The demo of Necro Story, our next game, is available!
Hi, brave healers!
Big news from Rablo Games’ team today! The demo of our next game, Necro Story, has just been made available on Steam!
Necro Story is a light-hearted RPG, just like Healer's Quest, but here you play as a powerful and (kind of) evil Necromancer. You cast powerful spells, raise armies of skeletons, sign Dark Pacts and capture dead enemies' souls to take control of them.
You can try it right now from the Necro Story Steam page. Don’t forget to wishlist the full game while you’re on it. :)
We’re super excited that this moment has finally arrived, and we’re looking forward to reading all your feedback! Feel free to let us know what you think of the game in the Steam forums or on our Discord server. It will help us make the game better! As far as the final game is concerned, we still have some polishing to do and are planning to release it in September 2024.
It’s been a long road to get to this point and we really hope you’ll have a great time playing the demo of Necro Story!
Thank you for your support!

5th Anniversary!
Greetings, healers!
Today is Healer’s Quest’s 5th anniversary! I just wanted to thank you all for playing the game and being here. I hope you enjoyed your time with Tanky, Grumpy, Beauty and Murky, and that they weren’t too hard on you. If they did, blame them, not me! :)
As for the future, I'm currently working hard on Necro Story, my next title. This time I'm working with my friend Baptiste. We hope to have the game be part of the next Steam Next Fest, so it shouldn't be long before you can put your hands on a demo carefully crafted with love.
The Halloween Crypt is said to be the most haunted place in the world, and it opened its door (forever) in this Halloween update. Are you ready to discover this new place, and to help Beauty getting over his ghostophobia?
Decription of changes: - Added the Halloween Crypt in the second part of the world. - Updated the title screen for Halloween (time-limited). - The healer is now wearing a black hat (time-limited).
- Minor spoilers incoming -
Where to find the Halloween's Crypt? In the second part of the world map, in the South part of the Forest in which you can find Ancestral Castle, just above a shop.
What to expect from the Halloween's Crypt? 5 new story scenes 3 new normal combats 1 new boss 2 Magic Stars as a reward for beating the boss
Thanks for reading and I hope you'll like this update!
Take care,
Pablo
Third anniversary update
Hello everyone,
A few days ago, Healer's Quest turned 3! Happy anniversary! \o/
This is the opportunity to update the game with a new quality of life feature: you can now change the difficulty, and adjust custom rules during the course of a game. You don't need to start a new game anymore to change these options.
Just access the option screen available on the worldmap menu or on the menu before the combat. In the bottom left part of the option screen you'll find an option to change the difficulty. Clicking on it will send you to the difficulty selection screen, from which you can access the custom rules screen. Choose your new difficulty and eventually select or deselect custom rules, and you'll then be back to your game.
In addition to that, the update also comes with a few typos correction in French and German.
Thanks a lot for your support and take care,
Pablo
World Health Day update: Introducing Custom Rules
Hi everyone,
I hope you are well and healthy in these times. As you may know, April 7th is the World Health Day. More than ever this means a lot to us. It’s the right time to pay homage to the people taking care of our health in real life… and in video games. :)
So today I present you the World Health Day patch for Healer’s Quest!
What’s new? When I created Healer’s Quest, I really wanted to make a game where your decisions matter. So my orginial plan was to not implement a way to reset your skill trees. I ultimately changed my mind and added a way to do that at one given place of the game, and the process was quite expensive on purpose.
Well, I know all of us don’t enjoy video games the same way, and many of you have been asking for a more convenient way to reset all the skill trees. Yet I didn’t want to betray my original vision of the game. So I tried to find a solution to allow more people to enjoy the game, and decided to add Custom Rules on the difficulty selection screen.
By accessing the Custom Rules screen, you can choose any number of bonus amongst 4 available.
1. Special abilities of all allies will deal 2x the bonus damage. For example Tanky will have +16 bonus damage instead of +8 when he has more than 85% life. 2. All allies have +25% chances to resist abnormal statuses. 3. Pressing the “Cancel last upgrade” button on the Spell Upgrade screen will reset all Magic Stars (skill points) instead of just canceling the last ugrade. 4. You have +1 mana recovery per second
Of course I still suggest you don’t use them if you want the Healer’s Quest experience as it was originally designed, but the options are there if you want to play with them.
Have fun, and most importantly, stay safe !

