Brave Hand is OUT NOW on Steam! Replayable Card Game Fun
Brave Hand just launched, and it’s now available on Steam! Brave Hand is my award-winning press-your-luck meets solitaire card game, and it's finally ready for you to play. It’s releasing for just $1.79 ($1.99 with a 10% launch discount), and includes achievements, leaderboards, and Steam Trading Cards. The game features 4 endlessly replayable modes, including a brand-new “Zen Mode.” In the game, you use the cards in your hand to challenge cards in 8 piles, and decide whether to press on challenging the same pile for exponential increase in points, or to stop and bank what you have. With randomized decks, pile complete bonuses, and special card rules to explore, you’ll find yourself playing over and over again. As you play, you unlock an epic story via 16 storybook pages. The pages double as customizable theme decks and backgrounds.
You can expect Brave Hand to be a small, highly-replayable, solitaire-style card game where your goal is to beat your previous score, and unlock a light story along the way. I made it because I loved the simple yet replayable games that came with my first computer, and wanted something like them, but with just a little more strategy.
If the main "Brave" mode is too hard or too random for your taste, you can try out the other modes! Boost Mode adds up to 3 legendary golden cards to your deck. The longer Jumbo Mode has 8 cards per pile and an epic 90 card deck. Finally, Zen Mode makes it easier to progress by letting you win ties and giving you more cards in your hand. Each mode is designed to cater to a specific type of playstyle and give you endless ways to play.

Scare Pack Update for Hero Generations is live! (v1.21)
The free "Scare Pack" game update is now live for Hero Generations! This update brings a host of Halloween themed changes and a significant number of community requested bug fixes (Station issues, new resolution support, and more). We hope you enjoy it!
Major Change List
Swamp towns can become haunted! Haunted towns become "Ghost Towns" and have ghost/skeleton mates. You'll have to figure out which buildings and items can help you unhaunt them.
Swamp boss can haunt towns.
Introducing world events! Volcanoes now appear in your current world on certain strikes of the obelisk clock. Can only have 1 volcano in a given world. Volcanoes will replace forest or sand nodes.
Bone item. Attracts boss monsters when held, and also adds +1 to damage.
Scimitar item. Weapon with bonus attack in Desert areas.
All side view scenes have polished stone backing art in place of the existing white background.
City view has a new roll-over UI that shows it's tribute type and cultural traits that Mate's will have. (hover over city title bar to view)
Volcano world is made visible from the start of the game on mini-map to give players a clear long term incentive to explore the overworld.
For a limited time, all of our store banner images changed to be Halloween themed.

Bug Fixes & Other Changes
New sideview stone backing art can be toggled off when "special effects" setting is set to off.
Added support for 1680x1050 resolution.
1600x900 and 1680x1050 resolutions have better sidebar art!
Fixed crash when starting new game in 800x640 mode.
Fixed bug where tickets associated with already linked stations could linger.
Station tickets associated with a connected station now get destroyed properly. (This should also help fix or reduce any instances of your held items getting replaced by tickets)
Fixed bug where pop-up "Enter" button at bottom of screen would stay up when moving from a town next to a border passage into the next world.
Fixed a few instances of bugs that would cause buildings to disappear when leaving then returning to a world.
Now save minor "in-turn" changes like dropping and picking up items to help with syncing saved data in many edge case situations.
NOTE: Some of the game features and bug fixes will not retroactively update on existing saves, but some will. Start a new game if a part of this update does not seem to be present.

October Update Sneak Preview!
I'm excited to reveal the next game update coming to Hero Generations, and it's scary good :)
The "Scare Pack" update is planned to release sometime in October, and it will again be FREE for all existing players! The update will feature a host of new items, buildings, events, and bug fixes. Here are a few highlights from the planned feature list:
-Ghost Towns invade the Swamp! Towns can become haunted, and that can have an interesting effect on the mates you'll find...
-End Game: the volcano demon will make its presence felt a bit more throughout the game.
-Tons of new weapons and special items.
-Town Screen and UI polish. Gone are the large white areas and less polished looking aspects of the UI in larger resolutions. Notice the stone pattern in the preview screenshot, for example.
-A number of community reported bugs will be addressed.

Hero Generations Update: Full Screen Mode is Here!
I'm excited to say a new Hero Generations update just went live that adds everyone's most requested feature: full screen mode! Download the latest update (v1.20), then visit the main menu settings screen to set your resolution and toggle full screen mode on. I've also added support for 3 additional resolutions (1280x800, 1440x900, and 1366x768), but let me know if your resolution of choice isn't there and I'll add it in a future update.
