Patch 1.1.7 just went live. It contains a series of minor improvements, some of which include:
Friendly Neighbor behavior improvements
Corrected some lighting issues
Improvements in sounds, animations, and physics
"I Had No Choice" achievement now works properly
Reporting bugs, save corruptions, or crashes
We're reading every single thread on the forum and were able to fix many issues thanks to your help. If you've encountered an issue, it will greatly help us to get your save file & PC specs.
Your save file is located at ..\users\username\AppData\Local\HelloNeighbor\SaveGames
Please send this information to support@dynamicpixels.com alongside a brief description of the problem.
Modkit update
We just finished testing an updated modkit of Hello Neighbor. It has been reworked to include pretty much all of the final game's content, and we even added a few templates that allow you to start building levels on. The only missing piece right now is to get a standalone client to load mods. That's what we're working on now. I will post a separate update when the new modkit is available in the Unreal Launcher.

PS if you're using RivaTuner, it might be causing a crash in Unreal Engine 4.18 (which we recently moved to). A simple temporary fix is to remove the software.
Patch 1.1.6 is live

Happy holidays everyone! Patch 1.1.6 just went live, here's the changelog:
Streamlined some puzzle designs with more intuitive hints
Added a new cutscene into Act 3
Fixed an achievements bug regarding some fear rooms
Fixed an issue that could happen with falling umbrellas during that one scene (no spoilers)
More improvements to cutscenes
Fixed a problem with the inventory being unresponsive after cutscenes

Patch 1.1.5: changelog
Happy holidays everyone! Today we bring you Patch 1.1.5 and here are the changes:
Added a new menu at the start. You can now restart acts or start a new game if you have save issues. You can also select acts.
Slight tweaks to the maps - level design, lighting, visual cues for puzzles
Steam achievements are now working correctly
Fixed a problem where static shadows wouldn't appear for trees
Improved overall performance and stability
Optimized the lighting
Update on rare save corruption issues:
We were getting odd corruption bugs for saves, and found what was causing them. If you stack a bunch of traps for example, they start snapping to each other. If during this physics chaos the game tries to save, the physics crash and corrupt it.
So if you do something like this:
Odds are the save will corrupt. We're working on a solution. Good news though is that you can now restart from the main menu.
Expect another update on Tuesday with a focus towards the modkit.
HelloMods Competition Winners Announced!
The HelloMods competition has come to an end, and it's time to announce the winners!
We'll be working on updating the modkit after a few more patches. Expect the full game content to be in the modkit, and the ability to launch them in a standalone client.
Patch 1.1.4: Game engine update
Hi everyone! Patch 1.1.4 just went live with the major change being a new version of Unreal Engine 4. We went from 4.17 to 4.18 which should improve stability & performance across the board, as well as prevent physics issues.
You will also see more items scattered around the maps.

Patch 1.1.2 is live. Changelog:
Physics changes and improvements. Objects shouldn't be flying and rolling around endlessly. This also gives a performance increase.

Some objects have been redesigned

We're currently hard at work at rare save corruption issues that are also the cause of loading screen freezes.
Patch 1.1 live: changelog
Hi everyone, we're aware some of you are experiencing stability issues and are hard at work at patches. If you're posting a bug report, please don't forget to include your specs, including screen resolution. This helps us a lot.
Fixed issue with screen flickering and VR pop-ups when connected to a VR headset.
Added an easy ("friendly") mode for Neighbor, available in settings
Added captured animations
Note: on some ultra-wide screens, the game might flicker. A temporary fix is to force your monitor into 1920x1080 before starting up the game.
This is what was safe to release this morning. Currently working on fixing:
A bug where the Neighbor can catch you through walls and is able to throw objects
Random lag spikes and crashes, especially in act 2
General stability and freezes during loading times
A bug that causes save corruption
Proper Windowed modes (you can now use F11 or alt+enter for Windowed)
Neighbor getting stuck in some frequent places
