Today we have a new update for Hellbound (v1.0.3), which includes a lot of fixes and improvements based on your awesome feedback! You can see the entire changelog below 👇

And we want to take this opportunity to thank our friends at 3ogs (Pablo and Mauricio Navajas), who have been helping us fixing most of the bugs here. You guys rock!




Among other stuff, we finally finished creating (and adding to the game) the full body statues of our amazing backers from Kickstarter and from our official website 🙌

This is a task we have been doing for the last year and a half. You sent us your idea, we conceptualized it (Fernando Muzzio), then created the final 3D version (by Juan Caratino), and finally added to the game.

All the statues are located inside the level 3 of the campaign: "The Heroes' Cemetery". Some of them are on the surface, others at the coliseum (survival sector), and the rest can only be found in secret rooms...

CHANGELOG HELLBOUND v1.0.3

New Features:
- Quick save (F5) and quick load (F9)
- Show current stats (Kills, Items and Secrets) on the top-right of the screen during missions

Tweaks and Improvements:
- Weapon Simple Shotgun now only shoots by clicking (no more holding down)
- All full body statues of backers created and added to The Heroes' Cemetery
- Winning a separated level from the Campaign now goes to the Tally screen with the scores (instead of returning to the main menu)
- Finishing a separated mission (Levels from Campaign or Stages from Survival) now lets you replay, choose another one, and see rankings
- Death and winning states flow made quicker and more polished
- All visuals and audio from menu-windows improved
- Showing current ranking after ended match (level, difficulty and type)
- Secrets detection tweaked at levels The Resistance, Dead Forest and City of Fury

Bug Fixes:
- FOV resets everytime game reloads
- Save files drastically increased in size in some specific cases, making levels imposible to load
- Rankings from campaign levels were showing incorrect results
- Rankings from survival stages were not showing current player row on the bottom
- Game crashed when picking up first-time-weapons during saved-games on version v1.0.1
- Pressing Escape during interval screens (tally) was blocking the game
- When playing on HELLMARE! you kept loosing health during interval screens
- Sound effect for sand storm at survival stage Fury Road was playing during loading screen

On October 22 we'll be publishing our first game created by another studio, in this case by one single guy: Andrés Borghi 👍

We have been working with Andrés in the previous years for the creation of promotional videos for our games Doorways and Hellbound. But in this case, we'll be publishing his own creation called The Black Heart ːdoorways_heartː

October, the month of Halloween, has just begun with all the darkness, creatures and blood... So we have some creepy news during this month for you at Saibot Studios 👻

We're currently working on v1.0.3 update for Hellbound, including a lot of fixes and improvements based on your awesome feedback. So hopefully we'll get it live during next week 🤘

Infernal creatures! How have you been? 😈

We have been working on fixes and improvements for the game since the release, and today we finally have the first patch in v1.0.2 🤘

There're still things to fix; but we're going to keep working on that, so don't worry!

Most of things for this update are fixes and improvements based on your awesome feedback. Among other things, we added a pop-up message every time you found a secret (CLICK FOR GIF):

CHANGELOG HELLBOUND v1.0.2

New Features:
- "Secret Revealed!" pop-up after each secret is discovered, with current amount and total

Tweaks and Improvements:
- Checkpoints added in all campaign levels (not only at Key pickups)
- Autorun is now ON as default (based on majority community voting)
- Karnal hit points reduced from 45-45 to 35-25 (attack with jump - attack in place)
- Difficulty Old School and HELLMARE! increased
- Difficulty HELLMARE! is now the last one with -1 of health per second, until 25
- Power Ups over screen visual effect lowered down for better game recognition
- Audio feedback everytime time you pick up a new weapon ("Triple Shotgun!")
- Level "The Resistance": adjusted secret area detection box at final room
- Level "The Core": cinematic audios integred with Hellgore's voice
- Updated backers content at credits and tombs: The Big Wall, Headstones and Busts

Bug Fixes:
- Keybindings were not working on Main Menu
- Secrets were not being detected after loading a saved game
- Crouching during autorun was moving with run-speed, instead of crouch-speed
- In some cases after playing the campaing, weapons and ammo stay in inventory at survival stages
- Level "The Resistance": Vladers were getting stuck inside secret corridor at final room
- Level "The Heroes' Cemetery": enemies were getting thru red key fence
- Level "City of Fury": door to red key and final gate (fence) were able to be open manually
- Level "City of Fury": sand storm not showing on borders after loading a saved game
- Level "Endless Hive": enemies alive above red-elevator stay floating when calling elevator
- Level "The Core": Ferlord's presentation trigger area was skippable with a jump (outisde map fall)
- Level "The Core": framedrops during final battle with Ferlord

Autorun ON by Default? 🤔

We're currently working on fixes and improvements based on all the awesome feedback you have been sending us. Hope we have solid news on that on next week 🤘

So we want to ask you something...



Some of you had troubles with the first jumps in the game, and it was because you were not running using Shift. In order to make it "old-school style", we didn't add any kind of tutorial over screen to let you know about that controls. So to keep that spirit, we're thinking about turning the Autorun option ON BY DEFAULT.

What do you guys think? It won't change anything to you, since you already have the game. But it will make the difference to newcomers. You can answer right here in the comments or voting at this other post on Facebook, Twitter or Discord (#dev-updates)

Post-Release QUICK Update! 🏃‍♂️

Hey everybody in Hell! How's it going?! 😈

We're analyzing all the great feedback you guys are giving us, so we can organize the tasks and then see what we can fix and improve ✍️



We are well aware of the critiques that have to do with the duration of the campaign.

About that, we can tell you that our idea from the beginning was to make an intense experience that feels like the classic FPSs but putting our full dedication to visuals, audio, and gameplay.That resulted in a few, but SUPER AWESOME, levels that can be completed quickly (even more so because of the pace of the game).

Making more levels was a possibility but that would have resulted in a lower quality experience, and we didn't want that at all.

All in all, be sure that we're reorganizing things and analyzing how everything moves on from this point forward. We’ll be updating you on that soon enough 😉
