DevBlog: Asia Server Upgrade
Currently, our Asia battle servers are located in Tokyo. Players who had previously played in our SEA server during Early Access are now reporting latency issues when connecting to Asia.
After further review, we are adding two additional battle servers to our Asia region during our Jan. 25 maintenance (details here). These battle servers will be located in Singapore instead and not Tokyo. When you select the Asia region, there will be a 50/50 chance of connecting to a battle server in either Tokyo or Singapore.
Although this is not the most optimal solution, we have decided not to split these servers into two regions yet since there’s currently a delicate balance between performance issues and matchmaking queue times that we need to consider. We will continue to analyze and review the data we have and will make any necessary adjustments as needed.
In the meantime, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We thank you for your patience and support while we improve your experience.
