New Multiplayer mode to be introduced (Work in Progress)
Hi all, we are sorry for the few updates since the end of december but we are working on a multiplayer version of the game that will completely replace many things of the current game and so we had to reduce the time spent updating old things.
We are doing this because we think that will add a lot of fun to the game and we believe that also single players without a connection will be satisfied.
We still need at least a couple of months to complete this, we have already written many key aspect of the multiplayer mode and we will provide a test version for free download in a while so we can be sure to have a properly tested product the day we will upload the multiplayer version of the game.
Features will be:
max 8 player coop via Lan or Internet and Steam integration.
Single player mode
Character selection
lobby
Map selection
In Game chat
Weapons (we will add combat)
A real first person and third person character mode
Block building system with the possibility to place, save and restore up to
12.000 blocks of different shapes and materials plus many actors like the external parts that are currently being used (solar panels, lasers etc)

Version Beta 1.9: Various hotfixes
We are checking again and again each game feature to see if there are issues and so we have made a lot of minor modifies and these are the most important one:
We have removed destructible meshes also when gathering resources because they caused random crashes, we have added some FX to replace the effect.
Added footsteps again that were lost when changing character movement. Now it moves some dust according to the terrain.
Also made the effects of gravity and air density to modify the character movement, friction, air control, acceleration ect.
We have also worked on the interface to make it easier to use
Fixed tessellation amount on Mars that was too much and increased rock amount. Also rocks, when destroyed, will now grant a resource to collect
Made a quick binding key 1 equip unequip the drill 2 equip unequip the repair unit and 3 is for the jetpack
We are still working on a quest system that is already implemented but we will gradually add missions like something to find on the planet etc. You can see it clicking the chat button on live mode, an npc will appear and a dialogue will help you select the argument and, in next updates, also all the missions available.
Version Beta 1.3: Preliminary fixes before engine upgrade
Hi all, before upgrading the engine version we have prepared an update to fix some issues and to add some gameplay content. We will delay engine upgrade by a week or two.
Added a backpack like item to repair base parts, it consumes electricity and you can equip it to repair base parts or vehicles.
Fixed base part repair system and notification bugs
Removed destructible meshes for base part destruction. Each of these destructible meshes were about 200 mb and there are many parts. So we removed it to free some disk space to be used differently. We will find another solution for base part destruction. (Game size is now 10gb on disc)
Changed interface:
For building a live mode
Added Enceladus map, open world, with geysers erupting and Saturn as moon visible at night
Made some changes to Mars, adding some erosion and fixing tessellation and texture issues.
We have also added many Lods for rovers and other static meshes that were very polygon heavy.
Extended inventory slots to 100 and weight also to 100 kg
Updating engine version to latest one, next patch
Hi all, we are updating the game engine version to the latest one and we are waiting for some plugins to be updated before releasing the new version.

Version Beta 1.1: Mouse Placement Hotfix, FPS cam changes
Fixed mouse placement system for base parts that wasn't accurate. Now it's much easier to place things like walls or interior items.
We have also changed the first person camera to be used as main camera for a proper first person view and not only as temporary camera as it was

Venus map re-added
Overall map size reduction: removed unused components in the edges of all maps to reduce overall game size and the quantity of objects in the maps (more maps, same map scale, less landscape components)
Changed mars and moon landscape material with the old version with dunes that was better looking
Fixed resolution settings not being applied in the starting menu
Fixed create character button that wasn't working
Version Beta 0.9: Hotfix
Fixed A bug with Npcs refreshing inventory and causing big fps drops
Fixed a bug with aliens that were using wrong animation
Adjusted asteroids to also spawn in swarms randomly.
Radiations should now do more damage to the character when outside, we are thinking on how to add some solar storm occasionally.
re-Added zoom controls for third person camera lost when changing character movement in last update.
Version Beta 0.8: New Character and NPCs Movement
We have implemented a new character movement based on capsule with a lot of options to control friction, gravity, inertia etc... The same will be used by npcs

We think that it's much more like you would expect a third person character to be but there's still some work to do with cameras controls and we would like to know what you think of it.
We also changed ai movement to this one to be more realistic. Their behaviour is still to improve.
Portable drill is now a backpack with a laser turret on it, you just need to use right mouse button or right thumbstick to aim that should be more easy now.
Jetpack is also changed and it works pressing the fire button after jumping and consumes oxygen like before.
Resources that can't fit an inventory are now spawned on the terrain as items collectables later and saved.
We have some concerns about possible crashes with destructible meshes: The game stuck when you destroy a rock, a resource or a building. If it happens please report it.
Version Beta 0.8: Hotfix
We have changed the camera system to only move camera when right mouse button is pressed, otherwise the character only moves the head. For gamepad users they have left thumbstick to move character and right thumbstick to move camera.
We have fixed a bug with aiming that wasn't allow to aim down or up. Now it works and it should be easier to control aiming with the new camera controls.
Fixed a bug with menus wrongly going into gamepad mode (that is to use right thumbstick left or right to select menu buttons with a gamepad to avoid using the mouse). This wasn't allowing the placement via mouse position for keyboard and mouse users. So now you should be able to place base parts with mouse position and without the need to move character's head.
We have removed planet camera because it was unuseful and very GPU heavy.
Now, when the third person camera will be too close to the character it will switch to first person camera and reset immediatly after that to avoid camera clipping through character and similar.
Also added a weapon offset camera view on right shoulder of the character for aiming.

There was a problem creating new characters and also the menu wasn't much clear to use so we have fixed it. We have also added more resolution supports until 8k
