Dev Update

Update to Unreal Engine 5 is in public testing phase and will likely migrate to main release around the end of July.

*New Features

Mod.Io has replaced the Steam Workshop systems, this means creators will need to register a Mod.Io account to upload items.
This move fix's some underlying stability issues and opens up additional features for the future.


Avatar creation pipeline has been simplified and streamlined, now most of the things the user needs to do is right click on their mesh to create the required assets and put in bone names.


Animation sharing system for Avatars which simplifies the creation system and allows for applying avatars to any rig, can be used for situations like dance worlds or overriding animations when performing actions.


New Desktop animation system which allows for a more interesting and immersive desktop experience.
Characters have more natural animations including turn in place, start stops, reactions etc.

Improved third person camera that can switch between over the shoulder or loose camera by double tapping or holding V.


Nanite and Lumen are available for Desktop ONLY. VR users will see a fallback mesh for Nanite(assuming creator adds one.) Lumen does not work in VR.
Users will be warned if using a item that does not support their platform, such as a VR user trying to use a avatar or map that does not support VR.

Steam Workshop Issues

Steam Workshop is experiencing technical issues leading to public avatar and world lists being empty or low count.
Direct downloads still work

We are currently in contact with Steam to resolve the issue, will post another announcement when the issue is resolved.

2.0 IK Update

The new 2.0 IK is released, rebuilt from the ground up with a focus on accuracy that allows for an impressive range of motion along with more natural behavior and compatibility with characters of various sizes



Update also includes various fix's to scaling and UI



Next focus is migrating to Unreal 5 and switching to Mod.io rather than steam workshop.
This will resolve several underlying issues with stability and bring additional design freedom.

Added feet stepping to 2.0 IK.
Improved 2.0 IK leg behavior for smaller characters.
Fixed grabbing but in VR where the item would be dropped when releasing grip despite the grip tags defining that it should be held until next press of grip.
Allowed TickTok videos to be played through emoji menu

  • Improvements to 2.0 IK for characters with 2 spine bones, no more strange head stretching.
  • Invites open to public.
  • UI interaction for desktop changed to using mouse position rather than looking around, opening menu will show cursor and lock view. View can still be moved by holding and dragging the mouse button with the menu open.
  • Desktop notifications for Invites.
  • Using custom Gifs open to public but limited to Tenor or Giphy, does not support MP4.
