precisely.
There was a correct solution for the House of inspiration that is now accepted and you can open a window with it.
Fixed a problem with a steam achievement description. We will add localized Steam achievements tomorrow, till then you can read thorugh them in the in game menu.
Fixed an issue with not being able to pick up some shoes in the Workshop storage.

Hello everyone!
We have made some additional changes to the game based on your feedback.
Added a Highlight mode, you can activate it by pressing Left-Alt, by default. When you do so all items that you can pick up will be highlighted with a flashing white circle for a couple of seconds.
Please note that if you have a lot of items that you didn't pick up in a certain area this effect may get overwhelming. The primary use of this feature is for locating items that you didn't find on your first or second inspection of an area. How frequently you make use of this feature is up to your preferences.
We added the option to toggle always displaying the mouse cursor, so you wouldn't need to make an extra click once you are in the menus.
We fixed an issue of not being able to pick up the horseshoe, once you have completed the Mask collection puzzle. Now youi can do so.
Fixed a small issue of an infinite supply of crowbars.
Fixed the issue of the football gate lights not remaining On after scoring a goal.
Fixed some minor graphical issues

Hello everyone!
We hope you are enjoying Gordian Rooms 2. Based on your feedback we have added and changed few details in the game:
Toggleable Crouch
Toggleable Running
Increased FOV maximum
Added an extra hint for the shoreline shell puzzle
Made it a little bit easier to move some rocks on the shore
Fixed some minor graphical details
Also, you can turn off the camera up-down movement effect during walking or running. The option is called Head bobbing, it is also a toggle.
