Rusty's Retirement is an idle-farming simulator designed to sit at the bottom of your screen allowing you to work on other tasks while caring for your farm!
Following the main events of Haiku the Robot, our beloved traveler, Rusty has been set with the task of repopulating the earth with biological life. Join him and other characters from the main game.
Grow crops: Plant crops and watch Rusty get to work as he waters, nurtures, and harvests. Unlock new crops as you progress, from crispy carrots to ripe tomatoes.
Produce biofuel: Use crops to produce clean and energy-efficient biofuel, a vital robot power source. Sell biofuel to other machine inhabitants and reinvest the money into expanding your farm.
Automate with robots: Deploy a team of cute little robots to assist with planting, watering, and harvesting. Customize and upgrade your helper bots to increase efficiency.
Multitasking: Rusty's Retirement is built to sit comfortably at the bottom of your screen allowing you to do other tasks while caring for your farm. Zoom in or out for a less distracting view, or alternatively turn on 'Focus Mode' which slows down crop production.
Ultra-wide screen support: The game is designed to fit all screens, from normal laptop-size to ultra-wide monitor screens. Toggle 'Always on top' if you never want to lose sight of your farm's progress.
And map percentage completion bug on Corrupt mode.
Moved the corrupt health marker from the elevator shaft found in the Last Bunker to the trash shute nearby.
The mini reactor core that is freed from Elegy's hidden room now leads you to a secret area in Old Arcadia.
Build 1.1.5.1 hotfixes
Some quick fixes:
The 4th Rusty Key will appear in Slate's room once you have defeated at least one of the Creators. Previously you could only pick it up between the first and second Creator, now you can pick it up anytime after defeating the first Creator.
Fixed the audio track for Pinions Expanse.
Elegy's Account in the sewer area now appears correctly in the Corrupt Mode.
Can't fix: Missing savefiles. There are two bugs here:
Savefiles look empty but they are not. Once you load the savefile, and save again, they appear correctly in the main menu. Check the savefiles directory to be sure: Windows: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\MisterMorrisGames\Haiku Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MisterMorrisGames/Haiku
Savefiles have indeed been deleted. If that is the case, I apologize for not implementing Cloud Saves sooner, and I have put together a 76% savefile which you can download from here - I know it's not ideal but I hope it helps.

A friend of mine has just released their Metroidvania Lone Fungus from EA!
It features a huge world, tons of abilities, challenging platforming sections, and lots of boss fights - it even has a assist mode for those who prefer a more relaxed experience - check it out below!
If you own Haiku the Robot in your Steam library, you will gain special access to a hidden skin! You can take Haiku on another adventure, but this time through a magic mushroom kingdom ːHappyHaikuː
Pixelated Metroidvanias Bundle
We have also teamed up to offer you a "Complete the set" bundle, so if you are missing either game, you can purchase it through the bundle with a 20% discount.
And if you don't own either game, well now is a great time to get both games with a nice discount!
I'm happy to share that I'm currently working on a (much requested) Boss Rush update where you will be able to face off with all the bosses in a suped-up gauntlet style mode. This update will also bring other improvements to the game such as; refined lore, added visuals, and a new area - exciting!
Haiku won "Best Solo-dev Game" and "Hidden Gem" at the Digital Vikings Awards
I'm proud to announce that Haiku the Robot won two awards at the Digital Vikings Awards ceremony in Gdańsk, Poland!
The game was nominated in three categories and won Best Solo-dev Game and Hidden Gem.
To celebrate, the game is on a 30% discount between March 1 - March 8 ːorange_heartː
I want to give a huge thank you to the organizers, judges, and to everyone who has supported the game!
Build 1.1.4
Some minor life improvements for the Corrupt Mode:
Added map markers for the temporary health pickups.
Added 4 new temporary health pickups worldwide (closer to certain boss fights).
After much consideration, I have decided to remove the two Steam achievements related to the new Corrupt Mode. Many players felt that their sense of accomplishment for completing the base game was taken away when their 100% ribbon disappeared. To avoid this feeling in the future, all additional/optional achievements will now be accessible through the in-game "Achievements" menu located in the Settings.
Thank you for your continuous support and Happy New Year! ːorange_heartː

Additional comments:
Haiku may not appear under your Perfect Games list until you trigger another Steam achievement (this can be from any game). Steam will update your list of Perfect Games when an event like this is triggered.
The two Corrupt Mode achievements are still in the game, they have only been removed from Steam's end.
New Corrupt Mode now available!
Corrupt Mode is now available for download on both Steam and the Nintendo Switch!
A new challenging game mode that offers an entirely new experience to playthroughs! Explore an alternative timeline of Arcadia with a storyline twist - Haiku is the virus.
With the virus now flowing through your circuit board, you are more vulnerable with only one health point - if you die, you will respawn at the last unlocked repair station.
Temporary health upgrades are also available to help you overcome some of the more difficult challenges in the game. Additionally, the core game has two new train stations; one in the most requested Central Core, and one in the Sunken Wastes.
Note: Corrupt mode unlocks after completing the core game.
The upgrade station found in the Central Core now lets you purchase both upgrades. Previously, players would have to reload the game to purchase the other upgrade.
Minor improvements to the heat detection system - mainly regarding when the heat gauge refreshes between entering and exiting heated/normal rooms.
Added three new map tiles that won't affect completion percentage but will still be missing from the map, so you'll have to find them!
Deadzone slider to help with any joystick drift or overly sensitive joysticks.
Achievements can now be viewed in-game (especially beneficial on Switch).
And lastly, the memorial of our beloved speedrunner Schy can be found in secret location within the Last Bunker - only if you get there before their best time of 22m.24s.75
As always, thank you for your continued support, and happy holidays! ːorange_heartː
