CHANGE - 35% increase in backpack and garbage bags spawned on Dead Island.
ADDED - An extra 300 food plants will be spawed exclusively on Dead Island. These will respawn as one is pick up in random locations. In multiplayer/co-op carbs early on was very limited, this should help a lot.

Changes & Additions:
The addition of co-op multiplayer to this build. Player are able to host games and play with steam friends but dedicated servers will follow at a later time. Multiplayer games will be limited to a survival co-op mode to start with (no PVP or quests).
Updated the environment with a new look. Added birch, pine trees, new grass and foliage. The setting is no longer a tropical one but has more of a northern America feel to it. Forests are much more dense and realistic looking.
Addition of fog and cloud cover. Fog and bad weather looking condition can now randomly occur and any time of day and can last up to 24 game hours. This is the first step to weather conditions being added in future updates, we would like to incorporate rain, snow etc.
We have made some changes to the environment. Removal of some islands and addition of some others. A snow biome has been added to the main level and no longer a separate map.

Experimental V5.01 (Multiplayer and more)
Hi everyone,
Experimental V5.01 is now available in a beta branch. To access it, right click the game in your Steam library and hit properties. There you will find a BETAS tab, select Experimental V5.01 and launch your game as usual. Once everything is debugged and adjusted/balanced, we will deploy it to the public branch.
This version should feel more survival like, reducing the amount of animals, loots and food has made things a bit more challenging as well. No new quests have been added in this version but starting over will almost feel like a different game. With new items, recipes, visual etc. We will be making the addition of quest a priority after this update is out and live.
A new game will be required, all older saved games will not work. Please report all bugs, comments and suggestions via the “Bugs/Fixes Thread” here on Steam.

V4.01 is Live

ADDED - Female Lions, they are very fast and you will not out run them. However, they will only spawn on the map after day 10. Lions will attack you when standing on a base foundation, unlike Wolves and Bears that will retreat. (Build walls to protect yourself)
ADDED - Crocodiles, very slow but inflicts lots of damage and high HP. They will only spawn on the map after day 10.
ADDED - Environment Temperature, players can get a heatstroke (Over 45°C) if too hot and hypothermia (Under 15°C) if too cold. With the addition of the new snow biome, it seemed to make sense to add this.
ADDED - 2 new equipment slots for clothing. Players can now equip armor/gear and clothing for temperature control. You will also notice a new Heat stat in the equipment window. That value determines how much heat/insulation your clothing gives.
ADDED – New Fishing System. Players can now fish from the fishing boat to acquire raw fish and craft various items from it.
