Gori just got back from an AWESOME trip to Tokyo where we celebrated the Eastern physical release of Gori: Cuddly Carnage at TGS!
Thankfully, the Adorable Army wasn't present to cause mischief with the attendees, instead all the unicorn slaying was contained to our booth (Which looked suitably badass - Look how big that banner is!)
It was great to meet so many of our fans - and watch all the carnage unfold, so thank you to anyone that came over to say hi and play the game. If you weren't able to attend though, DON'T WORRY - Gori will still be popping up in a couple of places before the year is out!
Gori Art Competition
Our art competition is coming to a close today! For everyone that submitted an entry to our socials - thank you - it has been so humbling seeing you pour your talent into your creations and showing our characters in your own styles.
We'll be looking over entries this week and picking a winner soon to announce - as well as sharing a showcase blog of everyone who entered. If you missed this one keep your eyes peeled, we'll be doing many more in the near future for those who like creating from scratch, and those who prefer getting hands on virtual photography style. Which leads us onto...
Upcoming Patch
We have a patch scheduled for what SHOULD be Wednesday - that contains a few bug fixes, and some new features for the photo mode based on your feedback (We'll keep the specifics a surprise for now :3)
We'll also be launching Steam Community assets and Trading Cards at the same time for those of you that like spending those delicious steam coins - and who wouldn't want Gori on a card?!
Keep an eye out for the blog on Wednesday with full features!
But Wait, There's More!
That isn't the only exciting news coming up though - we are sworn to secrecy at the moment, but October is going to be a VERY exciting month for Gori, with something kind of radical that we hope gives you another reason to dive in and fill the Adorable Army with *dread*
Anyway, that's all for now - thank you for all your patience, your feedback, your hype, and your bug reports. Don't forget to leave (honest!) reviews if you've played the game, take lots of pictures and share on our socials, and tell your friends about the game - those unicorns aint gonna slay themselves!
The Making of Gori: Episode 3 - Independent Learning
Hello again everyone!
We are hard at work on making a couple of very cool updates we'll be able to talk about in the coming weeks - and can't wait to share with you!
But in the meantime, here's the final part of the making of Gori series, where the demons talk about meeting at school, working on their first project, the necessity to learn new skills to survive and a little something called a global pandemic - all whilst learning to operate with eachother, and how critiquing and conflict get used to shape games in a constructive manner!
We hope you've enjoyed a little look behind the scenes of how Gori came to life, it's very strange seeing something that has taken up years of the developers lives condensed into short video format - but it's been great to share these stories with you, and celebrate our love of cuddly carnage (and cats, both IRL and digital!)
As mentioned, we've got some very exciting news soon - we'll be continuing with another round of patches and bug fixes very soon (once again, thank you for all your input and reports!) So keep your eyes on the news posts for updates! And as always, thank you for playing, and for sharing with your friends.
Last week we started our new series covering the making of Gori Cuddly Carnage, and sharing how a little team from Sweden turned their trade from atmospheric eldritch horrors - into a neon cat and slash adventure!
The latest episode just dropped, where the team discuss how they came up with the characters of Gori, Frank and CH1-P as well as fine tuning their big, bold personalities.
Learn more about how we created the years best soundtrack in a game about slaying unicorns, and how we gave voice to the game’s colourful characters in Episode 2!
Meanwhile. the Gori Launch Discount is now over, thank you to EVERYONE who picked up the game over the past two weeks, we appreciate it more than you know! The base game may be back up to full price now, but you can still save BIG with bundles, including new skins to help you slay in STYLE, the bone shaking OST, and a 69 page artbook - so anyone who hasn't got their paws on Gori yet can still save big!
Finally, thank you once again for your continued feedback and bug reports. The team is hard at work getting the next patch tested - and we're excited to reveal a couple of new features in the very near future - with one that we're sure the virtual photographers out there will love....
Hey everyone, wow - it has been nearly 2 weeks since launch already - time does fly when you're massacring unicorns doesn't it!
We're very busy at the moment smashing bugs, getting updates prepped, and collecting all of your feedback - but we thought we'd take a moment to share with you a little bit about us, and how Gori Cuddly Carnage came to be!
Earlier this year (what feels like a lifetime ago now!) We held a preview event at a Cat Cafe in London, very highly recommended by the way - those places ROCK. And during the event, shared a few stories about how Angry Demon became a studio, and Gori sprung from our previous games horror background.
We've got a few of these to share in the coming weeks, but for now - take a break from the unicorn slaughter, and enjoy episode one!
As an aside - we'd like to say thank you once more. The reception to Gori has been absolutely amazing, and we're overjoyed that you love him as much as we did creating him!
For every screenshot, piece of fan art (yes we've seen you in the furry subreddit), and stream - you make our days even brighter. Please keep the bug reports coming, your praise, your criticisms, and don't forget to share your creations with us on socials and discord - it might sound odd, but every little piece of people talking about the game helps an indie studio out more than you know
Thank you so much for the overwhelming support on the recent launch of Gori: Cuddly Carnage, we really appreciate every review and piece of feedback we received from last week!
