Hello, my dear citizens!
Do you remember my brief accouter with the Hollywood? Well, we have strengthen the cooperation and made a short biographical film! Wow, right?! I am really proud of this footage. Can you guess who is this movie about?
Yeah, of course it’s about me!
You simply have to watch it since it tells my backstory (I know it’s hard to imagine, but I was once a small boy too!), and because it beautifully done. I hope this masterpiece gets a Oscar nomination. If it doesn’t I will issue the executive order telling so!
Anyway, in this movie you will be able to see some other presidents and events that have shaken the American society. You will also see me growing up during those troublesome times and dreaming of being in charge and becoming the President myself.

My dear citizens,
Today I am talking to you from the movie capital of the world – Hollywood. You may wonder why I am here, and the answer is: I have been making a clip just for you! I wanted to show you what my daily routine looks like and how I communicate with the rest of the world via electronic devices. So here it is, the first film I ever made:

As you can see, I have access to such cool features as a social media platform – Screecher and the Post Master mail server. They allow me to say what’s on my mind and quickly react to events as they unfold. I can always choose the answer that reflects my current mood and wait for the reactions. I have a lot of followers, so they always leave comments below my screeches!
I know that people don’t regularly check their emails – that’s too bad! Every day I receive so many offers and weird messages... it would be such a waste not to go through them all. I assure you, there are some hidden gems out there! Anyway, the time to reply to each email is limited, so you better hurry up!
I have many ways of communicating without even having to move from my desk. It is important to #stayhome, so I am doing what is right for my nation.

Devblog #6 "Learn From Your Failures"
Hello again, my fellow citizens!
Today we are going to learn some things about failure. Sound promising, right? Well, that’s life – even I have to lose from time to time. So, care to join me?
I have a lot of responsibilities to take care of – sometimes people just storm into my office and demand answers. Some crises last for several days, others can be resolved right away, but some of them are never to be resolved because of the previously chosen path… It really depends on the problem and topic but, hey, no worries. Even if you fail to help me and want to give it one more shot, it won’t get boring. The world has so many stories to be told that I can guarantee you that the presidency is never exactly the same (and trust me – I have seen a few).
Maybe after the failure you will start to wonder – how did you do compared to other presidents? I am wondering about that too! (Just kidding, I am always doing great). After each story you will get feedback – short cut scenes will provide you with the results of your actions. Cool, right? You can brag about it online and see how others solved similar issues!
The presidency does not always goes smoothly and it may end abruptly due to both our choices or statistics’ loss (those are this tiny, tiny squares that inform you how you are doing during the game). If you finish badly, you can always find a cause on the timeline and also check out the achievements – they will tell you whether you were naughty or nice. Also: grab some popcorn and watch a cutscene prepared specifically for your outcome! Maybe failing isn’t so bad after all, huh? Anyway, there are several ways of losing, and the final effect depends on the actions taken by you and me. Since, you know, we work together, right?!
If you lose – don’t worry – get up and keep fighting! As I said before, you won’t get bored, since there are so many plots, problems, issues and wars to win! Get hyped – I need you to help me get through all this!

Devblog #5: Arrested development
Oh! You actually came! Welcome aboard Air Force One!
I’m afraid it’s just you and me; none of the numerous hot singles from my area showed up in the end…
I’ve always loved flying, you know? People look like ants from up here. They act like ants too, lifting their skinny fists like antennas to heavens… Towards me, their President.
When I was a kid I used to look down and examine their little routines and struggles. And from my perspective I could make all the choices that ultimately determined their livelihood: do I share a piece of candy or pierce their nest with a stick?
And you know what? Ruling a nation is no different than being a god to some anthill. You just have to map out your choices and give them a cool name, like… I don’t know, maybe:

Now take a look! Seems pretty complicated, right?
I thought so too, which is why I asked my loyal Devs* to add cool little icons and descriptions to make it more President-friendly:
Just a quick glance can show you how many turns it will take to finish, how much it’ll cost and which sector will get affected.
Don’t be fooled though: these decisions matter and they certainly will affect the nation’s future! For example, I, characterized by my tremendous smartness, from the day one realized that if I invest enough in the economy, I can just focus on stirring drama on screecher instead of worrying about all the boring stuff!
Some naysayers from my cabinet keep telling me that “we’re exhausting our financial reserves” and that “even with limitless budget it’d be impossible to develop everything within just two presidential terms,” but I’m developing an AI to replace them. After all, with enough time and money everything’s possible! Look!
Spies? Check. Nukes? Check! Mechs? Check! More taxes? Check! Political blackmail? CHECK CHECK CHECK! I could go on forever!

Release the President!
Yes, this is it, the date you’ve been all waiting for... but before that, we want to thank you for patience, and the trust you put in us – we are doing our best to release the refined game with a lot of extra features and interesting storyline. Unfortunately it takes some time, but your devs are working hard :)
Without further ado, let’s announce the official release date of I Am Your President! All signs point to one month of the current year and this is…
October 2020! It will also be the time of the upcoming presidential election in the U.S, so we would be glad to boost the anticipation with our game. In the end, what could be sweeter than actually choosing the best available president – yourself?
Nevertheless, please keep in mind that the exact day of the premiere depends on some factors we cannot always control. Still, we are taking aim at October release and most certainly we want to publish the game before the factual election in the USA.

Not so long ago an unfriendly virus has crossed our borders. Today we are standing in the face of danger and yet, we must not show fear. I will do my best to ensure every Americans’ safety, overcome the temporary difficulties, and resist the threat. DevBlog #4 "How I met my cabinet"
Welcome to America,
I am your President and I’ll be your guide. Fasten your seatbelts and brace yourself, since there is a lot to explain.
OVAL OFFICE
Let’s start with this neat new office of mine. Lovely isn’t it? Developers made sure that it looked exactly as it should.
Here I will be able to listen to petitioners, make some important decisions and use a lot of cool features that help me managing the country. You can sit a bit on a sofa (just take a look at those comfy cushions!), but don’t drag your feet, for we have yet much to see.
STORY OF MY LIFE
I know that the picture below looks kinda odd, but hey – the result is what matters, right? And I can assure you that the result will be astonishing, since I have hired the story designers myself. So this is how they, more or less, create a plot:
Branching dialogues allow me to approach various scenarios in different ways. In the end it’s all about freedom of choice! Prepare yourself to participate in many engaging stories – would they be the ones that last for several weeks, fixed events such as midterm elections, or even the random one-day length affairs – they are all waiting for your discovery.
Remember – this is the game of consequences. Make right choices, or deal with the effects!
CABINET MEMBERS
Hey, let’s stop by for a chat with Judy Larson, one of the many cabinet members to choose from!
You can diversify the cabinet and pick the politicians that appeal to you. Use recommendations, get to know people or simply sink into their stories hidden between the lines. Would you guess that Judy is The Lord of the Rings fan, huh?
All cabinet members can affect your statistics, for better and for worse. They will also visit you on a daily basis, so better get used to them. There are twenty one positions and over sixty candidates. Who will you choose to be in charge of your country? It’s all up to you. Well, and me – obviously.
