Fixes - Removed shadows from the Ultratech Armor Type-A shield effect. - Crash fix that occurred when the Player died next to a door that was waiting to close. - Fixed Master of Space requiring more elements than necessary. - Fixed Master of the Universe requiring more elements than necessary, making it impossible to unlock. - Fixed Kraken not being marked as explored when beating it for real.
I See Red is available to play on the Steam Deck!
We can't wait: while not yet officially verified (we're working on it), the game is already tested by our team and perfectly playable on the Steam Deck. Even without that verification, you can already search the game in the console and give it a go!
After all, I See Red is a twin-stick shooter roguelite; if we go by the first, it should be clear that it is a natural candidate for this type of consoles. Even in PC, you can plug in a controller and play normally, which means a majority of the work we did to optimize the PC version, as well as adjustments we made for future releases in other consoles, served to have us working excellently in Steam Deck.

We're very happy to share with you that I See Red has obtained the Argentine Seal of Good Design as a digital export product! 🔴 The SBD (for its initials in Spanish) gathers a prestigious catalogue of the best of Argentine production, distinguishing also respected videogames; a list that I See Red now joins.
Out of all the awards and recognitions that we can receive as a videogame or at Whiteboard Games, the ones that come from our Argentine colleagues, developers and mentors are the ones that make us most proud.

Today we bring you a lot of fixes and balancing that was almost all of it based on reports made by you, our beloved players. The changes are the following:
Balance - Reduced the hook kick damage from 5 to 3. - Melee damage is now considered for the hook kick attack. - Sentient Artillery health reduced from 100 to 80. - Sentient Chaser health reduced from 35 to 30. - Sentient Security Handler health reduced from 30 to 25. - Sentient Rebounder health reduced from 65 to 50. - Sustained Energy Releaser ammo increased from 10 seconds to 12 seconds. - Tesla Projector ammo increased from 6 seconds to 8 seconds.
Changes - Small transition improvements in the Boss and the High Human difficulty musics. - Improved lightning in a room in Unknown. - Improved the Flamethrower's decorative particles - Updated internal tools and plugins for better performance, fixes and production speed. - The achievement Bip Bop has been renamed to Beep Boop. - Elements pushed by melee weapons and the hook kick now consider the total damage received for an extra push. - Improved the direction of certain knockbacks.
Fixes - Fixed the missiles from Missiles Director tracking the Player instead of enemies when used by a controlled enemy. - Crash fix when removing Head Start. - Fixed the Flamethrower and Back to Back decorative particles still playing when their owners were hidden. - The achievement Banned got its description updated to include its requirement since it was partially missing. - Fixed The Harvester from having its description and short description flipped. - Improved the interaction detection when many physical objects were close together. - Fixed a rare crash related to using the Gravity Gauntlet. - Fixed Collector awarding blocked passives. - Fixed Desperation being usable in Omen. - Gun Welder got its description updated since it was describing an incorrect behavior. - Fixed the VFX used in Loot Boxes from having the effect being restarted when exiting and entering the same room. - Fixed Unknown having a room with a decorative door marked as interactive. - Fixed Sentient Security Handler knockback not working. - Fixed certain attacks not triggering the stun chance system. - Fixed What Remains of Viktor Ivanov spike attack from not playing its fade out transition. - Tentative crash fix when firing the Railgun. - Tentative crash fix when firing at the Mech Bodyguard. - Tentative crash fix when destroying a body using Brutal Vampirism. - Tentative crash fix when an enemy dies having the Alien Mask. - Fixed rendering issues with the Giant Blind Crab. - Fixed So It Begins movie controls sounds when pausing not playing. - Fixed enemies remaining paused forever when pausing during So It Begins. - Fixed the room sequence not pausing during So It Begins (this is tied to the "close" effect the room has which was also not playing). - Fixed strange behaviors when dying at the same time the game is paused.

