V2.0.4 Update Log

Optimized English localization for the Desires Flowing DLC content

Character Guide | Blood Rose Corruption Build

In the Holy Copper Monastery, Isabella is a special being. She is not bound by the rules of the church, often disappearing for months, and not accepting tasks assigned to her by anyone other than the head of the church, Naga.
Some say she often shows up around the Golden Water Harbor, dressed as a maid and serving tea; others say they have seen her in the home of one of the generals of the Iron Scraps Kingdom, like a guest of honor; and there are also rumors that she wanders the mass graves along the Liberties, dressed in a black mourning dress, crying and laughing alone at an unmarked tombstone.
However, if there's something about Isabella that none of the congregation would deny, it would be that although her personality was extreme, she was so enchanting and unusual that anyone could not help but look at her more often, and had a group of passionate followers in the church.
There was a Lord of a big name even openly confessed to her marriage proposal. The congregation thought Isabella will agree. To their surprise, however, the Lord died only one week later.
Since then, no one call Isabella by her name. Instead, she's called "Blood Rose" by all. But Isabella herself does not care. Because right at the bottom of her heart, from the very beginning, there is only one person, and he's the exact reason why Isabella chose to join the Holy Copper Monastery.

Starting Position

The unique card "Pain Belief" swiftly stacks Magic Copper Power on minions, enhancing Worship, making this zero-cost card highly valuable. Magic Copper Power is the core buff for the corrosion flow's stacking damage.

The secret card "Crystal of Shelter" mitigates the side effects of Magic Copper Power, inflicting substantial Corruption Damage on our minions. This card enables minions to withstand more Corruption Damage, facilitating output through Magic Copper Power and accumulating Corruption Damage. When equipped with the "Innate Rune," it is recommended to use it on core minions at the start to reduce early battle health consumption.

The initial talent "Adaptation" decreases the health pressure from the side effects of Magic Copper Power, complementing "Crystal of Shelter" to minimize these effects.

Build Idea

1. Output

Blue-Green Card Selection
When drawing cards, prioritize those containing Magic Copper Power and activation effects. Below are some recommended high-quality cards
"Copper Whip" not only grants Magic Copper Power but also activation effects, with a multiplicative increase upon repeated use.

“Premature Evolution”,“Benediction of the End”,“Magic Copper Poison”,“Aggression”,all contribute to Magic Copper Power or its activation, boosting Corruption damage.

Gold Card Selection
The essential core card is "Corruption Spread," storing corrosion inflicted on minions and enemies throughout the battle. This card enables concentrated bursts of damage, potentially reaching high instant kill damage of 1000 to 2000 in a single battle.

If "Corruption Spread" is unavailable, "Pollution" can be a key card, significantly enhancing the returns from Corruption Damage.

Other viable gold cards include: Decay Strike, Transmutation Potion, Catalyst, and Accelerated Mutation.

2. Defence

Puppeteer's defensive cards are relatively weak, relying on minions for protection. Prioritize the main body's survival, and consider the following decent defensive cards:

"Front Defense" provides Block and Taunt to the front row, shielding the main character from significant damage.
"Protect to the Death" grants Taunt to minions, effectively handling monsters targeting the main character.

"Support" allows minions to absorb damage on behalf of the main character.

For defensive gold cards, consider using "Revelation," which grants all Block when Worship is gained. When paired with Goblin Priest (Worship increase each turn), this ensures a fixed Block value for the entire team each turn.

3. Loop

Prioritize cards that facilitate cycling, enabling the rapid return of "Corruption Spread" to the hand through zero-cost cycling cards, leading to multiple instances of massive damage output.

Followe Selection

1、The top priority is "Scorched Centurion," a must-have minion that should be upgraded first. Its multi-hit attacks trigger Magic Copper Power multiple times, dealing area damage, and its passive ability "Slave Strike" adds "Magic Copper Whip" to the hand each turn, making it an excellent fit for the corrosion flow.

2、Next in line is "Gunner," whose intent each turn is Corruption Damage, aiding in stacking Corruption Damage for burst output. When Worship is high, Gunslinger's output per turn is substantial. (Gunner's passive ability is also potent)

3、Lastly, consider auxiliary minions such as "Goblin Priest," "Tainted Goblin," "Red Iris Spirit," and "Yellow Forest Fairy."
"Tainted Goblin" Taunts each turn, effectively shielding other minions and the main character from harm.
"Goblin Priest" grants the main character 1 cost each turn, crucial for Puppeteers without partner recruitment.
"Red Iris Spirit" adds 25 Block to the main character each turn, significantly enhancing survival.
"Yellow Forest Fairy" adds 15 Block to all each turn, bolstering the team's survival capabilities.

Card Strategy

Stage One

Early game, prioritize obtaining "Scorched Centurion." If unavailable, opt for auxiliary minions as mentioned earlier.
Consider acquiring summoning cards to bridge the early game without high-quality minions.

