Weekly Playtest/Event: June 10th @ 10p EST/2a UTC: New Mode/Free Keys & More

Event Details


We'll be starting at 10pm EST / 2a UTC on the US-Mid Official Server and voice chat on http://discord.gg/playhanako
First time players will get a free key from us to give to a friend to join future events. You must have a key and play to be eligible for another key.

We will be trying out a whole bunch of new level mechanics, a new mode on a "tear-off" of one of our other maps to start working towards a better Castle Raid (formerly Assassination) mode.
Testing Initiatives/Patch Items
- Major updates to Castle Raid prototype map we'll be testing a lot of.
- Major AI improvements and AI difficulty increases to all modes/maps.
- Updates to combat hit feedback and FX to make hits more clear.
- Updated attacks on the Naginatashi.
- Some minor UI/UX improvements to the in-game HUD
- Gameplay changes to some abilities to have better FX.
- Naginatashi pole vault now does a knockback and small amount of damage.
- Fix for major/frequent client crash relating to status effects.
- Ite armor reduced from 40 to 20.

- Fixes for AI pathing on Gifu Crossroads.

- Testing new gate breach mechanic.
- Better UX flow and UI design for the new team select and class select screens.
- New hit reaction FX, feedback to make it easier to tell when you hit enemies.

  • Loading screens have been re-done to have dynamic/localizable text.
  • We're experimenting with side-objectives to see how they play.
  • A variety of systems have been refactored to work better.

Tonight at 2a UTC/10p EST we will be playing the game and testing the changes from EAv.4.01. We'll pbe playing on US-Mid Official server. Make sure to join us on http://discord.gg/playhanako

First time participants will receive 1 free key to give to a friend and have the game for keeps, for good. The more people we get in the servers the more we can test and find issues to make the final patch even better!

Testing Changes



- Testing out revealing the next objective during the 30s timer on village modes.
- New UI/menus with controller support (still A WIP for some areas of the game).
- Changes to how Ite abilities work under the hood, should be more reliable.
- Various audio improvements/updates.

Testing Changes


- 30 seconds between capture points instead of 20
- Change "attack" to "destroy" for objectives in alerts for clarity
- Remove "crouch" portion from tutorial and allowing it to be bound
- Fix can stepon/physics launching far into the sky
- Lumbershack AI pathing fix that trapped bots.
- Fix for bot team color mixups and minimap blip mixups being the wrong team/showing friendlies as enemies or opposite.
- Performance fix for Gifu Crossroads relating to lights.
- Fix for the katana blade being invisible during certain attacks randomly.

Hotfix: EAv.4.01 - Small bug fixes, balance tweaks and usability improvements.
