So you may have noticed that our previous roadmap (which you can look at here!) expired along with the end of last month!
That means that for the recent couple of weeks, we have been planning things out and gathering all the needed information to create the Official House Flipper 2 Roadmap - Part 2!
This new roadmap is actually an HF2-only roadmap - we decided that there's going to be a separate one for House Flipper 1, which still gets new updates and even has a new DLC on the way!
But getting back to the new HF2 roadmap, here it is:
Instead of months, we decided to group all the incoming content into quarters, and as you can see, quite a few things are currently in the making! We still have a couple of aces up our sleeves to reveal this year (oh yes we know you love pools! 🌊)

🌋 The "Floor is Lava" Community Contest was an amazing experience!
Even though we know that the theme was very specific and not exactly for every House Flipper builder out there, we had lots of fun with experiencing your creativity and going through all the different Lava tracks!

✨ New update brings a brand new contest - The Fairytale Contest!
The Fairytale Update is here, and the currently ongoing contest (until the end of June) strictly relates to the new theme! This time we also made sure to avoid any restrictive rules!
Just stay within the theme and simply... "Build a house straight out of a fairy tale!" 🧚
🩵 The rules are simpler than ever!
1. Create a new property in the House Flipper 2 Sandbox Mode. 2. Build a house fitting the theme of the contest - "A house straight out of a fairy tale!" 3. Upload the finished property to the Mod.io website with at least 3 screenshots best showcasing the project, as well as check the “Fairytale Contest” tag in the upload process. 4. Make sure to submit your entry by June 30, 2024, 23:59, Polish time (CEST)!

New:
“We found a lost child in the forest“ - a brand new job!
”A fairytale house” - a house you can buy after completing the job!
The long-awaited Before/After feature is here for Story Mode!

2 new furniture assemblies - a wardrobe in two parts.
Loading screen tips!
The Flipper tool now has different screens for different modes (to make them easier to distinguish).
Newly unlocked jobs, assemblies, houses, and perks are now marked!
3 additional cut patterns.
2 paint textures: "Rough plaster" and "Sand faced plaster".
“Bessie's Cup” - an award item for unlocking all achievements!
Wagons can now be attached to toy trains! 🚂🚋🚋🚋
The ability to choose autosave frequency for Sandbox Mode appeared in the settings menu!

Changes:
Copying the style of a lamp will also copy its light properties (brightness, temperature).
The “Sleeping in beds” perk now allows you to choose when you’ll be waking up! (4 options)
Sleeping is now possible without the “Sleeping in beds” perk.
Patching irregular holes in walls is now easier - select the whole hole and watch!
Hiding the HUD also disables highlights (keyboard only).
A visual upgrade for fridge magnets (items)!
The vacuum cleaner suction area has been calibrated.
The large paint roller now marks a 3x3 area instead of a 1x1.
Fully painting a selected area automatically deselects it.
Empty paint buckets can now be thrown into the trash bag.
Changed the way game brightness correction works: "exposure" replaced with "brightness" and "gamma"!
The experience cost for unlocking Flipper skills perks has been reduced.
Cleaning with the “Faster cleaning” perk got even faster!
[UI] Unified UI for elements where custom text can be entered, e.g., carpet Limestone.
Fixes:
Fixes to fence placement mechanics.
Items that cannot be edited should no longer display the edit options.
Fixed DLSS on Ultra settings.
[Architect] V button tooltip in Surface Finisher Tool takes into account key binding changes.

📶 The BIGGEST visual / performance boost in House Flipper 2!
We're super proud to announce that our cooperation with AMD led to some new spicy results! Today, House Flipper 2 receives one of the biggest updates in terms of visuals and performance.
AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3) is a big step towards making House Flipper 2 much smoother without having to step down on your preferred quality settings. It offers both upscaling and frame generation to help you achieve a new level of visual fidelity!

Along with that, we also brought a couple of new maintenance changes, some of them specifically aimed at improving the situation for people experiencing motion sickness symptoms when playing HF2! If you're one of those flippers, please let us know if that helped you even a little bit! ❤️
📑 Lets take a look at the patch notes section:
Maintanance:
FSR updated to version 3 - enabling this option should improve the game's frame rate.
Head camera position adjusted to reduce motion sickness.
Default field of view changed from 60 to 70 - this adjustment should be better suited for people experiencing motion sickness.
Instances where houses lose materials from walls and floors should no longer occur. However, materials that were lost before the update will not be restored.
Damaged house files should no longer cause players to become stuck on an endless loading screen.
Optimization of larger plots.

Visual Masterpiece - in this category, we will be rating the entries by how visually creative and appealing the entries are, within the theme of “Floor is Lava” of course! Go totally ham with unique designs and show us how awesome your lava track can look like!