Replace attack cards with higher-quality ones. Defensive cards for Puppeteer can wait, as they can provide Magic Copper Power to minions.
The following are excellent replacements for basic attack cards:

Runes should be prioritized with "Innate Rune" and "Transmute Rune." "Initiative Rune" should be used on "Crystal of Shelter" to obtain it at the beginning, allowing the core minion to start using Magic Copper Power for output. "Transmute Rune" should be used later on "Corruption Spread" to repeatedly play "Corruption Spread" inflicting high damage.

"Magic Copper Power Rune" should be picked when encountered, and can be embedded on cards later to increase the stacking speed of Magic Copper Power.

Stage Two

In the mid-game, optimize your deck by acquiring Magic Copper Power cards, activation cards, and card-drawing means that your faction requires.
Additionally, focus on upgrading your core minions as much as possible to make their intent cards and passive abilities stronger.
You can continue to fill in any missing cards at the shop.

Stage Three

The overall strategy involves giving "Scorched Centurion" the Crystal of Shelter, then using cards that increase Magic Copper Power on "Scorched Centurion" before using "Temporary Magic Copper Whip" to deal massive Corruption Damage to monsters. While dealing damage, the damage of the card "Corruption Spread" also increases continuously due to the increase in Corruption Damage, ultimately leading to a burst of damage to end the battle.

Recommended Talents

1. Cursed Luck & Solidification & Alternate Energy
As Puppeteer is a profession without partners to increase energy, Curse Connection, Solidification, and Backup Energy provide crucial energy support.

2. Loyal Shield, to enhance the survival ability of the main character.

3. Fastidious Taste, for more stable acquisition of the required minions.

4. Symbiosis, to boost the main character's survival ability.

5. Indies Gift, directly promoting a minion by one star, enabling the faction to take shape earlier.

Character Guide | Clyde & Brand Build

Clyde's parents are both mechanics from the Fireeyes. Due to their busy work schedules, he spent most of his childhood with his grandfather—a collector of antiques.

His grandfather's lifelong wish was to live long and never grow old, so he obsessively searched for the treasures left by the deities on the land of Mekka. Among his grandfather's collection, Clyde's favorite items were the gemstones. Influenced by his parents, Clyde often placed those brightly colored stones on instruments for testing.

When he was 17, Clyde went with his grandfather to a nameless town on the border of Greyrock. After much inquiry, they learned from a girl in the town that a stone was secretly revered in the town, but the townspeople had no intention of selling it...

Later, Clyde entered the Flame Blessing Academy to study. He was determined to fulfill his grandfather's wish—to achieve longevity and eternal life using Magic Copper. Thus, he began to purchase corpses privately to conduct research using Magic Copper. However, the Magic Copper intensified his desires, and his craving for the fresh bodies of humans ultimately turned him into a murderer, leading to his expulsion from the Flame Blessing Academy.

At this time, news arrived from his hometown that his grandfather was seriously ill. By his grandfather's sickbed, Clyde saw the gem from the small town. That night, an unexpected guest arrived at Clyde's home. She was the girl from years ago, but despite more than a decade passing, she remained as youthful as ever...

Starting Position

"Bounty" allows you to discard cards at a low cost, with powerful branding stacking abilities, making it the perfect exclusive card.
The initial secret skill card, "Mutating Regeneration" enhances the damage power of followers & summons while providing healing abilities, making it an excellent support card.

The initial talent, "Deepen the pain," is the only special branding, enhancing damage effects. When combined with the character's exclusive follower, "Mechanical Hound," the double stacking of follower characteristics and branding damage increase provides substantial early-game output capabilities, with explosive damage in the later stages.

Build Idea

1. Output/h3]
Prioritize cards that can stack "Brand", ensuring increased damage while allowing followers & summons to focus on the highest threat enemies, significantly reducing combat pressure.

CORE CARD "Psychic Scars"
Perfectly solves the mechanism where the number of branding layers halves each turn, ensuring continued stacking of accumulated damage buffs, making every hit more painful.
Combined with "Betrayal" in battles against multiple enemies, it ensures uninterrupted output.

2. Defense

"Front Defense" "Protect to the Death" and "Support" are all high-quality defense cards
"Taunt" can redirect attacks when the enemy targets the player, providing protection when combined with defensive followers, significantly reducing casualties

"Disruption" is particularly effective in battles against multiple enemies.

3. Loop

"Trickery" and "Glory of the Past" form an excellent pair, with each card offering impressive effects individually and synergizing to produce greater effects than the sum of their parts

"Glowing Bronze" is the king of card draw cost-effectiveness, making it worth taking regardless of the build style.

4. Recommended Followers

Malfunction
The only designated follower for branding stacking, providing a steady increase in branding layers each turn, serving as a small insurance when not drawing Brand cards

Scorched Centurion
An excellent AOE damage dealer that also generates temporary cards to assist other followers in dealing damage.

Card Strategy

Stage One

In the first stage, prioritize enhancing the ability to stack "brand" to ensure output.
Replace the initial attack with cards containing the "brand" property. If unavailable, prioritize high-value cards to transition and maintain strength.
If you encounter the "brand" rune in the shop, do not miss it.

