The Scoobtober Community Contest was eye-opening! 👀
We were absolutely thrilled with everything that happened during the Scoobtober Community Contest. What an amazing performance by the winners - completely changing how we, the developers, and presumably the future competitors look at the possibilities in Sandbox Mode!
The key to this breakthrough? Motion sensor and pressure plate mechanics! The most creative of players connected these newly introduced tools with some older tricks, creating houses that don’t just look outstanding, but also present you with a solid amount of surprising gameplay and interactive storytelling elements.
Xmas is here, and Lenovo Legion is wearing the Santa outfit! 🎅
The new Community Contest arrives with a Xmas punch! Your mission is simple: pick your favourite movie scene and recreate it in-game… but absolutely drenched in festive vibes! Snow, tinsel, fairy lights, gingerbread mayhem - if it screams Xmas, WE WANT IT! ☃️🎁
And if your favourite scene is already from a Xmas movie? Ah, Perfect! Just crank that festivity knob even higher. Go over the top. Then go a little further! 🎄

Improved gamepad controls (including the Snow Editing Tool in Sandbox Mode)
Multiple controller button fixes and improvements – including proper handling of the snow editing tool in Sandbox Mode.
People living in suburban environments now turn their lights on at night (they’ve finally found the switch).
After consulting lunar experts, we made the Moon look more natural.
The save cleanup system (triggered when you’re running low on space) now shows more elements available for deletion.
Available storage bar in mod.io screen now actually shows available space left for mods.
[UI] Unpacking boxes now shows how many items remain inside, so you can manage your furnishing better!
[UI] Improved the indicator dot that marks newly discovered gameplay elements (like new jobs).

And now, the time has come once again… The third House Flipper Invitational is about to begin! We had some serious fun! That contest was something else though, I have to admit that we felt like this theme would be very problematic to design around. You guys outdid yourselves with surprising ideas and wonderfully crafted houses! The judging process was a bit prolonged, as we had to not only consider the visuals but actually play through the projects to understand what we're looking at. It's insane to see this kind of creativity level
Congrats to not only the winners, but to everyone who attempted to work with such an unusual theme:
We present the winning projects in no particular order this time:
- Resistance is Futile by Tari43 We loved to see the usage of our new keys mechanic. It was a lot of fun to unravel the secrets of the mysterious cube! It was a bit tricky, interesting, and visually pleasing. Great job!
- Land of the Lotus Eaters by WPWW Dreamy! The visuals of this project capture the feeling of a dream so well! The usage of various mechanics required to progress is impressive! Make sure to look at your quests when attempting this one!
- House of the Radiator by Super_Kupo So funny! Feels like a pun on a pun. Whoever goes through this project joins the radiator cult automatically! So gooood!
- Cartoon - Coloring Book by Sph1nxy Oh my! So lovely, so unique, we've never seen something like it. The house is not big, but you can spend a long time admiring all the little black and white details. Incredible!
- A crocodiles tale by RoooseGarden Mr and Mrs Croc invited us to their wedding, and it was a blast! Surprising visuals, funny challenges, lots of hard work! We loved it!
