The demo of icosi-do is live! And - after a bugfix - even working! Well, maybe the cloud saves aren't working yet; I'll look into that. Let me know what you think!
About that Demo ...
It turned out that I misunderstood the rules and I was in fact able to publish the demo already. (I guess it is only the full app that I can only publish at the end of the month.)
So, I published the demo, but it turns out that the initial settings are incorrectly initialised for some reason. To fix them:
Go to "SETTINGS" (press "D" or cursor right or right mouse button three times to get there)
Enter the settings menu (press "Enter" or left mouse button)
Go to "RESET APP" (press "D" or cursor right or right mouse button 13(!) times to get there)
Reset the settings (press "Enter" or left mouse button)
I'll try to fix the problem as soon as possible. Sorry!
UPDATE: I uploaded a bugfix, which is apparently already live. So ... everything good, I guess.
Demo submitted!
I've completed the implementation of Steam Cloud Saves and submitted a first version of the demo for review ... BUT I noticed that I cannot publish it until the end of the month because of one of Steam's rules. So, yeah, that will take a few more days. On the positive side: there is plenty of time for me to fix my upload in case it didn't work. (It was the first time I've uploaded something to Steam.)
The next items on my to-do list are achievements and statistics. And on July 13, Valve is organising a zoom call about the October Steam Next Fest.
By the way, fun fact: "Icosido" is also the name of a music piece for carillon by Julie Zhu. Check out her TEDx talk!