Stage Two

In the second stage, strengthen defense and sustainability by replacing initial defense cards with high-quality defensive cards while supplementing card draw capabilities.
In addition to the three cards mentioned above, the following two are also excellent choices.

Stage Three

In the third stage, optimize the deck, streamline the card pool, embed key cards with runes, upgrade follower levels, and improve overall stability and strength.
The overall strategy is to rapidly stack branding layers, relying on increased damage for locking and swiftly eliminating high-threat enemies.

Character Guide | Adeline & Summoner Build

Adeline isn't the youngest preacher in the Holy Copper Monastery, but she's definitely the most devout one, just as devout as when she competed to be the priestess of the old gods many years ago.
Adeline used to think that the old gods were benevolent and great, and so were their believers. Regardless of gender or social status, as long as one worships devoutly, one will hear the voice of the gods. But what happened later? Adeline herself couldn't remember. She only knew that it was the invisible gods who chose her…

Starting Position

Exclusive Card "Evil Minion" — can summon an attack dealing 9 damage and has a summons with the effect of "Death Whisper: deals 20 damage to all enemies." It can be used to block enemy attacks and inflict decent AOE damage.
Initial Skill Card "Evil Spirit Shield" — a powerful low-cost blocking card that also deals a certain amount of damage when used on summons, suitable for both offense and defense.

The initial talent “Dead Souls” works well with the summoning strategy. With the powerful Death Whisper power of the Summons, it brings you unexpected benefits at each summon.

Build Idea

The summoning strategy can gain stable output ability by summoning powerful Followers, while also causing explosive damage by actively triggering the Death Whisper of summons. The creatures summoned can take turns to defend the main character, eliminating concerns about health issues. When necessary, sacrificing summons can lead to powerful effects.
It is important to flexibly use the "substitution" mechanism in summoning strategy — when the slots are full, summoning a new creature requires selecting one creature to "substitute," allowing the substituted creature to directly trigger the Death Whisper effect.

1. Output

"Evil Soldier" — with decent damage effects and can be summoned repeatedly, providing good early-game presence.
"Evil Knight" — not only has excellent damage capability when on the field, but also deals at least 60 AOE damage upon death, making it one of the core cards in the summoning strategy. Although it requires sacrificing a creature, this cost is negligible for the summoning strategy.

2. Defense

"Front Defense" — grants the front row creatures the "Taunt" effect, redirecting damage from the main character to the summons.
"Scale of Destiny" — sacrifices a creature to gain a large amount of block, fitting well with the summoning strategy that can continuously summon creatures.

3. Loop

"Extract" and "Black Sheep’s Secret Order" — the ideas behind these two cards revolve around extracting cards at the cost of creature health, aligning well with the summoning strategy's characteristics, and importantly, they are both 0-cost cards!

4. Follower Recommendation

"Bamboo Fairy" — can gain permanent strength bonuses through sacrifice, making it the most suitable Follower for the summoning strategy. Upgraded, it can gain strength faster and even exceed hundreds of points in the late game!

"Gunner" — in the summoning strategy, most Followers cannot escape the fate of being sacrificed, so compared to on-field abilities, the trigger effects at the start of the turn are more important. Gunslinger can weaken the entire opposing team at the start of the turn, effectively mitigating the summoning strategy's defense shortcomings during setup.

Build Steps

1. First Stage

In the first layer, prioritize finding "Red Pilers" and "Evil Soldier," two summoning cards that can be used without sacrifice, and improve output capability by repeatedly triggering the Death Whisper effect of "Evil Minion." Additionally, obtain card draw cards like "Trickery" to prepare for subsequent repeated summons.

On the Followers side, recruit "Bamboo Fairy" when encountered. If not available, recruit "Cave Spider" or "Tarama Exile," which can cause high damage in the early game.

2. Second Stage

The second layer requires establishing an output core.
"Evil Scholar" and "Evil Knight" are important core components, to be acquired when encountered. If you can also get "Ritual" or "Irondust Evil Spirit," even better.

3. Third Stage

In the third layer, reinforce output capability based on the current output core — for example, if the output core is "Evil Knight," you can pick up "Fusion Summoning" to increase its health, or look for powerful defense cards to deal with the final boss, such as "Whispering Armor" or "Omen."

4. Rune Ideas

As the Puppeteer profession lacks means of gaining resources, the cost reduction effect brought by the "Energy Rune" becomes particularly important and is the highest priority selection for runes.
The "Retain Rune" can be embedded in cards with the "Taunt" effect to ensure they can be used when needed.
Choosing the "Innate Rune" to ensure energy cards can be drawn in the first round is also a good choice.

Talent Recommendations

1. Core Talent

"Fear spread" -- The strongest talent for the summoning strategy, without a doubt. Every summon causes 20 points of AOE Corruption damage, making it an extremely powerful presence in the early, mid, and late game.

2. Recommended Talents

"Loyal Shield" — a powerful defensive talent. The summoner's strong fielding ability makes this talent equivalent to gaining 9 blocks directly each round.
"Symbiosis" — gains the ability to transfer damage to front-row Followers.
"Alternate Energy" — effectively compensates for Puppeteer's lack of resources.