As promised, we still keep working on the game providing balancing and fixes as we see fit based on your feedback. This time we bring you a very interesting and diverse patch that touches upon almost all the areas of the game.
New - Added a sound for the alien teleporter. - Added more tree variety for The Lab. - Alien throwables now have a chance to drop Space Coins. - Hangar boxes now have a chance to drop Space Coins. - Added details and interactables to a room in Scrokrals. - Added databank entry for Matbot. - Added databank entry for Viktor Ivanov's Empty Shell.
Balance - Decreased Back to Back attack cooldown (from 1s to 0.33s). - Increased Back to Back damage from 12 to 16. - Gun Welder now require less destruction to build a weapon. - Gun Welder now builds from a specific list of weapons. - Decreased Indecisive Barrage explosion radius from 8 to 6. - Decreased Indecisive Barrage explosion damage from 50 to 20. - Enemies now have double the chance of getting targeted by the Indecisive Barrage missile. - Economic Bubble Space Coins requirement lowered from 400 to 100. - Unstable Neural Accelerator now increases values by 2 (the negative part remains at 1). - Codependent Parasite now has its effect inverted. - Codependent Parasite rarity increased to Uncommon from Common. - Crystal Howitzer rarity increased to Epic from Uncommon. - Hot Drink rarity decreased to Rare from Epic. - Decreased Printing Matter shop price from 5000 to 1500. - Decreased Legendary passive price from 2800 to 2500. - Decreased Epic passive price from 1500 to 1350. - Alien Sower cooldown decreased from 30 to 10. - Decreased Commanding Sister's health from 600 to 550. - Decreased What Remains of Viktor Ivanov's health from 2000 to 1500. - Big boxes from the human and robot levels had their Space Coin spawn amount increased. - The Railgun throws farther now. - Increased the number of Space Coins Mother and Father drops. - Increased the number of Space Coins Command Sister drops.
Changes - Internal code restructure to improve production speed for future developments. - Updated internal tools and plugins for better performance, fixes and production speed. - Updated to Unity version 2021.3.28f1, which fixes a lot of visual issues including camera transition, missing VFXs, improves performance and has better compatibility. - Minor CPU performance improvements. - Improved rendering quality of trees. - Rendering performance improvements for trees. - Drastically increased the lightning quality in the Forbidden Forest. - Improved the timing of the robot teleporter sound. - Updated many different floor designs from the alien levels. - Improvements to how the 3D audio is played in the game. - Improved the SFX mixing quality. - Removed certain passives from the prologue level. - Modified the race of many passives for the databank. - Buying a passive from the shop now picks up the passive immediately. - Moved the cloning tutorial after the cloning recording sequence. - Animated the disappearance of the Commanding Sister's shield. - Made so that the Escape Ship doesn't push the Energy Blades. - Reworked how the trophies from the shelf are rendered. - Adjusted a weird camera placement in a room in Ulmos. - Made so that pickables cannot be destroyed while they are in your hands (i.e. they could catch in fire and then crash the game).
Removed - Removed Gameforge's logo from the opening cutscene, their animated logo from the game's initialization and the legal line from the credits screen. I See Red and its PC publisher Gameforge part ways
You may have noticed that I See Red's storefronts no longer feature Gameforge, its release publisher.
The reason behind this is that Whiteboard Games and Gameforge have mutually agreed to part ways on this project in search of new horizons. Don’t worry: we are still working on future updates as well as continuing our work on getting the game to new platforms.
Everyone at Whiteboard wishes our friends there the best in their future adventures. We are thankful for the work we did together and more than ready for what comes next, both regarding this raging twin-stick shooter roguelite as well as other exciting projects.

Fixed even more effects that were drawn below blood decals. Fixed interactions of certain enemies when the Player becomes invisible. Hey! We have been working non-stop to figure out why the game was crashing for some of you! And we have figured it out! After talking with Unity we came to the conclusion that it was a bug with the engine, so we updated the engine version and that was it! Not only that but the game now performs better due to some upgrades introduced in the new version.
Changes - Improved reflections in The Lab. - Cloning Recording Sequence is now faster. - Removed the distortion from One Last Rage as it wasn't adding much visually and had a handful of render issues. - Improved Player's blood in the Escape Cutscene. - Improved mist and fog effects throughout many levels.
