Humans 101

Removing Humans101 from Steam

Dear Humans101 Players,

We're very sorry to announce that we will not longer be supporting Humans 101. Originally our intentions was to even further expand our content creation tools to be the Mario Maker of VR while offering a meta-narrative experience. After a couple months of consistently delivering updates with little user content created and engagement to show for it, its evident that we were unable to to foster a community that is essential to for executing a title like this (UGC VR platform). We cannot comfortably continue to have an Early Access title on Steam that we no longer have intentions of improving, and we don't think that Humans 101 in its current form is in a state we feel worthy of being a "released" title. We don't think this decision will impact many players, but it is none-the-less regrettable for those that did invest in us.

We know that every dollar counts when it comes to steam purchases even for a title at our price point. Please contact vmatos@labrodex.com regarding any refund opportunities. Thank you for support and we hope that we'll have further success in our upcoming titles. We'll be expecting to take this down in upcoming weeks.

Best wishes,

Labrodex

Humans 101 - Patch 0.9.3

Hello Humans101 Subjects,

We've rolled out our patch sometime late last week but wanted more time to check it out on our live build before announcing our exciting new Primitive Module Actor & New Grouping System! Players can now build custom shapes and assets by assembling using smaller pieces and changing their color. The new grouping paired with this change now allows for custom behavior to treat groups as a single object and to customize logic with it. This means players can now grab grouped objects and assign a tag to them allowing for some creative new experiment options!

Below is our changelist:

Art Additions

- New H101 Doubloon Asset
- Primitive Shapes Pack
o Cone
o Cube
o Cylinder
o Sphere

- Primitive Shapes can now change colors!

Feature Updates

- Players are now able to designate settings for grouped objects
- Added multi-edit settings for multiple objects within a module
- Added grouped grabbing and physics simulations
- Added trigger responses for grouped and multi-edited objects

Bug Fixes

- Fixed Trash Can collision
- Flarnak's theme now properly starts when launching the game during his story modules
- Grabbing collisions now work more properly when physics objects are next to each other
- Objects that are respawned with movement now properly follow their original movement path.

Humans101’s Product Roadmap publicly available for voting now!

Hello Steam friends!

Last week we said we had exciting news and here it is! We mentioned before, our goal is to eventually host a massive library of uniquely created games by the community. We know this is ambitious and it’ll take some time, but here’s what we’re going to do to get there:
1. Like any Early Access title, we’ll be closely monitoring the steam forums to get input from the community. We’ll be making patching every other Tuesday alternating between Content patches (new assets and story modules) and Builder patches (new tools to play with for creating experiments).
2. In today’s patch, we’ve incorporated a feedback button from within the games to report bugs, request new features, or submit generalized feedback on certain experiences.
3. Most importantly, we’re making our product roadmap available for ANYONE with a trello account (free) to vote at Trello Voting Board. We’ll be drawing from the most voted item on each list and putting it in our development sprint every other Monday. We’ll also be populating these lists from the internal feedback button in the game. This is our way of showing that we’re listening and we’re ready to provide players with the tools they want to build any game they want!

So make sure to request some new features and assets for the experiment builder in the coming weeks. You may find your submission on the trello board. If not, feel free to throw in the vote in the feature or asset that looks most interesting to you!

Take care!