Healer's Quest update 1.1 - Expert Mode added
Hello, dear healers!
Update 1.1 is live on Steam! This includes ground breaking changes, like the addition of the Expert Mode which allows you to play with 5 different spells instead of 4!
Patch notes 1.1.00
The EXPERT MODE has been added. You can now play Healer’s Quest with 5 spells in your spellbar instead of 4. But watch out because enemies are tougher in Expert Mode. The Classic Mode with 4 spell slots is of course still available. I also tried to make Healer’s Quest more children-friendly by adding an option to censor the swearings and a very easy mode. Finally, there are new rewards when completing the game, bug fixes and balance tweaks. See below for all the details.
New features:
Added the Expert Mode : play with 5 spells in your spellbar instead of 4! Ennemis are tougher in Expert Mode.
Added a “Very Easy” difficulty level
Added an option to censor the (moderate) swearings (English and French only)
Upon completing the game in normal or higher difficulty, you unlock two new voice actors for the announcements (fight, victory, defeat, etc.): Pablo Coma (myself, solo dev of the game and voice actor of the male healer) and Christelle Frédérick (voice actress of the female healer)
---
Balancing:
Bless mana cost: 18 → 15 mana
Shield mana cost: 18 → 15 mana
Strength mana cost: 18 → 15 mana
Taunt cooldown reduced by 2 seconds
Cost for redispatching magic stars divided by 2
---
Bug fixes:
Jumping using the keyboard now correctly gets rid of the Mana Leach abnormal status.
Taunt cooldown was 2 seconds longer than announced by the game
I hope you’ll have fun with Healer’s Quest v1.1! :)

3 new languages added
Greetings, healers!
Healer’s Quest already released 1 year ago, and I’m thrilled that so many people played it and loved it!
Today, with the help of several translators, I’m adding 3 new languages to the game! I worked closely with all of them to ensure the translation is as close as possible to the original languages (French and English). So you can now fully play Healer’s Quest in Portuguese, German and Spanish!
For the Portuguese translation, I have to thank Catherine Meira, which contacted me nearly one year ago and translated the complete game alone. The game’s more than 50,000 words so that’s really an achievement!
The German version is courtesy of Hans Roesler and Henrik Huber. Hans originally was a Kickstarter backer of the game who proposed to translate it for me. A few months in, Henrik continued and finalized the German translation.
Last but not least, Kevin Gil managed to translate the whole game in Spanish.
Many thanks to my distributor, Plug-In Digital, for their help in finalizing the German and Spanish translation.
Have fun and don’t hesitate to give me feedback on the new languages!
New spell upgrade!
This update adds a new spell upgrade for the spell Immune. When selected, this upgrade makes you pay 4x the mana cost of the base spell when all your allies are alive, but casts Immune on your whole team.
I think this upgrade is an important "quality of life" boost for players who use or plan to use Immune as a way to counter abnormal statuses.
Patch notes V.1.0.25
Minor bug fixes
The walking speed on the world map has been slightly increased
Prepared the code for a bigger update in the next few weeks
Spell balance patch (v1.0.18)
Greeting, healers!
Healer’s Quest released about 2 month ago, and many of you sent me feedback about what they thought about the spells balance. It’s now clear that some spells received more love from the players than others, and some of them are seen as poor choices. As the game is widely considered to be on the hard side, it make sense to leave the powerful spell as they are, and give some love to some of the weakest (or less used) ones.
The following balance patch has been made to give more relevant options to the players, hopefully making new builds viable in the highest difficulties.
I’m looking forward to your feedback, so please don’t hesitate to tell me your thoughts in the forum.
Enjoy healing!
Speed The base mana cost per second is reduced by 2 points (10 →8).
The mana cost upgrades have been modified accordingly, further reducing it to 6 and 4 instead of 8 and 6.
The increase of the heat gauge while using Speed is now only 65% of the old value. This means Speed will take longer to become less efficient, and “Burnout” will happen much less often.
Heal First line Base mana cost reduced by 1 point (8 → 7)
Base healing increased by 1 HP (9 → 10)
It is now clear in the description that if one of the front line allies is dead, the ally behind him will benefit from the healing (which was already the case before the update but was not mentioned).
Immune Base mana cost reduced by 2 points (6 → 4 mana)
Taunt Base mana cost reduced by 8 points (20 → 12 mana)
Shield Base mana cost reduced by 2 points: 20 → 18 mana
Mana cost upgrades now reduce it to 15 and 12 instead of 17 and 14.
Bless Base mana cost reduced by 2 points (20 → 18)
The mana cost reduction upgrade now put Bless’ mana cost to 8 instead of 10.
Strength All passives which boost the critical strike chances now give +4% instead of +3%.
Maximum amount of bonus critical strikes chances is now +25% instead of +20%
The passive which boosts Super Move damage now gives them +33% damage instead of +25%. The sorcerer’s Super move now correctly benefits from this damage boost.
Heal The boost upgrades now give +7 HP when a boost is performed instead of +5 HP
The secret upgrade for which you need to upgrade Boon now gives +12 mana instead of +10 when a boost is performed
