Today we want to share with you some "background-history" of Hellbound 🤓
The screenshots you will find below are from a game called DooM-PlatforM, a 2D version of the classic #DOOM (1993) which I created during highschool (between about 2001 and 2005).
It was made using DIV 2 and Fenix, and ofcourse also using the resources of the oginal DOOM (sprites, sound effects and music).
The game is available for free on its official website, but you need DOS Box to run it, since it was made for Windows XP:
DooM-PlatforM was an important project for me, since it was one of the first I finised from start to end.
But it was also the game that allowed me to enter in the industry of video game development in 2007.
And the most curious thing is that the company interested in it was none other than NGD Studios, who a decade later became the publishers of our ow game Hellbound (inspired by the 90s FPS classics like DOOM) (y)
The game I made DooM-PlatforM has a Single Player Campaign with 4 leves, but also another 4 levels of Multiplayer with shared screen and inputs (not for network).
But it also includes a Level Editor for the Multiplayer levels. So you can create your own maps, load them and fight againts your friends or even againts a basic AI from the game.
And yes, you can download all of that from this page. But again, you will need DOS Box to run it ;)

Version Update v0.18.09
Hello once again guys! How's your weekend?
Today we have another quick update here (v0.18.09) 👍
Since we're mostly focused on the Single Player Campaign right now, we're not being able to improve the Survival Mode that much.
But at least we want to keep it updated in bug fixes and general improvements for you (below is the list with the details) 🤓

HELLo! How's it going?!
Today we can finally reveal that our friends and colleagues at NGD Studios will be the publishers of the Single Player Campaign of Hellbound 😈
If you never heard about them, this guys have been in the video game industry for more than 16 years now. They're by far the most experienced in our country (Argentina).
We know eachother for more than a decade and we have a lot of professional respect from both sides 👍
My first job in the industry was for them in 2007. And since then, my career has grown non stop 🤓
That's why we're more than happy to be working with this people. Not only as publisher, but also as consultants and outsourcers of all we need for the project 😉
We're going to contact our awesome backers very soon to start building The Heroes' Cemetery!

Version Update v0.18.08
Hello lovely creatures from Hell! How are you? 😈
To finish August, we have just made another quick update of the Survival Mode for you (v0.18.08) 😎
It includes a new key code for quick select the previous used weapon, no more infinite ammo for the main weapon (yeah, 100% old school) and some fixes and improvements 🤘
