In continuation of the previous patch, the engine has been improved especially the management of character's animations.
The 3D model of the characters has been reworked to take advantage of the new functionality of the engine.
Animations now uses significantly less CPU resources while it is played and updated.
The use of RAM memory has also been reduced.

Optimization
This week a very important part of the engine has been reworked.
This part concerns the management and display of 3D models.
These changes are intended to improve performance and add more flexibility to the development of the game.
After modifying the engine, all windows displaying objects in 3D have to be reworked. This task has been long and tedious but it's finally done!
Performance
According to my tests, the performances have practically doubled each time!
Due to the large number of changes in the interface, perhaps some bugs persist, if you noticed something that are not displayed correctly,
you can report it here in the comment section or directly on the community HUB accessible via Steam, it will be fix as soon as possible
Interface
The 3D thumbnails and the assembly view have been updated to a perspective instead orthographic view.
The store now has a rotating preview.

From now modded WaterCooling kit will have to fulfill some requirements to be accepted by the game.
A new window will appear on the title screen if you have subscribed to non-compatible mods.
The mode manager will now show the incompatible mod in red and label them with "[ERROR]" in front of their name.

Cables
The new algorithm for cables is finally ready!
Before this patch, cables's models was integrated to the components. They were immovable and impossible to change in the game.
Now they will be generated dynamically during the game.
For the moment the new algorithm will not change much for the player except for the computer's esthetics, but it will allow me to add new features much easier in the future.
Hard drives and optical drives will now also have power cables.
Content
Several CPU cooler with new 3D models and optical drives has been added.
Other small improvement has been made to Coolers (see summary list bellow)
Notification
The notification system has been improve to prevent the player to be spamed with too many identical message, in case of repeated click.
Performance
Performance during translation and text writing has been improved.
Explorer
winDOOR. can run its own programs but some time bug happens... in this case you will get a winDOOR's blue screen instead of a game crash.

As in the previous patch, more high quality animations have been added!
Interface
A new interface for tutorials and mission proposals has been implemented with animated models and better readability of objectives!
The build mission requirements are now sorted and displayed by group.
A search bar has been added in the network interface and the downloads folder for easier navigation in the explorer
I noticed that many players did not know how the talent tree worked and began to click everywhere before realizing that the 1st talent was on the left. So I added a more visible animation to differentiate the locked skill from others.

Cars and walkers will now move more smoothly
Balancing
The mission reward in reputation and experience has been slightly modified to best reflect the difficulty of the mission.
The performance of Optical Drives have been rebalanced.

A new camera mode has been added. The perspective view is now the default view of the game.
If you want to keep the previous view it remains available in the game's graphical option.
Animations
The 3D models of characters has been improved and all their animations reworked.
14 new high quality animation is now available!
Tutorial
The tutorial has been improved. From now the tips will appear on the right of the screen. Click on the bulbs to open the tips.
3 new pages were added to describe the inspection in simulation mode, download center, drivers, NAS and networks.
Interface
The brand of components will now appears in the tooltips's cells.
Colors of some brands has been changed to improve readability.
Translation
The entire settings screen is now translatable.

This week a I worked on the game's artworks. Some of you have already noticed the graphics charter change on the shop page and on steam in general.
Everything has been updated to match the new version of the game.
I also have the pleasure to announce you that a demo version of Hardware Engineers is being validated by Steam. It should be available in the next days!
It took me a lot of time, and I could not worked much on the game itself. but I still have many things for you!
Demo
I think a demo version can be a good way to increase the popularity of a game and make it discovered by more people without revealing too much!
The demo limitation will be:
limited number of components, decorations and furniture(~30% of the content available).
Only five mods subscription at a time
Level max at four instead of ten
Rules customization limited to easy mode
Overclocking, benchmark score, steam achievements and editors disabled
Improvement
Blank DVD will now appears in shop's equipment section
When mouse over a computer under the desk you can now hold CTRL to get the full tooltips.
Balancing
Build mission will have less performance requirement in general.
The Upgrade mission(purple) and Build mission(pink) amount has been slightly reduce. In return Buy mission(white) and Order mission(blue) has been increased.
Showcases effectiveness has been increased

Mission
New type of mission!
Customers will now be able to ask for a complete computer with certain budget and exigencies.
Customers will choose a combination of prerequisites among the 22 new to create unique mission scenario.
Offline Mode
Offline mode is now supported ! From now you should be able to play Hardware Engineers in offline mode at any time!
If Hardware Engineers is already installed on your computer, makes sure to start it at least one time in online mode to enable the offline mode.
For a fresh installation the offline mode will be enabled automatically.
Modding
New requirements about consumption has been added to modded components.
To improve the gaming experience with mod created by the community certain rules have been added to the editor and the loading process.
It will no longer be possible to upload a mod that does not respect these standards.
Mods already available that do not meet these standards will be ignored when loading.
The new rules
PSU must be at least 100W.
NAS must be at least 20W.
Every components with no power consumption will be ignored (except for case, disk, vrd, blueprint)
If you are not sure that your mod meets all the standards, I recommend you to update them by following this guide:[HowTo] Update your mods
Interface

Mission
The window that's used for complete a mission has been reworked.
From now only the bad checks will be showed.
When canceling a repair mission, the customers will give you back the components that it does not belong to them.
Modding
Steamworks libraries and codes has been updated to match the new Steam'SDK.
Modded components have now requirements.
The rules:
Processor need at least one cooling slot
Motherboard need at least one processor, graphics card and Memory slot
Case need at least one motherboard, power supply and Hard drive slot
NAS need at least one Hard Drive slot
It will no longer possible to upload components that does not respect these rules.
Every mod already online that break these rules will be ignored during loading.
