Three weeks have passed since Healer’s Quest released, and I wanted to give a big shoutout to all players! Thanks a lot for your feedback, cheers and kind words.
I took me 4 years to create the game, and I’m glad so many people are finally enjoying it right now! It’s always daunting to present our work to an audience, but the 90% positive reviews you gave to Healer’s Quest is sure something huge to me! And we’re only missing 6 reviews to hopefully reach the “very positive” score!
As far as updates go, I guess most important bugs are already fixed. I also slightly tweaked the game’s difficulty at some points where it was necessary, especially close to the end of the game. There is a couple small or very situational bugs remaining, which will be fixed as soon as possible. I’m also working on a system to let you move your saved games from a computer to another, so that’s something that should happen in the following weeks.
Thank you everyone for playing the game! Special thumbs up to players who created a guide, or beat the game, sometimes in the very hard or even impossible difficulty mode!

- When retrying a combat against the guards, you could sometimes be teleported directly into the prison without any dialogs playing.
- In “Impossible” difficulty, Tanky and Grumpy are now fully healed at the beginning of the third level, so that it’s actually possible to beat the tutorial.
- When retrying the first level where the sorcerer is fighting, he is correctly back to max HP.
Patch notes 1.0.08
- In the Crypt, there was a bug when moving with the keyboard while the quest panel was displayed.

- Bribing a given fight in the end game made the game to soft lock.

- It’s not possible to bribe one of the secret boss anymore. (It wasn’t actually working, but you were still losing the gold).
- When finding the book in Classical Dungeon, the second dialog choice of the evil karma was not behaving correctly.
- Allies fallen during the combat of the boss of the second dungeon correctly gain no XP on the win screen of this combat.
- Changed the French description of the Rat Ring to make it clearer.
- Blue rats have slightly less chances to deal a special attack and when performing a special attack, the base damage is slightly reduced.
- The first Mid-Boss has slightly reduced damage on his double attack.
- After the combats in the shortcuts of Classical Dungeon, the character is at the right place on the world map.
- Tanky was gaining too many gold pieces when killing an enemy with the second hit of his Super Move.
- Added a sound when going back to the title screen from the loading screen.

- When opening a given chest in the middle game, another chest of the early game couldn’t be opened anymore.
- The font is now correct when asking for confirmation before erasing a game.
- Mashing the spell Meditate will make the healer to only say “Meditate” once, instead of stacking.
- Pressing the white flag button multiple times will not make the screen turn black anymore.
- All secret spells correctly stop Meditate’s effect.
Patch Notes v1.0.05
- Fixed a bug where a given combat didn’t start.
- Fixed a bug where some end game achievement could only be unlocked in “Good” karma. They can now correctly be unlocked in any karma.
- When defeating a given boss, if Murky is casting, he correctly switches to idle pose.
- The font is now correctly set in the credits.
- The “Bribe” option is not displayed anymore during challenges (it was already deactivated, but visible).
- When getting out of the dark forest near the end of the game, the correct World Map theme is now played.
- Fixed a bug with health bars in a given Boss Fight when reviving a party member.
- If any menu is accessed before the healer’s duel, the Sorcerer’s text balloon is not in front of a health gauge anymore.
Patch notes v1.0.04
- Bribing the guards in prison will now bring you to the correct level instead of the world map.
- When finishing the game with 100% completion, the percentage of completion is correctly set to 100% instead of 98%
- If you fled from the last boss encounter in the 5th dungeon, there was a gap in the storyline after beating it.
Patch notes 1.0.03
- The bug of the second inn crashing the game sometimes when re-entering it should be fixed.
- In the very unlikely case the second inn is still buggy, you can now press ESC to exit it when the bug happens.
Note: I have good hopes that this fix “cures” existing games that encountered the problem, but I can’t guarantee it. At least it shouldn’t happen in new games.
- Fixed a rare similar bug at the entrance of the first dungeon.
Patch notes 1.0.02
This update contains slight balance changes, along with some bug fixes.
- Vampires have slightly reduced chances to deal the “Vampirism” abnormal status
- When vampires cast the necromancy spell, the additional base damage is reduced. (The necromancy spell and its damages are unchanged)
- The base damage dealt by succubusses is slightly reduced.
- One of the attacks of the second boss of the 5th dungeon deals slightly less damage.
- Time between random encounters increased by 0.5 seconds on the world map. They are slightly less frequent.
- When fleeing from a fight on the world map, the time before the next encounter is now increased by 2 second.
- When bribing enemies on the world map, the time before the next encounter is now increased by 4 seconds.
Bugs:
- Fixed a rare bug where sometimes Tanky wasn’t appearing on the win screen anymore.
- A few spell upgrades allowed you to upgrade them multiple times, which basically made you waste magical stars.
- When bribing the guards, you were sometimes not redirected to the correct part of the world map.
- Implemented a fix for a bug which could occur when visiting the second inn multiple times.
- Fixed a bug with portraits in the shops near the end of the game.
- Dialog choices have now a lighter color when not hovered, to make it more obvious that it isn’t a basic dialog.
- Corrected some English typos.
