We recently slowed down on regular updates. This is because we’ve been working full-time on bringing HERO DEFENSE to Xbox One and Playstation 4.
We are getting closer to the console release, and can honestly say that the experience playing on a big screen with controller is quite outstanding.
We’re delighted to announce that we’ve reached an agreement with our friends at Headup Games to move the development of HERO DEFENSE to this new direction.
Most importantly, Headup Games strongly believe in our HERO DEFENSE vision in our conversations since our first Greenlight announcement. Their support and experience has helped to realize HERO DEFENSE’s console development.
Due to our new partnership and the console release plans, we are temporarily disabling new Steam purchases during the transition period.
What does this mean for HERO DEFENSE on Steam? Well, here’s the plan:
Relaunch on Steam in 2017 with the Xbox One and PS4 release
Attract an expanded audience with the new Steam edition
If you already have HD on Steam, you will also get Continued support and updates.
Multiplayer will be removed for the new version. We haven’t sustained a large enough player-base to offer a strong multiplayer experience
Multiplayer may be re-introduced at a later stage if the new edition attracts enough players

Multiplayer Achievements
Happy Tuesday!
After some deliberation and gaining input from the community, we've decided to turn off most multiplayer achievements. Currently, there are not too many active players in PvP, making it very hard to gather all the achievements.
The only PvP achievement that is going to stay active is "First Blood - Win 1 PvP match" - we believe that should be obtainable by finding some friends to play with :)

Patch 1.4.2 - New Endless Maps
Todays patch adds 2 additional endless maps to the game:
The Cobweb Forest let's you do battle against the nefarious Queen of the Hive and her neverending onslaught of spiders.
In the Undead Necropolis you'll fight endless hordes of skeletons against a jaw dropping background.

Update 1.4.1: The DLC stays!
Good news! Everybody loved our free Halloween DLC a lot, so we have decided to keep it in the game.
The campaign will now unlock after Count Necrosis was defeated for the first time. Additionally, you will find new difficulties and new map challenges in the campaign.
The insane difficulty is a challenge even for the most hardcore players.
Finally it's Halloween! Celebrate together with us. Collect candy, smash some pumpkins and encounter the Ghost of Halloween.

Sam’s Pumpkin Soup
Happy Tuesday!
It’s that time of year when we start wrapping up warm with scarves and hats, playing tricks on our friends and making… pumpkin soup.
To get you in the mood for a #HauntedHalloween, Sam Hain shares her top secret Pumpkin Soup recipe with us. Featuring a blend of Cinnamon and Nutmeg, this simple soup will put a smile on your face and may even help you to defeat Count Necrosis.
Now, stand back or burn with the corpses!
Ingredients
Pumpkin
Onion
Carrot
3 Cloves Garlic
1 Spoon Cinnamon
1 Spoon Nutmeg
1 liter hot vegetable stock
Olive Oil
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180°C
Cut the pumpkin in half, remove seeds and chop into wedges
Place on a large baking tray and drizzle over a bit of olive oil
Sprinkle cinnamon, nutmeg and salt over the pumpkin
Roast the pumpkin for 1 hour until slightly caramelized
Roughly chop the onion, garlic and carrot
Heat some olive oil over a medium heat in a large saucepan
Add the vegetables and cook for 15 minutes until soft and sweet
When the pumpkin is ready, add to the pan with hot stock & water
Blend or use a stick blender until you reach your desired consistency
