The Memory Book Update

Hey Everyone!! :D

Welcome to December!! The Memory Book update went out late/early last night. We tested so many ways to implement the completed memories. This seemed to work the best. As always, we would absolutely love your feedback!!

Other Changes:

  • new Background for dark blue tiles level in Campaign
  • new Font implemented throughout (much better rendering)
  • ShaddowBoxes delay on death bug fixed - thanks Chris in Czech!
  • Menus and UI should now be uniform


COMING TODAY

  • 2 story arcs - they are written just didn't get implemented last night
  • new Achievements


COMING FRIDAY

  • 2 new bosses - mostly finished need to balance
  • Game credits


Today we will be implementing the new set of Achievements. We promised we would wait until we are out of Early Access to help keep inventories nice and neat which brings us to our other big announcement.

Imagine Me will be releasing out of Early Access Tuesday, December 9th.



We will continue to release updates, events (like our Holiday themes!!), and stories. The updates will start off as monthly and then become bimonthly (ie. January, March, May, and so on) basically for forever. We are NOT saying goodbye to Imagine Me. We want to move forward with the Steam platform :D We would LOVE to hear your thoughts, concerns, worries, happy sentiments, etc.

This game is for you, all of you. We so love and appreciate the journey we've been on (some of you since day one!!) and we are so excited to continue together with Imagine Me :D

Intro Scene Build is LIVE!!!

Hey Everyone!! :D

We pushed the build with the Intro Scene! :D Please let me know what you think, what you would change, etc. I (hollie) do not have the "Memory Book" live yet as we're trying to decide where to put it in the Menu system and working out the flow of the selection - nothing seems to be intuitive. We'll get her worked out though :D Look for that build maybe tomorrow ^_^ We'll keep you posted here so I don't spam your inboxes. NOW GO PLAY!! ^_^

I'm soooo happy with the progress made today!! Intro Scene is DONE!! WOOT!!! I'll be testing on other devices tonight to make sure that everyone gets a great experience. If you want a sneak peek there's a link in the spoiler tags below!! :D YEAY!!!

Quick Bug Patches This Morning :)

Good Morning! :D
We pushed a quick bug fix this morning for the Quick Guide in the Options menu. Thanks so much to everyone for helping with bug reports! :D I'll keep you updated with this weekends Major Build as the day goes on :D

Happy Friday! What to Expect This Weekend

Happy Friday!!

I hope you all had an awesome week. I just wanted to give you an update on what is coming this weekend. :D

To Do For 11/23 Build

  • Finish Campaign Intro Scene Animations
  • Confirm Users Can Skip Intro Scene (controller and keyboard)
  • Confirm Timing on Multiple Devices
  • Confirm Correct Launch On "new users" Accounts
  • Implement New Font For Stories
  • Prototype Completed Memory Arcs as Polaroids


If you would like to see how the Intro Scene is coming along, I've been doing a decent job of posting videos to the tumblr.

We'll also be live streaming development during the day on Saturday :D I'll put up an event when we start.

Bug Fixes and More Bugs to Fix **UPDATED**

**UPDATED**
The bug fixes build was pushed live :D The teleports work, auto-advance works, and tiles in Challenge Levels all match now (Chris is color blind ^_^). If you run into any issue - please let us know. You have all done such a wonderful job. I can't gush about you all enough!! - your biggest fan, hollie <3

Hey Awesome-Faces!

Just a heads up we pushed a build last night that fixed some bugs and also created a few. Right now when you fail a Challenge Level it will auto-restart you but if you succeed/win a Challenge Level it will bring you back to the Main Menu. The teleports in the Challenge Levels are also not working (I fixed one set and broke the other). We'll have these fixed tonight :D

Thanks so much to everyone reporting the bugs! Its truly invaluable feedback!!

Mid November (Part 1) Update!

Its mid-November already everyone! :D

This update removes the candy! Your legacy stat stays till next year! :D Did you catch that? We're doing it again next year! It seems like everyone enjoyed the little holiday fun, so don't be surprised if you see us continue the trend with other holidays (hint hint). Here's the updates for this build:

  • Fixed "Quick Guide" / Pause Menu bug - community submitted! woot!!
  • Challenge Levels now Restart the same level if you die
  • Challenge Levels now automatically move you on to the next level with success - both of these were also community suggestions! :D
  • Added New Background for Purple Tile theme


Coming Up This Week:

  • Robbe's story intro
  • Book "Chapters" to reread stories as whole units


We missed two weeks of Twitch streams due to schedule conflicts. We want to take a pole to see if changing the day/time would be easier for everyone? Please comment below if you have a preference (note your timezone :D) otherwise we'll keep it as is.

UPDATED!!! **Please Read** The Soundtrack is really TRULY live

Updated (again) 11/11/14


We have an awesome Steam rep everyone. With everyone's help, we've been able to track down the bug. The problem was a parsing error but only on a server affecting Southern Europe and Japan. You should all have access to the the soundtrack now :D Thank you - everyone - who helped pitch in and provide the details needed for Steam to track down the error. You are wonderful! We'll update the cosmetics of the soundtrack later ^_^ For now, enjoy!!

Update for 11/11/14
We have multiple reports of the soundtrack still not available for all users. We have been in contact with our Steam rep and are waiting to hear back. If we do not have a working solution today, we will add the soundtrack back to the Local Files of the game. I am so sorry this has bee[notn such an ordeal.

I, personally, want to thank the community members who have worked to trouble shoot with me, give me feedback and status reports.

I will post again when we either A) have a working solution or B) have included the soundtrack with the Local Files to give you all access to the soundtrack again.

We've Touched it All

So, yeay for builds!!!

Tonight we touched every single part of the game. We broke some things and some things broke on us, but we’ve playtested it and this build is ready to be passed on to you. :)

What’s new:


  • Smaller Spike Hitboxes. Yep. We
  • finally* took the time to set this up right. Please let me know how they do!
  • Candy audio. The candy was supposed to have audio the whole time, we just forgot to click play... ya. :/
  • Few tweaks with the Goblin boss. A new community member did some pretty awesome functionality QA and broke the game. That would be a good thing, by the way. So many many thanks to all the community members who have done such awesome work. We really truly need and appreciate you!!!
  • Quick Guide Splash. FINALLY!!! You can access the Quick Guide at almost any time using the L (for Learn) button or the Right Bumper. It also exists in the Options menu. It will also be included in the game intro when we get that figured out.
  • Fullscreen/Windowed checkbox. Thanks to a different awesome community member, this little bug was tracked down. We re-labeled the check box to be more of a toggle. It will toggle Fullscreen or Windowed mode depending on how you launched the game. Best. Community. Ever.
  • Inputs Updated. This should have happened when we remapped the controls, but we didn’t realize how important it was. However, you shouldn’t notice anything different unless you had custom set your inputs. You may need to again. Those of you who were having controls/input difficulties - this should take care of it :D


Whew! Another good weekend!! We literally touched every piece of the game in less than 24 hours - SO - if you happen to find something we broke and didn’t realize it, please let me know. Most of ya know the drill: Screenshots!!! ^_^ <3 not necessary but definitely help me :D

I would absolutely love feedback on background art, story, bosses... you name it! We’re at a great place in the development cycle now that things can really take shape quickly :D

Major Headway Today :D

Few tweaks with the goblin boss - this I just finished but its not live yet
Controls/Quick Guide Splash - FINALLY!!!

I'd love to stream on twitch while I'm working but Imagine Me is a bit bigger than it used to be and my system doesn't like running Unity, Steam, Twitch, and the Open Broadcast software....
