Secret Mission 1 Graphical and Performance update

Weather
Added snow fall and changed cloud movement direction to match.

Post Processing
Reworked the vibrancy and glow effects and removed excess post processing features that were costing performance with little or no visible change when removed.

Enemies
Changed some positioning and timing of mission so that the mission is well passed and constant challenge.

Boss
Removed bad colliders and reworked the collider system on the boss to get better performance during the boss fight.
Increased the amount of damage boss can take by about 50% to all of it's parts except the energy shields.
Increased the boss's core life by a lot it had been lower for testing but now it is where it should be.

Game performance and manger updates



Buildings and structures
Updated the manager so that when these objects are no longer needed they get destroyed.

Enemy updates
Went through all the enemies, and removed extra scripts, and modified particle systems for better performance.

Added an enemy management system that handles which enemies are active through out the level and refined the destroy system to make sure once they are no longer needed they get destroyed properly.


Mission 6 Release

Mission 6 Release
Another tough level that has two rescue unlocks, Ship #5 and the Bomb technology researcher






Performance Update
Built and added a resource processing system that greatly improves the games performance in frames per second.

Graphical Updates
Added new weather and lighting to the missions, to greatly improve the look and feel of the game.

Ambience audio added
Weather condition audio added to the missions, ambience audio level can be adjusted in settings.

Game play Updates


Secret Mission 1 Boss Added life and shield drops to some of the boss's parts to help with difficulty

Patch 05282023, Fixed failed mission retry and quit button navigation fix.

Failed mission screen
Fixed bug that prevented players from navigating between the Retry and Quit buttons. So players can now select Quit if they are giving up on the current mission.

Secret Mission 1 Version 2 Update

Updates
Secret Mission 1 Boss improvements.
Removed excess colliders with boss better performance and less processing required.
Increased Boss movement speed better difficulty.
Changed Boss movement path so that it is more on the screen and more engaging.
Updated the amount of damage boss can take both in shields and parts.

Fixed some structures in the mission player colliding with buildings, was not a good.

Secret Mission 1 Build

Secret Mission 1 is now added to the game, this can be unlocked by beating Mission 5 while destroying all enemies.

-- Improvements and fixes
Changed the graphics of some of the projectiles so they are more vivid.

Fixed a bug where player would collide into something and it would destroy your ability to fire anymore.
Enemy model collider types refined for better performance.
Both player and enemy code tweaks to remove excess processing per frame.

Patch 04-25-2023

Fixed 2nd player user interface navigation glitches.

Fixed in game point display at the top of screen during missions so it doesn't look choppy anymore.

Removed excess colliders from structures and other mission objects that didn't need them to improve frame rate.

And other small tweaks as I reviewed through my source code, finding and fixing behaviors that would increase processing time.

Currently working on Secret Mission 1 and Mission 6 and plan to have them out soon, as a one man team I had taken a break for a while but I am back to it and pushing forward with development.

Patch 04202023

Fixed a glitch with two players in mission 5 where second player input was being sent to player one. Also did a performance fix on enemy projectiles improving ram and processing usage.

Game engine update.

Brought game up to date with the latest version of Unity, with long term stability build.
